Country Village Resort in Almaty

The bedside light in our room exploded and set on fire to our bed, we received no real apology.

The website and marketing promises wifi in every room, this was not available.

The call button to our eating area didn’t work (although was fixed eventually).

I was told that the pool was included in the price, even had this confirmed the day or arrival via WhatsApp but still had to pay.

The staff were friendly & helpful despite the language barrier.

The location is lovely although it’s a building site outside and not the ‘national park’ I was expecting / nowhere to walk as promised.

Three stars because of the staff & the lovely security man who drove us to the airport upon departure.
