It's an established hotel, but honestly, it's showing its age. The overall standard was just average. Its best feature is probably the location, as it's very close to the subway entrance. Beyond that, everything else was pretty unremarkable. Conveniently, there's a convenience store and a supermarket right downstairs, which is handy for shopping.

Very clean, quiet and conveniently located. This is the most spacious hotel room I have ever seen in Japan. Highly recommend for all families to stay!

Fantastic! While it's an older hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained, and the service is excellent! The location is absolutely superb – just a 3-minute walk from the subway station exit. The room was quite spacious, equipped with an air purifier and a fridge. They replenished drip coffee, mineral water, and toiletries daily, and there were convenient USB ports by the bed. Coming back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing was incredibly refreshing! I had planned to try out the hotel spa on my last day, but unfortunately ran out of time. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip! A special shout-out to housekeeping for folding my pajamas and even arranging my little bear every day – such a lovely and thoughtful touch! ദ്ദി（• ˕ •マ.ᐟ

This is a well-established, full-service hotel, clearly equipped to handle large groups and events. What truly impressed me, and was a pleasant surprise, was the availability of Chinese-speaking front desk staff and laundry facilities (washer and dryer). The room size was also remarkably spacious. Its location couldn't be better – right next to a subway exit, and just one stop from Tenjin. Plus, there are drugstores and supermarkets directly downstairs, and you can easily walk to trendy cafes in Yakuin. Highly recommended!

This is an established five-star hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's very clean, and the service is generally satisfactory. They even have a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk. The ground floor restaurant offers a good dinner, but the buffet breakfast selection is quite limited. It was identical for all three days of our stay, which made it feel like poor value for money.

Very pleasant stay with my young son and husband here. Very helpful and polite staff. Tidy and neat room service. Massage chair in room which was to my surprise. Convenient location next to subway station. Value for money! Thanks you for all the hardworking staff and the great management in this hostel which gave us a very enjoyable stay here.

Had multiple bookings for my family in this hotel. Really glad that they accommodated all of our needs. Location is great. Just a few steps away from Watanabe Train Station, bus station and a Family Mart. Location is also walkable to Hakata and Tenjin Stations. Lots of supermarkets nearby and a fish market is at the back area of the hotel. Rooms are relatively clean. Just some dust on the door frames and ceiling. They’re also pretty big in size but have slightly outdated furniture and a bit dim. Beds are comfy and comfortable. Will recommend this hotel if on a budget.

This is my first time to Fukuoka, when we planned our stay, we have a budget in mind but also looking for some space given our age (over sixty) and size. The New Otani is a pleasure surprise for us. We had a standard room with 2 beds and it comes with a writing desk and a sofa where we can sit back and relax after a day touring around the city. Service was good, the only shortfall is with communication. I will give them a perfect 5 if their staff can speak more fluent English.
