Hakonehostel1914 in Hakone

Very cozy youth hostel, the proprietress is very nice and gentle!!! The house is not big but very clean and tidy, the windows are big and bright, looking out through the windows is like a painting! The proprietress also prepared a map centered on the youth hostel, with the routes and times of various attractions marked, and helped to book hot springs and restaurants, which is simply great!!! The beds in the youth hostel are very big and comfortable to sleep on, the lower bunk has a door and the upper bunk has a curtain, and the proprietress will remind you that it is rest time at 10 o'clock in the evening. When I stayed in the room, other people were very quiet, and everyone was of high quality. It was also safe and reassuring for girls to come alone. There is also a kitchen in the living room for use. I will choose to stay here again if I have the chance to come to Hakone next time❤️❤️❤️

The location is easy to find, just opposite the famous Hotel Fujiya. Get off at Miyanoshita Station and it's not far away, or take the bus to Miyanoshita Onsen.
The administrator is super nice! He will recommend you a route and ask if you want to go to the hot springs. He will also tell you what activities are happening in Hakone recently.
The hostel is a room with four beds. The location is first come first served.
If you go to the hot springs, you don't have to take a bath in the hostel. The administrator will help you make an appointment! I highly recommend taking a hot spring bath! It seems that there are natural hot springs on the mountains of Hakone. It's too hot in summer and you can't stay in it for long. Please come in winter!

A very pleasant stay!
The location is great. Next to the bus station, there are many buses. Whether you go to Odawara or Gora, it is the only way to go.
The service is very good. The landlady can speak English and introduces restaurants and hot springs to us very kindly. She also enthusiastically helps us make reservations by phone and does her best to help guests.
The environment is very clean, the beds are tidy, the shared bathroom and kitchen are also very clean, and there are some free hot drinks

Had a lovely stay! Great budget option that’s connected really well to all the nearby sights. Clean and has all the basic amenities. A couple of Onsen nearby and the owner can help you reserve etc. Kana-san, the owner, is incredibly friendly and so so helpful! Thank you!

Cheapest option to stay overnight in the touristy area of Hakone. Good connections to all the public transport in the area!
Very friendly owner who explained a lot and even booked a private onsen for us in the evening (amazing experience!).
We booked the dormitory bed, but as there was nobody else sleeping there, we had a private room. Facilities a good, including a kitchen for self-service.
100% recommended!

This is the cleanest, most comfortable place ever! The owner is beyond helpful and is so diligent.
I can’t wait to come back.
