HOTEL WBF GRANDE HAKATA in Fukuoka

I'm writing this review specifically for Chinese-speaking friends who might consider booking this hotel in the future, to help them avoid a potentially bad experience.

1. While there are front desk staff, none of them respond to requests for check-in, luggage storage, general inquiries, or check-out. You'll need to figure out how to use the self-service machine at the front desk on your own, as you won't get any guidance. The staff are too busy chatting and laughing among themselves. It's essentially an unstaffed hotel. They are completely impolite, cold, and give off an unfriendly vibe.

2. Luggage storage consists of just two rows of shelves at the entrance. You place your bags there, and anyone can take them. There's no supervision, and the hotel takes no responsibility if your belongings are lost.

3. Upon checking in, I found leftover green tea from the previous guest in the refrigerator. The table had cobwebs and dust.

4. It's more than a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, so those who aren't keen on walking should reconsider.

5. The hotel is a renovated old open-air apartment building. Very few rooms face outward; all the rest have views directly into the neighboring building when you open the window.

6. The so-called 'large public bath' on the top floor is just a small pool room, less than 15 square meters, with only 4 shower seats. For both nights of my stay, from 6-10 PM, it was packed with Korean aunties hogging the seats. They were brushing their teeth and washing clothes in there, throwing toothbrushes around, and the changing area floor was covered in hair and dirty water, with no one cleaning it up. The environment was incredibly dirty, messy, and disgusting!

7. I recommend checking Google reviews before booking. I only looked at Ctrip reviews at the time, but this hotel has a Google rating of 3.8 stars.

Nothing ruins a morning faster than opening your eyes and seeing a cockroach. Deeply disappointing.
