Great hotel with amazing pool, sauna and gym. Food is also good and staff are very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

Twenty years ago the whole Rakhat was shining, today shines only elevator.

The room was clean and tidy, and although the facilities were a bit old, everything worked perfectly. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, spa, and other amenities, and the breakfast spread was quite extensive, though it did get a bit crowded in the mornings.

I was fotunate to book the renovated room, it was surely good, the AC is the only issue as it takes time to cool the room, also faced a small issue with the plugs next to the bed, they tend to disconnect after some time and you have to remove the card and reinstert it again, the breakfast area had a good buffet and nice seating area ( indoor and outdoor ) room service sometimes take time to attend...

It was a pleasant stay. The breakfast has a good spread amd hotel has a beautiful ambience and views.

Location was quite central with lots of supermarket and food options nearby. The room looks like it was newly renovated. The toilet has heated floors but it was small and space was very tight. We were given a late check out on our last day but it was very noisy during the day; it sounded like drilling work coming from the floor above. The buffet breakfast was quite substantial.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the breakfast is incredibly rich. It's a local landmark; you can spot both the hotel and the TV tower from the airplane. Our triple room consisted of two bedrooms, offering views of the distant snowy mountains.

An older hotel, which is not a bad thing. Breakfasts were fantastic. Our family had a negative experience with check in, cleanliness and safety in our room, and we had to address these matters with a manager. It’s obvious they need to deal with service quality when they make mistakes and get to a point where safety and customer satisfaction are priority.

First time in Almaty, and choosing this hotel really elevated my entire trip experience. First off, the front desk staff had excellent English, so communication was a breeze. Secondly, both the hot spring and breakfast far exceeded my expectations. The hotel views were also fantastic. A special shout-out to the bartender who, even though I was the only one there late at night, still made me a drink and brought me snacks. My two-day stay became even more perfect after it snowed. Everything was great, but the air conditioning and heating didn't quite cut it, making the room a bit cold.

The room quality is comparable to a budget hotel in China, quite dated. To my surprise, they didn't even provide complimentary bottled water; you either had to buy it or boil your own using the in-room kettle. The only upside was the free international power adapter provided in the room.

The front-desk service was excellent, fluent English and smooth communication. On my first day they even helped me sort out small change for a taxi and provided useful sightseeing tips. The location is convenient, with a shopping mall right across the street, and the room was clean up standard.

I extended my stay for another night, and I must commend the hotel's thoughtfulness. The breakfast was quite good, but because I'm lactose intolerant, I got diarrhea after drinking milk. Clean hotel, but dull and dark. Services are okay.

First room was smell bad of smoke even though my booking was non smoking room . They gave me other room was good after i complained. I think hotels used to give worst room who booked through trip.com . It happened in my previous trip in Bali.

1. This hotel is pretty much like a budget hotel in China – small rooms and very basic facilities. I strongly do not recommend it. 2. The room doesn't provide drinking water, and there isn't a convenience store nearby, so the only way to get water is from the dispenser in the hallway. 3. Hotels in Almaty are significantly inferior to those in China. The Ritz-Carlton's facilities are roughly equivalent to those of Atour X in China. The service is acceptable, but the breakfast is mediocre and too monotonous; it's not even in the same league as Ritz-Carlton hotels in China.

The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. This was our last stop hotel from the 5 Stans tour with Lupine Travel. This hotel is very spacious, Soviet like atmosphere with dark hardwood furniture. Water stations on every floor which was nice. It's a shame you didn't read the reviews before your trip and instead trusted the brand and the stars. The service, hospitality, and professionalism are lacking. The hotel team needs to work on improving its reputation, especially in your city.

It was -16 degrees Celsius outside, but the room was only 15 degrees and there was no underfloor heating. The room was too cold. They eventually provided a heater, but I still couldn't sleep well at night. I recommend against staying at this hotel during winter.

The next day, I checked out before 12 PM and requested a refund for that extra day, but they refused to give it.
