Great hotel with amazing pool, sauna and gym. Food is also good and staff are very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

Twenty years ago the whole Rakhat was shining, today shines only elevator.

The room was clean and tidy, and although the facilities were a bit old, everything worked perfectly. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, spa, and other amenities, and the breakfast spread was quite extensive, though it did get a bit crowded in the mornings.

I was fotunate to book the renovated room, it was surely good, the AC is the only issue as it takes time to cool the room, also faced a small issue with the plugs next to the bed, they tend to disconnect after some time and you have to remove the card and reinstert it again, the breakfast area had a good buffet and nice seating area ( indoor and outdoor ) room service sometimes take time to attend...

Location is great, within short distance from great cafes and restaurants. Hotel room is nice and clean.

The room was average. The facilities were a bit dated. Cleanliness was acceptable, and the environment was just okay. However, the service was excellent.

The location was decent, and the breakfast was simple – just enough to grab a bite. However, I'm unsure why the room wasn't cleaned for two days. The check-in process at the front desk was just average.

Had a very comfortable stay at Rixos Hotel. The breakfast was plentiful, and the environment and location were both great.

An older hotel, which is not a bad thing. Breakfasts were fantastic. Our family had a negative experience with check in, cleanliness and safety in our room, and we had to address these matters with a manager. It’s obvious they need to deal with service quality when they make mistakes and get to a point where safety and customer satisfaction are priority.

First time in Almaty, and choosing this hotel really elevated my entire trip experience. First off, the front desk staff had excellent English, so communication was a breeze. Secondly, both the hot spring and breakfast far exceeded my expectations. The hotel views were also fantastic. The only downside is its slightly out-of-the-way location, which means taxi rides can be a bit long.

Extremely satisfied! The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is excellent. You absolutely must try the pool and sauna. A special shout-out to the bartender who, even though I was the only one there late at night, still made me a drink and brought me snacks. My two-day stay became even more perfect after it snowed. Everything was great, but the air conditioning and heating didn't quite cut it, making the room a bit cold.

Overall hotel was very nice. The room was big and bed and covers were amazing. Everyone was very nice and friendly. It is put of town, so away from a lot of things. The breakfast was great and in room service good as well. The last evening, there were kids using hallway as playground which didnt allow to relax, but overall everything else was very good. Would stay there again.

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was excellent, the food 😋good. I will return and make use of the spa and gym facilities as they were not open on my stay due to having work completed. I extended my stay for another night, and I must commend the hotel's thoughtfulness. The breakfast was quite good, but because I'm lactose intolerant, I got diarrhea after drinking milk. When I asked if the hotel had any medication, they first checked if I was allergic to it before giving me the medicine. They were very considerate and attentive.

The hotel is in a good location with spacious rooms. The level of service doesn't match the stated level. The bathroom is in terrible condition. The drain in the shower stall is clogged, and it's not fixed during cleaning. The shower faucet closes under its own weight, requiring a hand to hold it in place. You can shower in the bathtub, but the drain blocking valve is damaged, and the shutoff mechanism...

Clean hotel, but dull and dark. Services are okay.

First room was smell bad of smoke even though my booking was non smoking room . They gave me other room was good after i complained. I think hotels used to give worst room who booked through trip.com . It happened in my previous trip in Bali.

Hotels in Almaty are significantly inferior to those in China. The Ritz-Carlton's facilities are roughly equivalent to those of Atour X in China. The service is acceptable, but the breakfast is mediocre and too monotonous; it's not even in the same league as Ritz-Carlton hotels in China.

The hotel is well located. It's a decent hotel for the budget, and it's fine for a one-night stay. The service is excellent.

The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. Breakfast huge and tasty, there is everything, even common quail eggs… Rooms big and have nice views to city or mountais. Gym is very good too. Pool not big but enough good, sauna just separate in mans and womans changing rooms.

hotel is good and room.large and comfortable . view on a side is charming with all the mountains . shower good but with tub. breakfast reasonable but sometime when crowded you feel something missing on organization level . location is great ,just close to good area for walking ,finding coffee and restaurants . it is a quite area . some parking available . staff is responsive .

It's a shame you didn't read the reviews before your trip and instead trusted the brand and the stars. The service, hospitality, and professionalism are lacking. The hotel team needs to work on improving its reputation, especially in your city.

This is the second hotel I stayed at in Almaty. It's definitely an old-money style hotel. The hotel is located near the Koktobe cable car, which is convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection is not extensive, but it's still quite nice. The past two days have been sunny in Almaty. It's a great start to the new year!

The location is pretty good, near lots if restaurants and metro station. Easy to get the cabs. Walking distance to the opera house and city center. The room is big and the bathroom is clean. The only weak point us the air condition which is too old to cool down.

The room is not big, which is the common situation of most hotels in Almaty. But the room facilities are good. It is not as shabby as many hotels, but magnificent. There is a large community in front of the hotel with very good greenery. You can take a walk in the evening.

Generally, airline crews will choose hotels for their stay, so they won't be too bad. It's not far from the cable car station, about a 20-minute walk. Nice boutique hotel, the room was large, with large bathroom, minibar. Breakfast was not impressive at all, otherwise good location and nice room.

The lake view is truly unbeatable; you open the door to the lake and snow-capped mountains, but that's really the only highlight. If you have the budget, definitely book a separate suite. The soundproofing is terrible; you can feel the floor and bed vibrate every time someone walks in other rooms or the hallway, which makes it hard to get a good rest.

Pana Unique Kolsay 🚗 This popular riverside hotel requires you to park at Baursaq, then a 4WD from the hotel picks you up. It's a bumpy half-hour ride. 🥓 Breakfast is served at the Tary restaurant, which has an amazing view that everyone wants to check in for. However, the food isn't good at all – it's cold and expensive. The best thing was the fresh juice 🥹, but the beautiful view made up for it....
