The G Hotel by JL in St Julians

I’ve been fortunate to travel a lot and I can honestly say that this is probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in, not just the rooms, the cleanliness but the staff, well the manager Natalija, the rest of the staff were amazing. We arrived for check in, we walked into our room, they were still cleaning and painting the damp. They offered us another room but was not suitable as we wanted twin beds. We then waited over an hour for the original room, when we eventually got in, the towels were disgusting, I had blood on my bed sheet, covered in make up and hair. We then had to wait another hour until this was all cleaned. When we complained, the ‘manager’ Natalija said ‘they’re not dirty they’re stained’, we use high chemicals to wash out linen’. Instead of apologising, she answered with attitude, and if their linen is washed with ‘high chemicals’ blood or make up should come out. She had no sympathy that were already we already waited two hours to check in, especially after travelling we just wanted to check in with no hassle to a nice clean room. Not just were the bed sheets, towels, were absolutely vile, the TV didn’t work, the rooms were riddled in damp, smelt really bad, and woke up every morning coughing! Only good thing about this hotel is it’s location. The breakfast also very very poor, but the break host Martin is amazing! NEVER will I stay here again or go anywhere near this hotel, mainly because of the managers attitude.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff who were upbeat, chatty and kind to me.

I stayed during the week but little did I know that this is some kind of loud party area. I couldn't sleep until around 04:00 when the drunkards managed to stagger off somewhere else. There was also a lot of car revving in addition to shouting.

The bathroom was very run down, with some mould in one corner and the shower was falling apart. The air conditioner barely worked and there was a dirty mark on the bed sheet.

The communication prior to arrival was completely absent in contrast to many other hotels I have stayed at where they send me door codes and everything in advance. It was stressful arriving, but thankfully the staff helped me via telephone.

Finally there is poor mobile internet reception in the area so don't assume you can just look up your reservation at the door.

The worst hotel I ever been to. Black mould in many places in the bathroom And we were not able to lock our door which they never fixed, so we had to move to another room. Even that new room had black mould and smelled very bad. Breakfast was so poor and bad that we have to go outside the hotel to get breakfast every morning. The staff were not friendly and helpful, and it’s very noisy outside the hotel. I would never recommend this to anyone.
