Heiwadai Hotel Otemon in Fukuoka

Nice breakfast preparation,some hotel staff is not friendly.

This accommodation offers incredible value for money! It's an older Japanese-style hotel. First, let's talk about the room. The price is very affordable compared to hotels in Tenjin and Hakata, and the room size is quite large for Japan. The tatami mat area can sleep two people, and there's also a double bed, so it's more than enough space for three guests. You can spread out your belongings on the tatami. There are extra linens in the cupboard. Next, for transportation, you get off at Ohori Park Station on the K Airport Line. It's an easy five to six-minute walk. We bought a one-day subway pass, and it paid for itself with just two rides a day. Living next to the park means the environment is excellent – quiet and natural. We could stroll through Maizuru Park and Ohori Park anytime, enjoying the ginkgo and maple leaves daily. Every day, the walk to the subway station offered the most natural and beautiful scenery. Finally, let's discuss the food. This place includes breakfast, and the rice balls 🍙 are delicious, wrapped in huge bamboo shoot husks. Coffee is free 🆓 during breakfast and check-in times, with various coffee drinks available, making you feel right at home. Everything was great. It's perfect for budget-conscious travelers. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing is a bit lacking.

Stayed one night at Heiwadai Hotel Otemon. The room was on the smaller side, but the location is good — right across from Ohori Park and within walking distance of the subway. Breakfast was simple but good, a nice touch to start the day. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay for a short visit.

Clean room, friendly staff, just a bit hard for us the mattress but overall, amazing! Good location!

Decent place, beautiful location. Breakfast is very nice. There is a small Chinese style supermarket nearby with great prices

🛌 The room is old and small, especially the bathroom, as described on the website, but it is clean. Check-in time is very strict, but if you arrive early, you can leave your luggage at the hotel. Additionally, they offer complimentary breakfast, and there is a microwave available in the reception area.

🛍️ The hotel's location is convenient. It is about a 10-minute walk to nearby subway stations, Ohori Park (Fukuoka Art Museum), and Akasaka. There is also a bus stop nearby with several routes to Hakata. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance of Tenjin.

🍱 Behind the hotel, there is a 7-Eleven, which is really convenient, as well as a Toyota Rent A Car, perfect for starting a trip around Kyushu. 🚙💨

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a comfortable stay. Location is relatively near to Bus, train station and sightseeing spots.
Breakfast is delicious. Clean rooms and toiletries are provided.
Staff are courteous and kind.

I would love to stay here again when I come back to Fukuoka.

Although the room was a bit small, it was quite comfortable. The location is near two of the city's main attractions, and the breakfast was very stylish, especially the rice balls wrapped in giant bamboo leaves, which were a real highlight.
