This is the only hostel I’ve stay in Japan, but this is one of the best I’ve stayed during my international travels. I had a private room on the second floor, convenient to laundry and eating area. Despite being directly under the trains, I found it quiet. Yes, you can hear the trains, but they don’t seem to run all night. I slept great, didn’t even need the ear plugs they provided at check in. Staff was helpful and cheerful to this weary traveler. I’d stay here again. Great location.

I've stayed at this hostel twice now, most recently I stayed here for 2 weeks and had an absolutely wonderful time! The people that work in this hostel are absolutely wonderful –always so friendly and welcoming! ☺️

Location: it's honestly amazing! It's so easily reachable from both Haneda and Narita airport because it's close to 2 different stations! I pushed my suitcase all the way to the hostel with no problem at all! It's right near Tokyo Skytree and the Solamachi mall. It's also walkable distance from Asakusa (I absolutely love the walk). I think it's also good to mention that there's a convenience store RIGHT NEXT to the hostel, which is super convenient!

The room & facilities: I stayed in the all female dorm & honestly, I don't have any complaints! I love that I could close the curtains around my bed which created a nice little cocoon of privacy! There is also definitely enough space to spread out your belongings. The showers had good pressure and I love that it's separate shower rooms. Toilets were always clean. The kitchen and laundry area were also pretty nice!

As for the noise from the train, yes you can hear/feel the vibrations and the noise sometimes, but I wouldn't say that it's bothersome. Of course this depends on the person, but I slept so well during my whole stay!

I've been back here before and I will come back here again! Definitely one of my favorite hostels around! Personally, I highly recommend this place! 😌✨

I’ve stayed in many hostels across Tokyo, this by far has been the most enjoyable. Great location and outstanding multi-lingual staff.

The chicken curry is SUPREME! Be sure to order it if it’s on the menu…

Definitely my new go-to hostel whenever I touch down in Tokyo!

I booked this hostel for four nights, the first night, I encountered an unpleasant incident (my roommate told me that the woman seemed to have lost a phone or tablet). Around 2:30 AM, a woman barged into our room, repeatedly saying she would call the police. She also pulled open all the bed curtains. We were all woken up. Some people got up and stood on the floor, looking bewildered. Afterwards, a man who looked like he was wearing a work badge (the receptionist didn't know him) came in and stayed for about ten or twenty minutes before leaving. When I returned to my room tonight, I found the upper bunk empty. My lower bunk was too low, almost touching the ground, and sleeping on it hurt my back. So I went to the front desk to ask to move to an upper bunk, but the receptionist said there were no upper bunks available in my current room, and I would have to move to another room and pay 500 cleaning fee, so I didn't move. I asked about what happened last night, but all the staff knew nothing about it. One female staff member said it was because they didn't move me to an upper bunk, and even said I was making up a story. I asked her to check the security footage. Another female staff said it was a multi-person dormitory, and anything could happen. She asked me what I wanted, implying that because they hadn't changed my bed for free, I was just causing them trouble. Four or five staff members completely ignored this unpleasant situation, even joking about it and laughing it off. I was speechless.

I stayed here for almost two weeks and absolutely loved everything about this place and its surroundings. I even pushed my luggage all the way on a flat surface from Oshiage Skytree Station and took the Keisei Sky Access straight to Narita Terminal 1 — super convenient.

The room was wonderful. I stayed in the female dorm and there was enough space for my luggage and personal belongings. I especially loved getting a lower bed. The shower had strong water pressure and the toilets were clean and comfortable.

The people here are truly wonderful — always welcoming and smiling. As an introvert, I felt very safe and at ease. I enjoyed Tokyo so much, spending my days exploring vinyl bars and playing arcade games most of the time.

There’s a mall nearby (Tokyo Solamachi), and of course, the amazing view of Tokyo Skytree both day and night is a huge bonus. A FamilyMart is just a few steps away from the hostel, which was incredibly convenient — especially when I checked out early at 6am and managed to grab a quick bite before heading to the airport.

I will definitely come back and stay here again for sure. Highly recommended! 1409 checking out, peace and love! 🤙

It is a relatively clean and sanitary hostel. However, there is no toilet or bathroom in the room. You need to use the public one. However, it is separate for men and women. The overall facilities are relatively clean.
The room is close to the road. There are motorcycles on the street at night. It is a bit far from the subway station. It is not very convenient to drag a suitcase. But the price is relatively affordable. There is no problem with the room. It is worth considering if you have a limited budget. Overall it is not bad
You can see the Tokyo Skytree from outside the hostel. The night view is nice.

Stayed here for 2 nights after landing into Tokyo. It’s a friendly and clean hostel with great facilities! It’s slightly out of the centre, but easy enough to travel to via the metro and underground! It is under a train line that runs from 5am to 10pm so do expect some shaking and noise!

A great hostel at an amazing location. 2 train stations are within 10 mins walking distance to reach any part of Tokyo. Its very clean n safe, comfy bed, small but useful locker near the bed, toilets and showers were clean as well. They serve liquor, some food n coffee in the lobby/reception and there is also an outdoor sitting area with tables & benches n fake grass sitting. The laundry and well quipped kitchen are 1 level up with tables n stools for guests to sit and eat. Skytree, supermarkets, convini stores, restaurants, cafes were all within short walking distance. I stayed here for 11 nights, met quite a few nice people and all the staff were really amazing and so helpful...made my stay here truly wonderful. I loved it and will definitely stay here again.

In the largest agglomeration of people in the world, such as the Tokyo metropolitan area, staying in a reasonably central location has a cost, which can only be avoided by atypical solutions. Like those of capsule hotels; or like that of this hostel, which doesn't have the true characteristics of a capsule hotel but somehow reminds one. Overnight stays are in fact ensured in bunks, in multiple rooms. Curtains on all sides of the bunk ensure privacy, and access to the upper bunks is easy via rather comfortable stairs (instead of ladders). Each bunk is equipped with a locker, and has its own lighting. In the hot Tokyo summer, well-being is ensured by efficient air conditioning. The hostel was built under the viaduct of an urban railway, for this reason upon arrival you are provided, in addition to a kit of bath towels, also with rubber earplugs. But I didn’t find the noise of the trains particularly annoying (so I didn’t use earplugs), anyway in the middle of the night the trains don’t run. The hostel has limited but pleasant common areas. For breakfast we chose the very close (a dozen steps) convenience store, which also has a space to sit and eat such breakfast. Less than 300 meters away is the “Honjo-azumabashi” subway station, from which some trains go directly to the airports (both Haneda and Narita). In essence, this is in my opinion a viable solution for a stay in Tokyo downtown at a low price.

It's great to be able to book a hotel like this at this price next to Sensoji Temple in Japan.
