The slippers weren't cleaned, and many pairs smelled a bit, so I recommend bringing your own. Hair dryers were a bit hard to find, and they were shared, not one per room. Everything else was fine; the rooms and bathrooms were clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and there was no light at night.

Calling it an old folk house sounds nice, but it is indeed an old building. There were only two other guests, myself and one other person, so it was very quiet and comfortable.
The bed was very hard and reminded me of my hometown.
Everything felt nostalgic, and I was able to sleep soundly and comfortably, but younger people might not find it relaxing.
Only a single sliding door separates it from the hallway, so if there are other people there, you can hear them all.
There are only two showers for the number of people it can accommodate, so I think it's an inn where you need to choose the right time to use it.
I think it's great when it's empty.

From the tram station, we walked through a quiet residential area. It was not too far, but Google navigation was not very accurate. It was a house with local characteristics and affordable. Because it was a wooden house, the sound insulation was not very good, but everyone was relatively quiet at night.

The location is secluded and difficult to find. It is recommended not to drive there. There are a few parking lots nearby but the alleys are narrow. Check in by yourself and other customers explain how to check in (?)

This place was awesome. It was my first time in Japan and this was the first place me and my buddy stayed. The owner was a very nice lady who spoke a little bit of English. Even though the caretaker didn't really speak any English, and we hardly spoke any Japanese, he helped us out a lot as well; showing us how to get to different places and bringing us food. The train station is just a short walk away with a whole plethora of places to eat and shop. My friend and I cancelled a reservation at another hotel so we could stay here longer. If you want a really simple place to stay with new guest to meet everyday than this is the place for you.
