Nice location with a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The place was clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated.

Rooms were too small then the expect but we managed.

We stopped here just passing through after visiting the petroglyphs. The prices were almost the same as a hotel in Almaty. The room was an old shack with a fan (a good fan!). The beach and reservoir—we couldn't understand why everyone from Almaty comes here to relax, except maybe for the kids to have a fun and safe swim. The hotel is very crowded even on weekdays. The security guards won't let you in or out until you bow to them, tell them who you are and which room you're checking out of. Only after checking will they deign to let you out. It's ridiculous, it's a real "relaxation zone." On the plus side, the pool and restaurant are decent. And the garden on the grounds.

We stayed from July 26th to July 28th, 2024, for the Oceanman Kazakhstan 2024 international competition and booked this resort through Booking.com. It was terrible; we had to rent a car and drive from Almaty every day or drive our own from Astana. I'll start with:
1. The receptionist was extremely rude, handing me a list to sign without even reading it (you have to pay 8,000 tenge for even 1 liter of water and groceries);
2. We arrived right after the airport and wanted something to eat. While the room was being cleaned, we ordered pasta, and we simply couldn't eat it (it's a shame they undercooked the spaghetti);
3. The room was a complete mess, with purple, holey bed linens and stale towels. The air conditioning didn't work at all, and there were mosquitoes and flies in the rooms. 4. The breakfasts are terrible; the cafes open at 9:00 AM. We ordered pizza and tea extra, with a 10% service charge, and they explained that they were washing the dishes after us, so it was extra for the guests. After that, we took a taxi to Konaeva every time we ate.
5. When leaving, the security guard keeps asking us what room we're from, and they keep asking over the radio if we can leave. I understand if we owe money upon checkout, but that was for a three-day stay, and it was a bit annoying. Don't go to this resort; it's just a beautiful green area and that's it. The tourism and service leave much to be desired; learn how to welcome guests here in Borovoe.

This is probably the problem with all resorts that refuse to be updated. The cabins are definitely rundown. We stayed in a villa, one of the most expensive on the island compared to the suites, junior suites, and standard rooms. The walls are covered with shabby plastic, flies are flying around, mosquitoes are rare, a mouse ran by, it was awful!!! We asked at reception; they don't kill them on purpose, so they don't stink in the cabins later. They are repelled with a special device that makes noise. The air conditioners seem to be 100 years old; they can hardly be called air conditioners at all; they clicked at night and kept us from sleeping. The grounds are okay, well-maintained. We didn't go by the pool; we came to swim in the reservoir. The pool bar didn't have decent draft beer. Breakfasts were half-cold, and not enough to fill us up. The best thing is the beach, specifically the entrance, the sand, and the water. The entrance is smooth and long, perfect for children. The sand is soft and pleasant. The water is clean and clear. There's a fee to enter the beach by car, and there's a fee for sunbeds, so at least they keep it clean. Although, in my opinion, it would be more convenient for vacationers to have umbrellas and sun loungers. I'm guessing nothing will change at the resorts in Kapchegay; they're doing just fine as is: people come, bring their money, live in whatever conditions they can find, and don't complain!

My family and I stayed in a suite for 50,000 tenge.
To say we were shocked is an understatement!
Let me start by saying that the room was completely untidy upon check-in. Dust, crumbs on the table, a dirty toilet, and the icing on the cake—a plate of leftovers in the refrigerator.
There are no utensils in the room (nothing to drink from). Not to mention the lack of tea/coffee, drinking water, or toiletries. The mattress is impossible to sleep on—the springs bulge so much that by the third night you're in pain. There's no mattress pad. Over four days, the power went out twice for extended periods. The water supply was also constantly intermittent – sometimes there was no water at all, sometimes there was no hot water, sometimes there was no pressure. Sorry, but we had to fill a bottle with water to flush away traces of our daily activities, because the toilet cistern took about two hours to fill with water with such pressure.
Wi-Fi was only available at reception. "But mobile internet is good," they touted as a perk.
Flies were everywhere, and there were a lot of them. In the cafe, in the room, on the veranda. There was no place to eat comfortably. The tables in the cafe were wobbly, and the chairs were dirty. Once, while dining on the veranda, the staff decided to power wash the tiles 5 meters away.
Breakfast is included. Every day is the same: oversalted or bland porridge (rice or semolina), 1 egg, 1/4 sausage, 1/4 cucumber, 1/4 tomato, a piece of bread, and watery freeze-dried coffee. Disgraceful!
The food in the cafe is mostly fast food. A grillman only comes by on weekends; the rest of the time, we ate chicken nuggets and fries. Room service (about 100 meters away) costs 2,000 tenge, which we weren't even informed about. They charge a 10% service charge. We ordered takeout, and it was 10%. We bought two cans of beer at the bar, and we had to pay 10%. The dishes in the cafe are only occasionally clean.
On the positive side, the pool is decent, the grounds are green and well-maintained (the gardener is the only staff member who puts his heart into his work). The "Real Beach" is great, especially for kids (but it's public, not their fault, they just happened to be in a good location).
We booked for six days, but stayed four only because we liked the beach. They refunded us for two days, asking, "Is it because of the power outage?" Everyone we spoke to who stayed there was outraged and planning to leave early.
The owners of this place have decided to charge 50,000 rubles a day for this disgusting behavior because there are no alternatives near the "real beach." They lure you in with pretty pictures on Instagram, counting on turnover, because even the most unpretentious person will never return.

Rest area next to the swamp from there mosquitoes, frogs and bad smells. There are very, very many mosquitoes.
We rented a villa type room. Firstly, the room was not properly cleaned and prepared upon check-in. Everything in the room is broken and only in some places there is hot water. They constantly break something and often do not have water.
Because they have a policy that you can’t bring your own food, you can only eat in their restaurant, where prices are the same as in expensive restaurants in Almaty, but with zero service.

I do not recommend this area to anyone. The owners think only how to squeeze money from vacationers as much as possible.
I regret that I wasted my time and money on this.

One is not a big pool, a children's pool is more like a fountain. A restaurant in an overpriced area for terrible food. The waiters are very slow. There are not many rooms to choose from. If you want to relax for two, then you only have to choose a room with one and a half beds. The standard rooms are terrible. Without air conditioning. The pitchforks are in better condition, but not very comfortable for small groups. The beach is far away and it is common, ie. there will be many people. There is also no wifi in the area. Cellular communication catches only the body 2. The only thing for which two stars is an adequate administrator - Daria, thanks to her.

Nice recreation area, well-groomed area, clean beach, perfect sand on the beach. This year there are many small frogs on the territory, apparently from the neighboring swamp. The rooms are already tired in places, it would not hurt to freshen up the repair. Everything else is great. For a large company, the villa is an ideal option. The rooms have TVs and air conditioners (in the suite and the villa, I don’t know for sure, in the standard one, I have never been there), a refrigerator, a shower, a toilet, tables, chairs, a kitchen in the villa (without a hob) and an excellent and very beautiful terrace.
Recently, there is a cafe and a shop on the territory, in connection with which they began to prohibit bringing food with them. The food is good, prices are a little high.
Guarded parking, there are carts for transporting things, there is a barbecue and a koktalnitsa, a fairly large pool with sun loungers, a playground, a bonfire and music on weekends in the evening.
In general, this is a good recreation area for families.

Good afternoon. Vacationing with family. The hotel was chosen based on reviews and photos.
If you are a tourist with a requirement of at least a solid 3 stars in Europe and just want a certain level of cleanliness, comfort and service, + normal cuisine, you DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!

Let's start with the fact that the rooms do not correspond to the specified class, we were in SUITES - a little dirty, the mattresses and furniture are old, and in some places there are dirty spots, it is very difficult to sleep on the mattress because of the protruding springs.
Barely flows water from time to time - in the bathroom. Everything is a little shabby, more like a summer cottage than a hotel or recreation center with suites.
Restaurant
A separate story - tenants work there, prices are like in Almaty in Assorti, Tyubeteika or DelPapa hot from 2600 tenge + service. Fried eggs from 2 eggs - 1000 tenge, salads from 2200 tenge, and you will wait a very long time, the taste is normal, you can eat it.
There is no service - everything looks like a dining room, the trays are dirty, the waiters are young people not trained in a minimum of service and cleanliness. They take the fritters with their hands and put them on a plate, they wipe the glasses with the same incomprehensible rag that they didn’t wash with us until they wiped all the dishes. Dirt and food crumbs pour from personal napkins for table setting. The guys apologize for any comments, but this is not an option. They bring food first, then you can hardly ask for drinks, bread at the very end of the meal. The result is such a slight disappointment that either I wanted to drink while I was eating, or I already got sick of waiting while I waited.

Base areas.
A lot of frogs rush to the houses at sunset. Those who are not familiar with living creatures will be bad.
The pool is very chlorinated. During the day they let in a lot of daytime tourists, vacationers who continuously thump by the pool and in summer camps until the evening.
The frogs just jump into the pool at night.
The staff is responsive - there is no dispute and no complaints. How can they help.

Walk 7-8 minutes to the beach - a public beach. The density is 3 cars per 5 square meters. But the beach is very sandy and comfortable for a comfortable swim.

The main impression of the rest is spoiled - a terrible restaurant, and very uncomfortable beds and periodic power outages and water.
When paying attention to updating rooms and mattresses, improving the work of the restaurant, you can have a good rest due to the good beach to the quality of the sand. But the density

Hello everybody! Rested from 13-14 May 2021. We liked everything very much, rested with family and relatives. If you want to have a good time away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I highly recommend it. There is good parking, a children's entertainment area, a swimming pool and, most importantly, a cozy atmosphere of a beautiful landscape. There is a separate area for cooking: barbecue, pilaf, etc. , you can rent everything or use the services of a chef. There is a restaurant on site. As for the beach, it is good, not far from the territory.
In general, everything is very good, but in case of any nuances, you can always contact the administration, where they will certainly help you.
