This place is between Beppu Ropeway and Hells of Beppu, so plan your route properly, if not you will end up going up and down the mountains numerous times. The hotel has a coin laundry, which is helpful for travellers who need frequent clothes washing. It might seem a bit pricey to include dinner, but please include it. It was a buffet feast with lots of selection, such as snow crab, Oita wagyu beef. Service at the restaurant was superb. It's next to a convenience store and there's free parking for hotel guests.

The hotel has a great location, right across from the landmark Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) attraction, and next to a large supermarket. We stayed in a one-night stay with two meals included, and the menu was extensive and delicious – definitely worth trying. The biggest downside of the hotel is the early check-in; we had to leave by 10:00 AM, which was very rushed! Also, the onsen (hot spring) was a bit small, and it was too hot in the open air. There wasn't a proper Japanese garden; it was just the rooms and the onsen, which lacked a certain ambiance.

The room was spacious, and the mountain view was quite nice on a clear day. The drinks at the dinner buffet were very satisfying, the food selection was average, with snow crab available seasonally, although the steak was of slightly subpar quality.

The hot springs are comfortable and not crowded.
The breakfast is unique and popular with locals.
It's close to the bus stop and Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell).

Overall it's ok. There are private and public soup downstairs. The dinner is so-so, but you can drink all kinds of wine. If you like Japanese draft beer, you can't miss it.

The hotel is in the hot spring area, a 10-minute walk to Umijigoku. There is a bus stop at the door of the hotel, and the location is convenient. The internal facilities are new and clean, and the rooms are tidy. The hotel staff are also very friendly and willing to help guests. Breakfast and dinner were both plentiful and of good quality. You can have Bungo Wagyu for dinner. The staff would come over from time to time to ask if we want to order more Wagyu. We ate a lot of Wagyu. As a foodie, I recommend this hotel 10 points!
