Ambassador Hotel in St. Pauls Bay

Visited here on October,The room was pretty decent and location was outstanding the ocean waves and birds literally the best morning view one can witness, the staff was nice n friendly, wasn’t too impressed with breakfast but meh 7/10

The staff were very kind and the view from the hotel was amazing. The price was reasonable, so if you're looking for a quiet place to stay in Malta, this hotel is perfect! There's also a cat living nearby.

Breakfast was excellent. Finally something of substance other the eating croissants for 2 weeks in Sicily. LOL. Hotel has beautiful view. Bit far away from the action but it depends what you want. Action or relax. Little bit of Renovation and refresh would not hurt. Staff is helpful and attentive to your needs. I'd rate it good average hotel. G;

We didn't have high expectations after reading some of the reviews, however for a 3 star hotel this is ideal! It is a little out the way of the main St Paul's Bay area, but it's nice and quiet, the views are beautiful!! There's a shop, a couple restaurants and cafes within a 10 min walk. Always someone at reception, free water. You can't control air con temp but it does work at least. Swimming pool is decent size and fine, we always found sun beds too. Only went to breakfast once as we don't get up very early, but it was adequate. The bar staff (especially slightly older guy in the evenings) are great, really lovely and accomodating. Rooms were fine, everything worked. I don't think people should pay the price of a 3 star hotel and expect 5 star quality. But overall this is great value for money so can't complain!

Great location, great staff and service.

The property is of medium quality, with issues with both waterpressure and aircon temperature (this was not the same in different rooms). There is no fridge in the room, but this can be rented from the hotel for €3.50 pr night, wich i thought was quite excessive, specially thinking the level/quality of the hotel and how this usually is included in rooms. The hotel rooms are not very well insulated and you can hear people talking in the next room or in the hallway, almost lile they are in the room with you. it is also a very small hotel with just over 40 rooms, and the breakfast selection is very limited. The hotel is quite a distance from the city og St.Pauls Bay, even though it is easy to take the local busses, there is both unregularities in time according to schedule and limited busses that actually go in to town. The traffic can also be horrendous at certain times. There are some local restaurants in the area, but not a huge selection. HOWEVER!! All this considering, every single one of the hotel staff was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcome, was happy and comfortable, and showed a genuine interest. There was never a no from anyone, they just fixed issues quickly and efficiently. The cleaning staff did a super job every single day, gave fresh towels every day, and i often came back to find beautiful towel-figurines on the beds.

I highly recommend staying at Ambassador Hotel when in St. Paul's Bay, Malta. Have in mind that this is a 3-star hotel, but it's absolutely worth it as it's the best a 3-star can get. The cleanliness of the room was a big plus. Internet is free and decent. There is a bus stop near the hotel called "Xemxija", which easily takes you to either Popeye Village, or to the senter of St. Paul's Bay and more. The hotel offers guests free and unlimited water bottle refills by the water dispenser in the reception, and the water is ice cold. Also the staff are super helpful and polite. My experience was very positive!

I the Ambassador hotel with my husband and father for 11 nights this month. When we arrived, earlier than the prescribed check in time, I was advised both of our rooms were ready and there was no issue checking in early. Sophia on the front desk could not have been more lovely, finding a ground floor room for my dad who’s not a fan of stairs (although there is actually a lift). My husband and I were also upgraded to a sea view room. The hotel was exceptionally clean, everywhere, bedroom, bar, pool and all communal areas. Its position on the bay is slightly elevated and outstanding. The views from the restaurant and pool sunbeds are unobstructed over the harbour itself, but at the same time the location is quiet and relaxing. Isabell who works in the restaurant could not have done enough for us, she recommended lots of good places to visit and restaurants to eat. Although, there were several menus to choose from at the hotel, where we ate homemade meals several times during our stay and found the food to be of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was a very cooked fresh each morning and there was a choice of full English, cereals, pastries and fresh fruit. Christian, the hotel and bar manager was so welcoming and friendly, again, he and Zoran could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. One night my dad had forgotten to take any water to his room, when he contacted reception, they said the bar was locked up for the night. 10 minutes later, in the early hours of the morning there was a knock at his door, they’d sent out for water to be delivered. - I’ve never even experienced this level of service in a 5 star hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone, couples and families. We’ll definitely be back 🌟

super friendly customer service. Quiet swimming cove, beautiful cliffs. Right on bus line. Yummy breakfast buffet & good air conditioner in rooms. Balcony to dry clothes & read book while enjoying view.
