Villa Kunisaki, Nagasaki1 / 30
9.0
Nagasaki, 3204-1 Kunisaki-machi (30 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed with my family. The atmosphere of the inn, the quality of the hot springs, and the food were all excellent. There were several foreign staff members, some very nice and some who seemed a little unfamiliar. I stayed in a room for 19,800 yen, and although it was old, that was part of the inn's charm. The toilet and sink were new and well-cleaned, so I felt at home. The room with the hot spring...
Although it is a very international inn with foreign staff working there, the hospitality was extremely Japanese and excellent. The food was also excellent, and I was especially impressed by the baths, especially the cypress bath. It was truly soothing. The quality of the water is also among the top three of any hot spring I have ever been to. The rooms have been renovated and are very clean. If I...
Excellent Ryokan with a variety of private onsen rooms, great for couples and big families. The breakfast was great, too. Recommended!
I loved every minute of my stay at this beautiful place. All run by ladies. few great small onsens that you can use privately with your family. Very unique and beautiful.
Beautiful place. Very cute decoration and great atmosphere 💯 Best Onsen experience🩷🩷🩷

Nagasaki Hotel Ihokan, Nagasaki1 / 24

Nagasaki, 2-1 Chikugomachi, 850-0052 Nagasaki, Prefektura Nagasaki, Yaponiya (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
I was in Nagasaki for work and stayed overnight at Ihokan. My car was too tall to fit in the parking lot, so I had to use the nearby paid parking lot. The exterior of the building exudes a sense of antiquity. Inside, I spotted a large pendulum clock. I received my room key at the front desk and used the elevator right next door. The door to my room required inserting and turning the key while pushing...
Old? It's certainly old, but to put it another way, it's "nostalgic." The bath isn't huge, but there's a large public bath. The breakfast set is substantial. Above all, the staff are incredibly kind. That's extremely important. When I called to confirm my reservation, the service was fantastic. "Thank you for choosing us even though we don't have Wi-Fi," said the charming old man. This is Japan. You...
We stayed here during the Omura Fireworks Festival, the Penguin Aquarium, and our trip to Umi Kirara! The building and rooms are old, but they're kept clean. 😊 And best of all, it comes with a large public bath for this price. We enjoyed it as if we were in a private bath with our kids! We didn't have dinner, but the breakfast was also very satisfying. The service was also very good, and it was a fun...
A good hotel with no points to point out except in a small place.
I stayed for 2 nights from 30th. I was not expecting it, but I was surprised at the meal on the day and was impressed with the meal on 31st and the meal on New Year's Day. This is also a worry for the staff ❣️ This is an old building, but I highly recommend it. Suica will be available from this year. Tram 130 yen everywhere ❤️
It’s old but it has everything you need. The breakfast was very delicious! They give you yukata, tea, and a bath house on 5th floor.

Obama Onsen Ryokan Yunoka, Nagasaki1 / 16
8.4
Nagasaki, Kitahonmachi Obamacho 905-26 (30 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Private rooftop onsen for just ¥1,000—what a steal! Best for 1–2 people (three would be too tight). Time it for sunset. Friendly staff got me in immediately. Parking on both sides of the building.
I stayed here about three months ago. Unfortunately, it rained that day, so I missed out on seeing Obama's famous sunset, but the hot springs and food were fantastic, and above all, the hospitality and consideration of the staff far exceeded my expectations, making it an unforgettable night. In addition to Obama, I also stayed in Kurokawa Onsen and Beppu, but my experience at this ryokan was the most...
It feels like the whole of Kohama is steaming on the hot springs. It's really hot in the summer. The hotel is very small and old. The rooms are so small that they only have tatami mats and toilets. The corridors are like ovens. If you live on the fourth floor, there is a hot spring pool upstairs. The equipment is very noisy one night. Big, I didn’t have a good night’s rest
If you're hesitating, I'd say don't hesitate. It was a truly wonderful experience. All the staff were very friendly and kind, and the facilities, while old-fashioned, were well-maintained, which was actually nice. The rooms were tatami rooms, which retained a vintage feel, and the direct ocean view was wonderful. The onsen on the first floor was also nice, but the onsen on the fifth floor rooftop was...
After staying for two days, the meals were very rich, and the two breakfasts also had slight changes. The accommodation comes with the most basic fish sashimi set meal. I wanted to eat it🦀, so I added about 9
Their rooftop onsen has a good view of the sea.. rooms also face the sea… the food is great and wide variety… only setback is the pillars on the rooms are quite low.. if you are tall above 180cm need to be careful when going to the balcony.

Repeat stay. Everything was fine other than checking in. The iPad / system couldn’t locate our booking initially and it was eventually found by searching using name. There is coin parking on premise, and also opposite. If both are full, there are more carparks down the road.
I think it's fine except at check-in.
Super clean hotel! Located just minutes from the Main Nagasaki train station. Parking isn't free, but affordable compared to the other lots near the area. Hotel has a washing machine, and the toilet has a heating option for you to dry your clothes. Overall an amazing stay!
Clean and spacious, great bathroom. Check-in by tablet was a bit impersonal but efficient. We enjoyed our two nights here. Don't count on the hotel's parking, but there are plenty of other paid parking lots nearby, so it's not a problem.
Located a 12-13 minute walk from Nagasaki Station. It was unmanned, so checking in was a bit difficult. The room was clean, but there was a slight body odor around the sofa. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
Have to pay more attention on the check in procedure, other things are perfect, room is spacious and comfortable.

Although it was an old inn, the cleaning was very thorough, and the hot springs were also kept clean. I was very satisfied with the accommodation for the price.
We had a great time relaxing as a family ^_^ The hot spring smelled nostalgic, bringing back memories of going to the hot springs early in the morning with my grandma when I was little ^_^
I stayed with my family, and they carefully taught me how to make steamed dishes, where to find fishmongers and grocery stores, and more. Also, the hot springs left my skin feeling silky smooth. I could hear the sounds of a party next door, but I was able to sleep. It was a fun experience.
An interesting clean guest house. Very conveniently located, right next to the local bus station. You can see it right away even without a map). By the way, I'll mention that there are very kind women working at the bus station. The room is clean, spacious, with a sink and toilet. There is no shower or bath. For some reason, the sink only has cold water. The futon is quite thick and comfortable,...
It was cheap, convenient and the bathroom was nice.

The facility is a little old, but the service is good and the view of Nagasaki city is spectacular.
Place was great for a traditional Japanese experience. Some instructions in English for when to wear the shoes and robes, and how to put the beds together would be helpful.
10. This is an old hotel with a full sense of history. It is suitable for a two-day retreat. Because the hotel is on the mountain, tourists can hardly go out at night. The room design is very reasonable and you can see the panoramic view of Nagasaki.
I booked two rooms with my parents, a family of four. They were on the second and third floors. The receptionist took our passports and registered but ignored us. No one helped me move my luggage. Because there is no elevator, especially since the two elderly people are over 80 years old, they didn't ask us. They didn't greet us when they saw us in the morning, which is a downgrade in service in a...
We were a 70-year-old couple traveling together, and the best thing about it was the amazing night view. It was nice that we could see it equally from all the rooms. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were picked up and dropped off by a minibus from Nagasaki Station, which was convenient. The bath and breakfast were excellent. I would recommend this to my friends. The only thing that bothered...
The view is great. The staff is friendly. It doesn't feel fancy, but I had a good rest. The clam rice and dinner on the second day were especially great.

Difficult to get up and down the hill. They do have a shuttle though. Onsen and breakfast were great.
Excellent service and well-equipped facilities. A free shuttle is available to Nagasaki Station! A hotel executive saw us off upon departure, a heartwarming sight! Checked in on August 22, 2025. Ms. Zhou at the front desk was incredibly helpful and attentive, a commendable gesture. Thank you!
The view was amazing, and the room was spacious and clean, allowing me to relax and unwind after a long day of travel.
The night view was beautiful and the location was great! Some of the facilities were a little old, but it was clean so it didn't bother me too much. The staff were also very thoughtful and the children were happy with the complimentary ice cream after the bath.
Very old school ryokan! What an unexpected surprise! The grandfathers who drive to pick up and drop off our kids are all handsome men! The service is excellent, polite, friendly and enthusiastic... One night and two meals are unexpectedly delicious 😋 The room in the new building is very clean, and the night view is really amazing! You can also enjoy the fun of hot springs. You can see the mountain...
The room was very spacious and clean, and the view was great too. Breakfast was included and it was a buffet, which was very good. There was a wide variety of options, so it was great.

just nice but do not expect comfort and privacy since it is a guesthouse. suitable for solo traveler or who on budget trip.
I didn’t receive a code for get in at the first. But super friendly people in reception. Great location, maybe the air conditioning during the night was too strong..very cold even with pijama and Nordic blankets.
I like it, guest are generous and the place is very accessible, just a few steps and voila your there China town.,
The private space at your bed is really good to have, would stay here again if i came back to nagasaki
The room is clean and cosy, free breakfast provided. The only one thing might be challenging is there is no elevator but my bed is on fourth floor 😆
One of the best places to stay. Very chilled, quiet, nice and with amazing jam toasts in the morning. The issue for some may be that you should climb the third floor which may be a challenge with a big suitcase. Apart from that nothing serious. It is also close to Chinatown.
