Eiwa Place Hotel Hakata in Fukuoka

This is my first time staying at japan. At first i saw a review and quite concerned about this place. Turns out this place is surprisingly decent and amazing!

Room size is perfect for one and big enough for two people. Clean and quiet. Even tho it’s a bit far from the center but the bus takes only 10 - 15 mins.

And good AC as well. This hotel is lovely, genuinely. Yes it lacks some frills with only one washing machine that doesn't work very well and no staff on site and really slow WiFi... But otherwise its great. I'm really enjoying my time here, finally getting some decent sleep on my holiday and I have this room to thank.

As an unmanned hotel there's no staff to speak of, but everything I needed was supplied in the room. When it comes to these new unmanned hotels in Japan, they all seem to work the same way. You can check in ahead of time once emailed then you have a QR code which makes it easier to check in on the tablet upon your arrival. Less faffing about typing away on the tablet and such, do it earlier on your phone or PC.

In any case, peaceful area, lovely room, nice vending machine. Washing machine not so effective at drying, as most seem to be here in Japan. So, prepare a lot of extra 100 yen coins for that.

I was a little scared looking at all the bad reviews, but this hotel was honestly not bad at all.
The rooms are clean, the shower is nice, they got extra amenities and the location is honestly GREAT - you can reach the city and Hakata station in 30min, by foot.
The staff was nice and the check-in/check out really easy and quick.
The only thing I noticed was that the rooms are a little cramped (if you have big luggage on you).
Other than that; great experience,
8/10 would recommend.
