SCC Hotel City Centre in Kuala Lumpur

This booking was a complete waste of money and time.
We booked and paid online for a City View room on Agoda, but after arrival we were given a basic standard room.

The hotel claimed their system showed no City View room, which is simply not true.
It feels like they intentionally lie and hold for walking customers, keeping better rooms to sell later at more expensive rates.

Staff refused to take responsibility and said refund is possible only if another customer rents the room.
This is misleading, dishonest, and unprofessional.
Do not trust their agoda system, room photos, or promises.

I paid RM70 for this place, but the experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

As soon as I entered the toilet, I realized that the toilet could not flush at all, which is a very basic facility.

The pillow smelled very bad, making it impossible to rest properly.

When I tried to take a shower, a cockroach suddenly came out, which was shocking and unhygienic.

This place is dirty, poorly maintained, and completely not worth the money.

I am very dissatisfied with the overall condition and cleanliness, and this experience has seriously affected my stay.

I would not recommend this place to anyone and expect an explanation or compensation for such a poor experience.

I booked a room at SCC Hotel City Centre Kuala Lumpur for 25 December 2025 to 31 December 2025. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. First of all, the condition of the hotel is very poor. The moment I entered my room, there was a strong, unpleasant smell it was so bad that I could barely stay inside. The room felt unclean and unhygienic, and it did not match the pictures or description shown online at all. I realised immediately that the hotel was not suitable even for a few hours. So I went to the reception on 25 December itself and asked them to cancel my booking right away. I explained clearly that I did not want to stay and that the room was unacceptable. Despite canceling on the same day, they refused to refund a single cent of my payment. Not even a small amount. I have stayed in many hotels in Malaysia and around the world, but I have never had such a terrible experience both in terms of room quality and customer service. The staff were not helpful, and refund policies were not honored, which was very disappointing. Overall, I strongly do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you care about cleanliness, comfort, and proper service, please avoid SCC Hotel City Centre Kuala Lumpur. My stay was stressful, uncomfortable, and completely not worth the money I paid.

This property is not meant to be live for humans. Extremely unhygienic, dirty and smell like hell, Smell is so intense that you can’t even sit in the room for even 10mins (actually 10 secs). Soon after I checked in and went to my room, a strong weird smells welcomed me. I ran right away to find another property. I was lucky to find a good room nearby. I booked for 5 night but stayed there for 10 min even they didn’t not refund the money back but I don’t care as for as I didn’t not die by smell. Please DO NOT go there even if it’s the last accommodation option left in the world. It’s TOTAL waste of money.
