What a fantastic hotel! The decor is classic European and American. I heard it cost $700 a night over a decade ago. The location is fantastic, and the rooms have river views. There are lots of people strolling and fishing along the river.

Hotel is very old, however staff is amazing and very friendly. Breakfasts were bad and didn’t have decent options, no boiled eggs or omelette and only weird color scrambled eggs. They didn’t have also lactose free milk option during the breakfast which is not acceptable.

The staff are absolutely fantastic, it is refreshing to see such a high standard. The cleaner is like a machine, she works so hard and everyday leaves the room like new. Great job by all, Thank you

I have been living there for business. Excellent staff who knows how to cater and maintain the facilities in top notch condition. Flexible and cooperative staff. Restaurant menu can be improved. Gym and pool facilities are top of the mark. Sauna and massage services are excellent.

The room is very good. I stayed there for the second time. It has a washing machine and a kitchen. It is my favorite hotel on this trip.

Not a bad hotel and priced to suit standards. Some rooms better than others as always in hotels. I always refuse 6th floor, especially if heavy luggage as lift on goes to 5th floor. It's just so-so, the facilities are old, the mattress is okay, the pillows are not so good, the slippers are like paper, but overall it's pretty good in Kazakhstan.

I was booked into the hotel by the company I work for. I extended my stay here for the whole duration of the time required for work related stuff. The rooms are superb, more of a small comfortable apartment with a very adequate kitchen space , small dining table for two , a lovely open plan living room with 50” tv & a spacious bedroom with lots of storage space . Front desk were a bit weird, two people barking instructions at the same time. I felt like an intruder, not a guest. Every other thing was fine but front desk were not friendly or very helpful.

The bed is comfortable but the door is not sound proof , you could wake up from the noise of housekeepers who talk so loud in the corridors and video call their kids. The toilet had sewer smell

I chose the hotel a few hours before arrival in Atyrau. I chose based on the price, since I was traveling alone without a family and the requirements for the conditions were minimal. Pros: The room is clean, there is a bathrobe, slippers (reusable), 2 towels, hairdryer. The room is very warm, heat regulated. Negative: no breakfast area. Only delivery from a cafe across the street.

It's OK. Not a busy place so you will get the attention from the waiters/ waitress once you sit inside. Nothing special with their foods and so with their draft beers.

The food is normal. The toilets in the hotel are horrible. Rooms are clean but shabby, with a claim to a suite but made absolutely without a sense of taste. For the money that is asked for accommodation - it will go.

The hotel is new, everything is clean. There is a kettle, tea, coffee and sugar. Even a safe. The free breakfast is very filling. The road to the airport is free of traffic jams. The staff works efficiently.

The area is clean, well-groomed, cafe and shop, dining room. The food is delicious. The hotel is inhabited mainly by shift workers, so it is noisy at night, people smoke in the rooms, and the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night.

It's enough for few hours to stay during crew change. Not exactly hotel as it called.

I liked the service. Polite, friendly, explain how to get to the address in the city. Forgot my things in the room. They contacted me and informed me about this. I picked it up a month later, everything was safe and sound. Sound insulation is weak, both at windows and doors.

Their steaks are really delicious and seasoned well. I highly recommend them with fries which are also good. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Rooms are adequate. The room has an excellent price and is a very short walk from the Atyrau airport, but the lights are dim (especially in the bathroom). The fancy looking shower is tiny and the water pressure is to low.

The location is convenient. We were in this hotel in transit. Clean, but not all the rooms. Noise from neighboring rooms can be heard even when someone just sneezes (. The price is reasonable and relatively clean. There is a great cafe nearby

Stayed 2 days in this hotel. Rooms are ok, no table and chairs. Stuff is ok and no restaurant in the hotel.

+ Nice staff - At times the water was turned off, perhaps it did not depend on the hotel, but on the city network. - The TV is not smart TV, you can only watch TV channels. For example, you can’t watch youtube - The biggest disadvantage is the lack of sound insulation; you can hear your neighbors on the floor and those below very well.

I stayed at the New Chagala for 4 nights and I found the staff, rooms and food all to be great. Staff were really polite and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy. Food was good, different choices every night and tasty. Because of current situation, no beer unfortunately. Hopefully next time as would stay again.

Most of the rooms have old furniture. However, all are well heated in the winter time. For breakfast they offer porrage, fruits (mainly sliced orange, grapefruit, mandarins, apple and banana), cheese, baked potato, yogurt, juices, cornflakes, muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Also, you may order omlette. TV has many chanels in different languages. Internet via free WiFi gets really slow in the evenings...

Love this hotel and delicious breakfast every morning, especially after being in Tengiz for 2 months! Plus, there's a calisthenics park very near right on the river. No excuses!

Nice hotel near the center of the city. Good resturant. Wifi connection is free in the hall, in the room internet connection is available via cable but may be an extra (the cost is about 10 euros/day) Standard room are not big but are clean and confortable.

Quarantined at this place for a week prior going to Tengiz. Overall, good room (particularly #201), quite clean, white sheets, amenities are in decent condition. Service is fast and pleasant. I've spent a vacation in this hotel with my wife in August 2015. The place is amazing and cozy. Not a huge hitel with dozens of pools, but a small cozy place. Opposite to this place there is same hotel but accepted without children and babies. Very close to coast line, good food, absolutely high level service.

Reasonable prize. The Manager arranged a taxi for me to explore. Chef accommodated my food preferences & the Indian menu was excellent & unexpected in a provincial city.

The Indian lunch was great, dinner didn't appeal to me that much but the company was great.

We were invited there as guests to a lunch, with some Indian friends. The food were awsome. The venue big enough. Strange, we had Indian food, in a Chinese room.

Cozy rooms, the hotel is in nice area, close to the river so you can go for a walk. Delicious breakfast is inlcluded. Stuff is very helpful(especially the young lady with long black hair:))

The staff is polite and responsive for which many human thanks. Requests are answered immediately. But I can't say the same about the rooms. It would not hurt to replace the mattresses, old ones.
