I have stayed here for two seperate long trips and love it 👍 absolutely fantastic location and price. The hosts are both super lovely and I have had many good chats with other guests. You occasionally get a rude or rowdy guest as expected with a guest house but the hosts are quick to get them under control which is appreciated🩷
I highly recommend if you are looking for a cozy guest house with a great...
It was really nice being with them.
I was kinda skeptical at first because of the reviews but they were far better than what i expected. Definitely would visit them again. 10/10
Couldn't love this place anymore, the owners live on site and are are incredible business people and very friendly. If you're looking for the Ritz-Carlton experience or aesthetics, this is not it. But if you're looking for basic room and board with plenty of rooms and a warm host ,, in a nice quiet part of town you found it
Tom and Kimiko were extremely nice and lovely and were always up for a chat. The property is quite nice and the bathrooms and toilets were clean. The room we stayed in was also quite good.
Excellent place. Super market is near, train station is few meters away.
Highly recommend this Guest House. The couple who runs it speak excellent English. They are so friendly and helpful. Choose this place if you need to stay in Tokyo. Very close to a train station.

More than impressive cause of the cozy vibe and wonderful people, met a sentimental girl from Portugal and impressed even if small talks
Due to various circumstances, we ended up checking in after 9 PM, but we were still warmly welcomed. The fruit liquor available to guests at the bar and the breakfast potage and salad were both delicious!
After checking out, they even looked after our luggage, allowing us to explore Kamakura at our leisure. The owner was very kind, helping us find temples with the best plum blossom viewing times and...
A pretty good guesthouse; the rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were very welcoming. Great value for money!
Located about a 15-minute walk from the station, it's actually quite close to the beach, making it suitable for surfers.
Coffee and tea are available in the public areas, but you'll need to bring your own toiletries such as toothbrushes.
Overall, the stay was excellent. The location was convenient, easy to access, the environment was clean, and the staff were friendly.
It's a little far from the station, but it's close to the sea and has a very local feel. The interior of the historic building is very well-thought-out. There's a drink bar where you can enjoy freshly made coffee. I've become a big fan. Thank you for your hospitality.

We enjoyed the experience of an old traditional house. Easy walk to the shore and the train station and lots of dining experience. Great bakery next door.
Our host was caring and super helpful. He made sure the process was simple for check in and was available for anything we needed.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience to stay in your very own traditional Japanese house. It wasn't just one room; it was a whole house. Amazing experience. Totally recommend it.
Clean, welcoming, and great to spend time with family and friends. The staffs are very nice and friendly. I just love it.
It's hard to find. Parking is not convenient. The hotel is in an alley, very Japanese style. It's a bit inconvenient to carry luggage. The room facilities are average, and the shower area is a bit uncomfortable. It may be an old Japanese building, the facilities are like this. It's also a down-to-earth experience.
The owner was very polite. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The stairs to the second floor were a little steep but it was no issue for me and my friends. The beach is near by and also the train station. Would 100 percent recommend.

I stayed here two years ago and suddenly remembered it, so I thought I'd write a review because it was so good.
The food was delicious.
In the morning, we had a leisurely buffet breakfast in a separate seating area.
We then had dinner in our room.
There was a wide variety of dishes and it was really delicious.
The mascot cat was also adorable!
Even now, several years have passed since then, and it...
I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. Due to various circumstances, I ended up staying in a different room than planned, but the staff were considerate in every way and made my stay very comfortable. (In fact, I feel like I received better treatment than expected.)

Cozy guesthouse in Hakone, ideal for couples or to travel alone. Comfy matress and bedding and facilities are very clean too. Friendly owners and staff. Highly recommended, would visit again :-)
I chose this hotel because of its price and proximity to the station, but it was even more comfortable than I expected. The staff were friendly, I was allowed to bring my towels into the hot springs, and the beds and shared showers were well-cleaned. Overall, it was a great stay!
The hostel was really clean, and the beds were surprisingly spacious. Every area was spotless. The lady at the front desk was super friendly; we chatted a lot, and she even helped me plan my itinerary. She even said goodnight to me when she saw me still in the kitchen in the evening. A really great experience! 👍
A unique place. It's a small box, and while it's not far to anywhere in Hakone, it's a steep climb to the hotel. The hot water taps are a bit odd. The girl at reception is very friendly and speaks excellent English, and explains everything in detail. I asked to reserve a hot spring, and she agreed without any problem (everything was booked in the end).
Facilities: Outdated
Cleanliness: Meets standards
Environment: Actually very good, with a great atmosphere. The beds are the largest I've ever stayed in; four people could easily sleep in one.
Service: Average. You can ask someone to help with your luggage, but it's a bit awkward to ask female staff for help. Most things are self-service, but there's a kitchen available, and you can also order food...
The environment was fine, and the facilities were complete. However, the blankets smelled strongly of body odor, which was awful. The quality of the bedding needs improvement.

I stayed at Tokyo Hikari Guesthouse for a total of about two weeks during my month-and-a-half stay in Japan, and I truly cannot say enough good things about it.

GREAT PLACE HONESTLY. The staff was so nice, the inkeeper Jiro is a wonderful guy. We stayed in a room, everything was completely clean and as pictured but might be tight fit if you travel with big luggage. The host was super super friendly and accommodating!
A tiny, quiet, homely spot. The location is excellent, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Just a heads-up for travelers with big bags or mobility issues: the stairs are very steep and narrow. If that’s not a concern, then it’s no problem at all.
The room was comfortable and clean, though a bit low, but it was very affordable for the price. It's close to Haseda Temple and the Great Buddha, but there's nothing around after 5 PM.
