ANA Crowne Plaza, an IHG Hotel

The room was clean and neat.

After reading some of the reviews, I was initially worried the hotel's facilities would be quite poor and that it wouldn't be great overall. However, once I actually arrived, I realized you really shouldn't get too fixated on negative online comments. There were at least 10 staff members in the lobby greeting guests, a diverse team including Japanese staff. The service felt largely five-star, despite the absence of doormen, and the lobby's interior design was excellent.

I booked the smallest room, prioritizing value for money since I was only staying for two days, but it still had all the essentials. What really surprised me was the gym. I had previously emailed the staff asking about the equipment, and they only mentioned barbells and treadmills. However, when I saw it in person, I was astonished! They had so much more equipment – it felt like they were totally downplaying it! The gym space itself was also genuinely large, and I had a fantastic workout.

Finally, I must add that the young lady who greeted me at the counter during check-in on the first day was beautiful, and her greeting involved a truly authentic Japanese-style bow. In the years following the pandemic, it's become rare to see such attentive service staff in Japan. It felt like stepping back in time 19 years.

Prefect location,just a short walk (3 minutes) from Hakata Station. Excellent service, front desk check in is quick , club lounge staff very helpful. If the hotel have a swimming pool will be nice .

Unlike some other reviews mentioning poor service, I found the hotel's location to be absolutely fantastic, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The rooms are also quite spacious, especially for a Japanese hotel.

Stepping out of the lobby, if you turn right and cross the main road, about 50-60 meters down, you'll find bus stops for routes 300, 301, and 44. A quick 4-5 stop ride will take you directly to the Tenjin shopping district. Don Quijote and Bic Camera are also within very easy walking distance. If you prefer to walk to Canal City Hakata instead of taking the bus, just turn right out of the main entrance, and navigation will get you there in about ten minutes. Turning left out of the lobby entrance, a 200-300 meter walk brings you to Hakata Underground City and the Hakata City complex (which includes Kitte, where you can easily spend a whole day shopping). The Airport Line subway station is also conveniently accessible from the basement level of the complex. Essentially, Fukuoka is a city made for shopping and dining, and this location is perfect for it.

The hotel itself is a well-established brand, and I even saw airline crew members staying there, which suggests its reliability. Consequently, most of the front desk staff speak English well enough for basic communication, which was a huge plus. Any time we needed something for the room, a quick phone call guaranteed staff would be at our door within five minutes – truly exceptional service.

I didn't have the breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

Overall, the ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka will absolutely be my top choice the next time I visit Fukuoka!

Rooms with king beds come in two layouts, but the actual floor area is identical; the only difference is the bed's orientation. The bathroom is quite small, and due to the confined space, a slight odor tends to linger after using the toilet. The Executive Lounge offers a decent breakfast, enough to tide you over. However, both the afternoon tea and happy hour selections are quite basic, though it's still a fine spot to grab a drink. The service was excellent, and the room's cleanliness was impeccable.

Fantastic location, just a 3-minute walk from Hakata Station! Plus, it's only a 2-minute walk to the popular Dacomecca bakery, making it ideal for grabbing breakfast.

Just infront of Hakata station, room is big, breakfast excellent, service is good. Value for money and highly recommended.

It is very good at free for mini bar and parking this time. The room is clean. Hotel is very near HAKATA station. Hotel breakfast has a delicious mentaiko.
