Hostels near Kok Tobe in Almaty

My name is Jomhey and im a solo traveler. Ive stayed for 4 days and i can say the place is totally great and safe, the staff is nice and the rooms are very clean specially the toilet and washroom and the prices is reasonably cheap. I highly recommend it to you guys and try what i experience. Have a good travel 😊

The hostel at the new address on Karmysova 82, Parasat Hostel Kazakhstan is very well located for tourists, everything is nearby, the cable car on Koktyub, buses to Medeo and Shymbulak, most importantly the beds are very large and comfortable. Fresh air, a river flows in front of the house, a quiet place, guest parking. Beautiful view of the hotel Kazakhstan

Everything is huge and cozy. Don't have A/C but don't need. And every staff and host are so kind. Everything is good. Just try.

Everything would be great if it weren't for the INTERNET!!!!! They have 2 barely working/not working Wi-Fi... And the mobile Internet reception is very bad in the building. If you are staying for a couple of days or don't work online, this probably won't be a problem for you. But I came for a couple of weeks and worked online. Every call dropped... I had to reconnect for half an hour... Go outside...

I like it very much. The location of this place is very good. Public transportation is just outside. It is very convenient to go to several core attractions. You can go to the National Museum and the Peak Cable Car Station on foot. There is a shopping mall diagonally opposite to the left. It has similar functions to Wanda. You can withdraw money for meals. Inside There is Xiaomi Honor Haier Tebu.....

What a lovely lady Lianna is. We arrived at late night at her place and there was a last minute requirement from our side which very well she managed and supported us throughout. Will surely recommend stay at Hostel Viator.

Very comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms. The host is very welcoming and gave great recommendations for restaurants in the neighbourhood. The location is a bit less central but still walkable from the city center, so we didn’t mind.

Anella helped me on arrival with a taxi driver fiasco, and Aiym helped me on the way out with the bus and other information. A lovely welcoming hostel. Slippers are provided. Beds are very comfortable so you get a good nights rest. Lots of hot water available and a kitchen available to make the essentials. The lounge area has a PS5 too. It’s close to a shopping mall with lots of outlets and a food court. And not too far a walk from the sights.

Location is very convinent. Receptionist is really helpful. Stayed there 8 days, it's neat and clean located at riverside and walking distance for few of attractions. Easy way to go Green Bazar , Cathedral church, Arbat street by bus. Overall experience is very good for solo.

Dormitory rooms in the basement didn't have a privacy curtain. The bed mattress was comfortable though. Toilets and shower rooms were quite clean. Kitchen is also available and the common area is quite small. They have a lovely cat here. Location is the best!

Good value for money. Could use a privacy curtain. Floors are clean, bed is comfortable. Toilet is decent. Some of the guests seem to be staying long term, and one guy in the picture was stealing money from the tip jar. Watch out since he’s staying in the dorm and looks like long term, he could be stealing from other guests too, this has been raised to the hostel.

Great place for both solo travellers and groups. Amazing location and community. Lots of space outside to chill, amazing cats and the river just opposite the house. Service is good, but remember that they accept only KZT.
