Fukuoka, 2 Chome-52-1 Hakozaki, Higashi Ward (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
Good hotel and friendly staff. Onsen available each day from sunset time to midnight. Slightly away from city centre but with convenient and quick access!
I like the service and breakfast. However, the bathroom in the room is small and the facilities are old. The window in the room doesn't open, even though I wanted to. I tried to force it open, but it was hard. Other than that, I'm generally satisfied.
I stayed here for two nights during the Fukuoka Dome concert. I left Haneda at night and left the airport after 10:30pm. It said that check-in was until 11pm, so I called the hotel and they told me that I could check in until midnight, and that there was a side entrance after that. The location is about 15-20 minutes by train from Fukuoka Airport (with one transfer), and about the same from PayPay...
The room price is not expensive and the hotel facilities are generally a bit like an older hotel.
The best thing is that the surrounding area is not crowded. It's quiet and everything is nearby. There is a super cheap supermarket, Don Quijote, Sushiro, and Yume Town a little further away. The hotel's facilities are a bit old, but if you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel that's not crowded, this is the best. There is a subway 5 minutes away, so access to the city is easy.
I felt like it was a little old. The staff's response is good. I don't know about the food because I haven't eaten it. The environment around the hotel is good.

Spa facilities: Sauna, SPA, Massage
I only used it as a drop-in bath, so I don't know about the guest rooms, but the hot spring was lukewarm and not very warm. There was no sauna, and it was cold even though it was March. I think that's enough.
I dropped in and enjoyed the hot spring. The building feels a little old, but the hot spring was great. The warm water contains three elements: sulfur, alkali, and carbon dioxide, so you can soak in it for a long time. The water was great.
The beauty-enhancing hot spring water felt so good that I ended up soaking in it four times. The food was very stylish, delicious, and just the right amount. And best of all, all the staff were very friendly! The building may seem old, but it's kept clean and has a playful feel, so I had a really enjoyable time. It's a shame that the weather was bad and we couldn't enjoy the garden or rooftop, but...
A hotel worth staying at again
The bath and the staff were very nice. The kids seemed to enjoy it. There was a lot of dust on the table and the ventilation fan in the room, which bothered me.
I visited for the first time in a day trip bath this time, but I think it's a good hot spring. When I open the door of the men's bath, I feel the smell of sulfur. Take off your clothes and take a bath. First of all, I washed my body cleanly and entered from the open-air bath, which was lukewarm but felt good. It's lukewarm, so I'll put it in for a long time. It feels like it's sticking to your body...

Fukuoka, 4 Chome-8-15 Tenjin, Chuo Ward (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Spa facilities: Massage, Spa and wellness centre
The location is super convenient, near Tenjin. It's only a few minutes' walk to the underground shopping street, making everything easily accessible. The room key was a bit old-fashioned, a physical key that you had to leave at the front desk every time you went out. As for hygiene, they don't clean the room daily if you stay multiple nights, but they do change towels and empty the trash, which is...
I stayed in a single room with a bathtub. I chose this hotel because it seemed conveniently located on the map, and it was great that I could walk to the Tenjin downtown area and easily choose from various public transportation options. The reception staff were all friendly and very helpful with any requests. There were a couple of convenience stores nearby and good restaurants, so I didn't use the...
Nice room, classic types of hotel! Interesting that they still provide keys for rooms. Everything is good, with nice locations almost close enough to everything.
Very nice hotel. Room was nice, bed pillows were comfortable. Would recommend
It's old, but it was very clean. The only downside is that the bathtub drains very slowly, and water accumulates while you're showering.
Overall, the hotel was quite good; it truly lived up to its name as a palace hotel. Cleanliness and tidiness, as well as the breakfast, were decent. However, hygiene needs improvement. On my first day, I noticed: 1. Hair from the previous guest was still on the bathroom wall, inexplicably not cleaned properly. It remained there until I checked out. 2. The toilet paper roll was only partially used....

Fukuoka, 203-1 Hakishiwa (43 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Spa facilities: Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
1. It's located in a remote area and high up in the mountains, making it difficult to access without a shuttle or rental car. 2. Perhaps due to a lack of staff, there are many Nepalese staff. Overall, the staff are friendly. The Japanese female staff at the restaurant, who tries to speak a little Korean, is also very helpful. 3. The in-room baths are not kakenagashi-style hot springs, but rather...
We stayed in the special Japanese-style room with a panoramic view of Chikugo Plain. The room and the hotel in general seem old but the view is amazing. The open-air onsen was beautiful but with only 4 spots for showering, it could easily get crowded. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying with just the right quantity of food. Special mention for the gentleman who served us at dinner - very polite...
The location is on the mountain, quite remote, but close to Daguanyin. But the view is nice. If you choose a private hot spring room. The landscaping is very nice. However, all options include two meals. Somewhat restricted. It would be nice if there was an option to stay overnight. The outdoor and indoor public hot springs are completely separate. For outdoor use, you need to go out of the hotel and...
A classic Japanese Hotel with good service. High private dinning area (individual dinning area for each family). Big room. It is located top on the hill. 190。Wonderful view from the hotel.
The environment feels special on the mountain, the service attitude is very good, and the food ranks are very delicate
Thanks to its location: on top of the hill with breathtaking panoramas, all minor disadvantages just slip away. Pros: River valley views; Authentic "Rotenburo" - open air bath; Room service and of meals. Cons: Free WiFi limited availability - at the lobby only; Early checkout time - 10AM. Everything else is just amazing.
