I really enjoyed this experience and would definitely stay again for the odd night for extremely cheap accommodation. It was unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before. It was well located. The price also included food (Curry, rice, noodles) and hot and cold (soft) drinks and if you can read Japanese a whole library of Manga books. You had everything you could need including spare hair brushes in the bathroom. The capsule didn't feel at all claustrophobic to me and everyone in the dorm was very quiet and respectful. No English was spoken at the front desk, but they were expert at using Google translate, so it was all very easy. I would definitely recommend it for an authentic Japanese experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel was very clean, and the location was super convenient.

The location is super convenient, with lots of restaurants nearby. The capsule experience was quite novel. Sleeping was just okay; you'll definitely need earplugs. It felt a bit stuffy. The shower facilities were good, and they even offer free curry rice for both breakfast and dinner.

good services from female employee and small tv, I'm happy to have a glass coffee everyday. pity they don't have bigger luggage storage

The accommodation has a great location, close to Ueno station (less than 500 meters). There's a 7-Eleven right next to the building, which you can access through from within the building. There are many restaurants nearby, and it's close to Ameyoko Market, a lively area. I personally chose the capsule room. The capsule space is just right, not too big or too small, unless you're a large person. I requested a lower bunk but got an upper bunk, possibly because the lower bunk rooms were full on the day I checked in. The capsule has one power outlet and a small TV. The staff can communicate in English reasonably well. On the day of check-in, the staff couldn't find my booking and took quite a while to search, including the time they spent recommending the accommodation, totaling almost an hour. Some staff members were lovely, while others lacked service-mindedness. Most of the staff seemed to be part-time, rotating shifts. Amenities are complete, including shampoo, soap, face wash, moisturizer, and a hairdryer. You can request a toothbrush, pajamas, and towels at the front desk. The lockers available in the capsule area are quite small and don't fit large suitcases; you have to leave them at the front desk, which is inconvenient for packing on the day of departure. The dining area offers unlimited free curry rice, which tastes decent. There's a QR code to scan for one free drink per day. The tables and chairs in the dining area often have food stains, and people frequently fall asleep there. The accommodation provides free comics and magazines to read, and there's a shared bathtub downstairs (which I didn't use). If you're not a teenager, working professional, or foreigner, you'll often see older people staying here. Overall, it's acceptable for the inexpensive price, convenient location, complete amenities, and free curry rice.

Honestly it's really normal, same price you can find a better choice.
The front desk looks busy all the time and they didn't give me any clothes (that they ask all the customers need to wear) and towels (in a bag).
Most of device makes me confused, fortunately, the people who lived with me helped me. And the shower you need to push it almost all the time.
When I check out | asked the front desk Is it possible to store my luggage, and they refused.
Well at least, the food is good and the bed is clean.
Not that bad, but I'm not gonna highly recommended.

The cleaning was always on point, and the capsules were comfortable, though the air conditioning was constantly running, making it a bit cold. The front desk staff who assisted me didn't speak much English, but they quickly used a translator to ensure I understood everything. There's a 7-Eleven on the first floor and a lounge where you can read complimentary manga (if you can read Japanese) or even bring your laptop. The lounge offers shared tables or individual booths. They have free rice and coffee. Laundry facilities are available for a fee. The bathrooms were always clean. It's a 5-minute walk from the GINZA line and a bit further to the YAMAMOTO line, making it extremely well-connected. Within a minute's walk, you'll find an area bustling with shops and restaurants, which is quite lively all day long, but no noise is audible from inside.

The location is good near many metro stations.

I recommend confirming with the staff for a lower bunk when you check in, as the upper bunk capsules can be a bit challenging to climb into. On the second floor, you'll find a wide variety of manga, magazines, newspapers, and novels, plus complimentary curry is also served. Upon check-in, you'll receive a drink voucher that can be redeemed on the second floor. Overall, it's quite a good experience. Just be aware of the specific spot where you need to change into slippers.

Tiny guest room as described in the website. We stayed in a twin bed room. Hotel is overall old and old-fashioned. But location is very convenient, only 3 minutes walk from Ueno train station. Breakfast was included in room rate which was quite good. Service was good.
