A high-quality hotel, a good breakfast, comfortable beds, and friendly service. An extra nice surprise was the birthday sparkling wine delivered to the room without us ordering it.

Good hotel, great location, good breakfast. The problem, like most hotels in Riga's Old Town - no parking! So if you're traveling by car, I suggest you do your homework in advance about where to leave your car. And it won't be cheap.

Love this well appointed hotel. Great breakfasts and wonderful service. We booked the smallest room, and it was small but well appointed with a clean, new bathroom and an opening window with good views of the boulevard. Great value for money. Would recommend.

Excellent hotel. Very welcoming and the location was perfect. Right by the bus station and the old town and it's amazing night life. Lift is a bit slow! The room we had was huge. Apparently it can be tram noisy but I didn't hear a thing. They did provide earplugs just in case

Lovely renovated hotel located close to old town, farmers market and art nouveau area.
In my 40 years of travel I haven't encountered as wonderful pillow and bedding. I even tried to find the pillow source to have it shipped, but no luck.
Breakfast had great variety and dining room was comfortable.
Windows had good sound insulation so no problem with the tram below.
Espresso machine in the room and a fluffy bathrobe were wonderful extras.

This hotel is fabulous. The location is perfect for exploring Riga on foot. The room was very spacious and the ensuite was large and had a really good shower. The complimentary bottles of water which were left every day were a nice touch. The noise from the trams didn't bother us too much.
The breakfasts are amazing with so much choice. My only minor complaint is that a couple of mornings when I asked for fried eggs they arrived somewhat cold.

The location is great - close to tram/train/bus and walking distance to old town. Quite charming as well but not by any means particularly comfortable.
The beds are very hard and the AC was not adjustable (except the fan speed but I'm still unsure if it was actually cooling or heating...). You could open the windows but it was quite noisy from a nearby night club.
Breakfast was ok. Not the best selection and the same each day.
I would only recommend this hotel for the price and the location. For a good night's sleep I'd to anywhere else.

A lovely hotel - stories of noise from the tram are greatly exaggerated unless you’ve very sensitive hearing! Shame the restaurant and bar are closed every Sunday and Monday as sometimes you just don’t want to have to go out and explore.

A lovely historical hotel. Great location and clean, charming, modern rooms. Excellent breakfast and breakfast mimosas for those wishing to start their day off with a kick!
Excellent coffee as well. Check out at 12noon was also a great comfort for us as we were taking it slow

As regular visitors to Riga, we were so pleased to try out the Metropole. We were not dissapointed. The check in was very efficient and the pleasant lady on reception gave us all the information we needed. Lovely comfortable and well equipped room overlooking the inner courtyard.
The breakfast is substantive.
The whole team at this Hotel were friendly and professional.
