Old but nice:) clean rooms, excellent and friendly staff, most amazing sea views from the balconies!

We arrived in Malta from England with no accommodation for our 7 night stay

The taxi dropped us off at a cafe bar across the road from Hotel Roma and we initially only booked for one night as the price was cheap and decided to give it a one night trial

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who just uses their hotel room as a base and do not be put off by the reasonably priced room! Ok we didn’t have a pool but we had the beautiful Mediterranean Sea right on our doorstep

Thanks to Dena who is a very kind lady we had a problem with another hotel. In the early hours of the morning we has no where to stay. Friendly clean hotel with wonderful views. Wonderful location near everything

Fast, cheap and good wine and food… This is a Small Simple Place that serves good value home cooked meals the service was first class… The rabbit was so tender and the sauce very tasty, bragoli also very nice… Really varied menu with lots of choice… Vegan Options, Vegetarian Friendly, Gluten Free Options…

We arrived outside of reception working hours but the check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

My friend and I stayed in this lovely small hotel for 5 days. It is a facility with excellent position, very clean , with charming and helpfuly staff. They are very pleasant and you will always get advice or asistence

We considered hiring a car but because of how easily accessible and conveniently located the hotel is we were glad we did not hire a car. The staff are really friendly and accommodating

Raphael the manager is Number One! Always available and ready to satisfy every need. Spacious, lighted rooms complete with comforts: Netflix TV and air conditioning. Impeccable cleaning. Advised .

A lovely boutique hotel, the room was beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities we needed. The bed was huge and comfortable and there were extra pillows on the bed

The hotel is conveniently located near to the bus stops, restaurants, clubs and shops. We found it to be an ideal starting place for our day trips each morning

A lot of restaurants and beach shops line the street, and is a wonderful laundromat just 150’ from the hotel’s front door

I had a great time, the staff were welcoming and the location was excellent.

Only down side I could find was the in-room hairdryer was basicslly ineffective - Made noises and smelt of burning when used but no actually abilty to use (only found out at 1am when no one was around shortly before i was leaving for a early flight)

The room was excellent, spacious and came with a balcony. This was extremely useful come the evening when wanting to relax. The bed was firm, but not overly which for me was perfect as it was

Its well placed and was pretty much easy to get around from. Clubs/Bars just up the hill with more dotted around. Plenty of dining options around St Julian too, all easy enough to walk to

The air con seemed locked at 22 degrees also, no idea how to change it. Other than those, the stay was enjoyable, comfortable and definitely will consider staying again

Just behind Valletta Food Market, which for us was great as we booked this type of accommodation as it had a fridge / oven so we could do some of our own food. At night it was quiet so we slept really well

A totally unexpected beautiful hotel, rooftop terrace with the most amazing views. Friendly staff especially Maria. Breakfast was lovely and better than I anticipated. Loved the room 104 with balcony

I recently stayed at here and want to start by clarifying that this is not a standard hotel. It operates more like a high-quality Airbnb, but with the nice addition of a provided breakfast

Very Small Shower: The shower is quite compact. I am about 165 cm (5'5") and found it tight. Anyone taller or of a larger build might find it uncomfortable and may want to request a different room with a larger shower

The staff are genuinely wonderful, friendly and kind. On our last day, as we had to leave very early for a ferry to Sicily, they thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for us, which we really appreciated

We stayed in the Superior Sea View room. terrace/ balcony with excellent views of the bay and the promenade of Sliema. The breakfast is delicious and varied, the reception staff is friendly

Excellent value for money with breakfast included, outdoor swimming pool 5 minutes walk away, ferry to Valletta right opposite, super convenient! Super friendly staff at the buffet and reception, as well as the cleaning team

A unique, wonderful view from the hotel window to the capital Valletta. The service at the hotel is good. The operators are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, the selection is quite wide

The biggest problem is that the pool is quite far from the hotel. There are also problems with parking at the hotel. But in general, everything is good

The only downside is the poor insulation: you hear every door slam as soon as someone leaves. But overall I am very happy with this hotel

The only good perk is the location which is located right by the ferry port and other companies ferry and the view from my room is amazing. Otherwise, the room is nothing like the pictures, very outdated and old

The amazing relationship of all the staff, starting from the administrator - Alexandera -!!! (😊professionalism and friendliness, which is beyond praise) to the staff in the kitchen, a very comfortable room with a Maltese balcony, and a very atmospheric design of the entire hotel

Breakfast was incredible, the location of this hotel (and the St John's) could not be better so either way you will be in very premium location in Valetta in the middle of everything

From arrival you are treated like royalty, the staff does everything in their power to make you feel premium. We got a room with the in-room sauna and I must say it was a joy

We booked for the St John's but upon arrival we were kindly told we had been upgraded so I guess this review is for the Roselli

The Roselli is a 5 stars and therefore a little more expensive, however, if you can afford it I would absolutely recommend to stay there

Had an absolutely amazing time at the ax st John Valletta Malta .staff very helpful and friendly..I would definitely go back and stay again.also in the heart of Valletta .so close to everything I needed ..

Excellent Hotel have been here twice before and have recently booked again for this October Family run very clean and staff helpful and also recently all the rooms have all been refurbished very central to bugibba square highly recommended

We were expecting a double room with a kitchenette but got an apartment with 2 double rooms with a full kitchen, a welcome surprise. The whole place was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed

Both pools were lovely although being November I didn’t brave the roof top one. The little gym had enough equipment to do a basic workout although it was dated and probably didn’t get used a lot

The staff lovely, friendly and very helpful. Location near to bars, restaurants, 10 min walk to bus depot and a well stocked large supermarket and just round the corner a little corner shop

Bolt taxi's used and we never waited more than 5 minutes. We always got a sunbed by the pool, considering it was peak season and not a huge space, I was surprised

The hotel location is ideal, close to transport connections. All amenities were in great working order. And most importantly, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back!

Most importantly quiet and the whole experience feels very personal. Roof terrace perfect and we enjoyed it every evening, still getting the sun in October. What sets this hotel apart though is the staff

We were visiting Mellieha to meet up with friends who were staying in the Pergola Hotel - we prefer somewhere a bit more luxurious so opted for the Lure Hotel & Spa

This was an excellent decision - the Lure is a small boutique hotel with only 12 rooms, so immediately on arrival you are made to feel special

I was especially impressed with the excellent hot green tea I had each day - the teapot had an insulating cover which kept the tea nice and hot - a small detail, but something that doesn't always happen

The terrace had a hot tub which was constantly on - we tried it one day and enjoyed it, however, it was a bit of a faff getting the covers off and on as there wasn't much room around the hot tub

Breakfast was included, and this was also very good - a nice selection of the usual meals to order, with a selection of fruit, cheese and ham and pastries provided on a tiered cake stand

An amazing hotel with fantastic staff who couldn't do more to make our stay a memorable one. The location was perfect for exploring this beautiful city. We received the BEST welcome that we have ever had in a hotel

This hotel is truly unique! Staying in a 400-year-old building while enjoying top-notch service was a real treat. They brought us small snacks twice a day, and there's a lovely little outdoor pool on the rooftop

A unique, highly curated and well thought out hotel. One of the coolest I’ve been to. And far from the touristy hustle bustle. The u aground spa and rooftop pool was the highlight.

We were there for a festival so didnt need to spend much time in the room other than to get ready and to sleep. Dont let the other reviews scare you or put you off its definitely not as bad as what its made out to be

I had a great stay at the Canifor Hotel in Malta. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. The location is convenient, close to the coast and local shops

When we got there we were very pleasantly surprised, it was clean and a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are quite large and functional. I would definitely stop there again

We both really enjoyed our holiday at Mediterranea Seaviews. In the last years, we have been to many holiday homes, but none were as good and comfortable as Mediterranea

From the very beginning to the end of our Gozo holiday, our stay at Mediterranea Seaviews Gozo holiday home was fantastic

Frank, the owner’s hospitality, kindness and help have been second to none. In the house, we missed nothing because you find everything and even more. Certainly we strongly recommend Gozo holiday home to anyone

We also received free logs for the fireplace, and two personalized maps by Frank to make our Gozo experience a memorable one. Our stay at Mediterranea Seaviews was very comfortable and relaxing

The apartment is well situated within walking distance from the port and with a bus stop very close. We used the bikes at the property and cycled all over Gozo

After our first stay (7 nights) here in Frank´s Holiday Home in July 2021, we knew we must come back soon, and here we are in October the same year, enjoying the magic of the place again (4 nights)

This property was chosen for access to the airport. It was about 11 euros taxi ride, and very convenient. This is a working port town but a nice walk around the sea with a little beach. The hotel provides beach towels

We enjoyed the restaurant next door but there was one in the hotel and plenty of others surrounding the hotel. The staff was nice and the room was comfortable with a port view and balcony

Overall stay was great Wi-Fi was a little spotty the location cannot be beat

There are three other eating places within yards and another Angelinos across the park which is excellent. The bus stop is within yards of the hotel so access is easy and the buses reasonably punctual

Short one night stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing view from my room. The location is superb, right on the beach, very clean room, comfy bed. Highly recommend this hotel in Birzebbuga.

Lovely new beach-side elevator building. Room was clean, modern, with a balcony overlooking the water and the nearby container ships. The sandy beach is literally steps away

It’s a traditional Maltese building with sandstone walls that has been tastefully refurbished with gorgeous Mediterranean tiles and local art on the walls. The owners have amazing taste and Julie is a wonderful cook

Received a warm and friendly welcome from hosts Julie and Glen. The house is beautifully restored and full of character,within walking distance of the Ferry to Valletta, Senglea and Birgu. Excellent breakfasts.

Very nice guesthouse in a restored building. Well done and everything looks high quality. The house has so many old features but combined with modern rooms who offer all the comfort you can wish for

Stopped for a coffee and a slice of apple pie. Is in the back streets of Victoria on the Marselforn side of the main road from the harbour

The pie and the coffee were both good, at a reasonable price, and the lady who served me was pleasant

Very good budget hotel if you like to be in the centre of Victoria very close to everywhere in Gozo

Location, location, location. In the heart of Sliema, with seafront view, right next to a bus stop. Also, a good restaurant inside.

I almost forgot to mention the WiFi here is absolutely terrible. It kept dropping and I had to manually reconnect every minute. Sometimes it wouldn’t even connect after re-entering the login info

Also the air conditioning couldn’t go on full blast but it was still able to cool down the room especially with the help of the ceiling fan. Overall, it was a decent experience

At least I had a roof over my head and a place to sleep so this place was alright for me. Thing is though, there are many downsides to this hotel, at least for me

The beds are squeaky and you can hear the pubs all around at night. The window for the bathroom smelled so foul when we opened it that we never opened it again

If you’re looking for a basic hotel for a decent price, this is it. Don’t expect anything close to luxurious. Heck there isn’t even a mini fridge in here

Breakfast was great! But it didn't start until 7 am, and the soundproofing was a bit poor. The hairdryer adapter seemed to have been taken by other tourists, so we had to use our own

We had a great stay at the V. Comfy, Clean, quiet, great value, staff got you whatever you needed with no fuss. Super happy with our stay. Loved the location too.

Hotel Flamingo is incredibly good, all praise for the staff, hygiene and kindness. The breakfast is correct, maybe add a little more fresh fruit and vegetables

It is located near the sea, there are many shops and stores around and near the center. Malta is beautiful and has interesting content that should not be missed and a nice experience to drive on the left side🥳

They constantly made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The location was also fantastic - everything we needed was just a short walk away, making it very convenient for exploring the area

Amazing place! We were very worried about it judging by others opinions but everything changed when we arrived. Room was extremely clean and fresh. The place is run by its owners (wife and husband)

Guest house location is very good - 1 minute walk to bus stop, whereas a bus can take you almost anywhere on the island. If you're visiting Malta soon, we would definitely recommend you the Euro Guest House!

We didn't buy the breakfast option because we preferred to try some local specialities, so we can't tell whether it's good or not. The wi-fi access and a safe were free of charge

They are very nice and kind people. We stayed at Euro Guest House for a week and payed 147 euro which is extremely cheap

The room was a bit small and the double bed was two mattresses pushed together, making it uncomfortable to sleep on; otherwise, everything was fine.

Clean and comfortable Seaview room. Room and hotel in general could use a bit of upgrading; I felt we traveled back to the early 70's, but in very good condition. Breakfast buffet is good and plentiful

Free parking in the public lot, literally 50 feet from the front door. I'm not sure if we would stay there again due to the uncomfortable bed and tiny room, but it's definitely a good value and fabulous location

It's tiny, quite cramped and the bed hard. Very average room but very clean with lots of hot water. The TV is old and only Maltese channels available. The staff are excellent and the breakfast good

The Oceanview room is incredible overlooking Xlendi Bay. Everything is at the doorstep including great hikes and viewpoints. The room itself is older and dated with only 2 plugs for gadgets

The room matched the photos perfectly, although it wasn’t very clean and the bed could have been more comfortable. The location is great a just a short walk from the sea, with restaurants and public transport nearby

The receptionist staff were excellent, especially Jay Naranja who made sure everything was comfortable and hassle-free. The hotel is perfectly located in a central area, making it easy to get around

My brother’s family (2 adults and a 6-year-old) stayed at the Spinola Hotel from 30 January to 2 February 2026 and had a very pleasant stay

Overall, great value for money and highly recommended
