It was great to stay here. It's clean and very silent. People are friendly only when you speak kazakh/russian. Food was good. Vegetarian options were available too. The best thing about the hostel was the availability of food, coffee, and tea all the time in the kitchen. You eat what you want to, clean the utensils (yes, you have to clean your own utensils) and you are done! The dorm room felt a little claustrophobic and extremely silent to me for 2 days. But after that the place became comfortable. There's enough space to keep your luggage too. They will provide you with the key for the space. The washroom and bathroom were clean, a little small but okayy. Overall a unique and good experience! Thanks to owners for maintaining the place quite well.

Rude staff ruined my stay.
One receptionist was extremely rude.
She snapped “I don’t speak English” in an aggressive tone, and later told me to leave while waving her hand like “get out.”
Very disrespectful and unnecessary.
She totally ruined my impression of Kazakhstan.
If you don’t speak Russian or don’t want to deal with this rude receptionist, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I just spent three nights here while I was exploring Almaty city. I booked a private room, the room has no aircon but no issue at night as it’s pretty cooling. Hostel encourages quiet mode and I enjoyed the vibe. Felt safe and slept soundly while I was here. Breakfast is served daily with different varieties. Value for money and strongly Recommend to solo female travellers. :)

This is a such lovely hostel, very friendly and service oriented personnel, clean facilities and really good breakfast. Today we got pancakes, omelette, cottage cheese, porridge, apples and salad.

This is probably the best hostel that a solo woman can book. It's a very safe space and spotless. The capsules give you privacy and your own space and the lockers are big. There are 4 toilets and 4 showers. I feel like there can be more toilets but I've never had to wait either.
The breakfast is scrumptious and lavish. Loads to eat and it's very healthy and tasty. Location is good too, there's a bus stop in walking distance and I even went to shymbulak by bus.
There are loads of restaurants and convenience stores closeby and it's in a very nice neighborhood.
The only thing I would change is the lack of proactiveness of the staff. Unfortunately for me the cutest and friendliest staff Jenny and her friend Gulzat were only available in the evening. They speak very good English and have such a good vibe, I love those girls! Unfortunately in the morning the staff is very curt, unapproachable and unhelpful. They don't speak English and offer limited help. She did help me to book a tour and to find information but she's not really friendly. The cleaning lady keeps the place absolutely spotless but not friendly either.
My advice to them is to have someone who speaks English during the day, as that's when people generally check in and if they can offer basic info like foreigners should download yandex, 2gis etc. They should also have tie ups with tour companies so we don't have to blindly search for one. And if they can offer directions for bus or metro that's additional help.
This hostel has the potential to be 10/10 if they did this. But I loved staying here and will probably go back after my trip to Tashkent.

Great nights sleep - even if a lot of people sleep in the same room it's all made to be able to relax, including encouragement to stay quiet at all times. Great breakfast and snacks available. Decent location. Lovely staff

The perfect place to stay in Almaty for the price. Great location. Clean and tidy. Very helpful and nice staff.
