Breakfast is basic and customer service is not so great, I had to find my seat from a long queue going in, and get my own coffee. It wasn’t great experience at all. Maybe becos it was fully booked by the time I got there

Wow, cannot fault this hotel at all, perfect location, right near the beach with lots of food places

Slept really well as the mattress was absolutely perfect, so so comfortable and the shower, ooof just perfect to wind down after a long day

The buffet was good but could be better. Location is super convenient and it’s near everything. The view was the cherry on top of the cake. For this quality I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t have a good view but yay

Checked in 16/07/21 and checked out 18/07/21. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located with excellent parking for guests. Spotlessly clean with all the new amenities

An excellent four star hotel on the Harbour in Gozo easy for the ferry five minutes walk away and only 3 miles from Victoria in the centre of Gozo, the staff give the hotel more of a local feel rather than that of an international brand

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Gozo. We were in the newer section of the hotel (room 867)

It appeared that hotel was under renovation, so it should be going in the right direction.

My wife has a food allergy and she was so well looked after. Will definitely be going back there

Conveniently located at the center of st Julian, 5 mins walk to the bus stop. The room was spacious and comfortable for a solo traveler like me. Nice reception staffs! A early check in was allowed without extra fee

Rooms cleaned daily, tea + instant coffee provided free of charge and also replenished on a daily bases. Room very comfy and quite spacious. Hotel staff very friendly and eager to help no matter the time of day

They had the housecleaning manager meet me at my room to walk them through all the things that were wrong (I'm sure they already knew. ) and then they put us up in a newly renovated room which was 100x better

The hotel has a good location. Beaches are near, restaurants, cafés … if I allow my self nitpicking … I would say bigger gym / sauna. And I way to make the AC less cold 😂 (or maybe I couldn’t set it right 🤷🏻‍♂️)

the location is okay and the seaview is amazing. But the swimming pool is quite dirty.

The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of hot and continental dishes. I had a double room at the back of the hotel away from the bay, quiet but WiFi was a little slow

The room was large with good amenities; fridge, kettle, bathtub, balcony, AC heater etc. The furniture was stylish with plenty of drawers and hanging space

The balcony overlooks the harbor, and yachts for day trips dock right outside the door, which is very convenient, but reservations are required in advance. There are many restaurants nearby

Spent six nights here at the Calypso in November. Great location with some fantastic walks along the shore road. Rooftop terrace with pool and the rooms with a seaview were the reason why I booked. Would stop again.

Typical hotel in San Pawl, good for sunny break. You get what you pay for. Breakfast and dinner is basic but VERY good for the price.

Nothing appeared to be too much for them. The area lacks a bit and is a bit grubby but this is more down to tourists just throwing litter on the floor. I've stayed in better definately but I've also stayed in a lot worse

Towels and bedding changed every couple of days, which I'm sure is enough! Food not brilliant but found some thing to eat each day. Staff very nice, so no complaints really, get what you pay for!

Overall a decent place if you’re planning to cook/self cater, but if you’re looking for something pretty and picturesque you’ll either have to use the buses or Bolt/Uber to explore other places

You can see the Mediterranean Sea and tourists whenever you go out. The area around the restaurant and bar is bustling. Turn right and there's a flower shop a few dozen meters away

Great balcony view of the harbour that you can see the fireworks and old town. Super close to the ferry. Party music a bit loud next door but ok. Value of money for the stay in Malta, highly recommended.

Situated in the back streets, it allows easy access to both Qawra and Bugibba with only a short walk downhill to Qawra promenade and a 5 minute walk to Bugibba bus station, tourist Street and a 15 minute stroll to the main Bugibba square which is unfortunately still under construction

) The dining room, bar area,lifts and reception have been given a makeover since our last visit 2 and a half years ago and although the layout does not make the best use of space, it is more than adequate in its funcionality

The room was much more than I expected for the price and it was very comfortable. The location is great, since the hotel looks towards the sea which is so pretty

The overall cleanliness and location were good, but the bathroom was leaking a ton of water. The bathroom floor was a sea of ​​water. The shower stall didn't seem to be properly waterproofed or finished.

Maybe the only downsides was that at times the breakfast area as well as the elevator were a bit crowded, but other than that all was perfect

This hotel was super clean, I originally booked a corner suite room for me and my mum , my husband joined our trip last minute and the receptionist accommodated a family suite which had 2 rooms with double beds, living area and kitchen on the day for extra cost but I was grateful they had offered a bigger room

Spa was great, you need to make booking in advance as they don’t always have appointments. They have a free shuttle service to town which you also have to book in advance

Fantastic hotel in a lovely location that overlooks a harbour. Food and service are excellent. There is a ferry to Valletta a 5 minute walk away. We stayed over New Year and enjoyed the celebrations on the rooftop

Also, a bonus is that the ferry to Valletta is right around the corner over the bridge! The on site restaurant is highly rated - we paid for breakfast to be included in our stay, and by the 4th day, we were fatigued of even that delicious food :) The menu is short and there are not very many customization options beyond what is on the menu

Staying here is like stepping back in time. Boutique hotel located in a former bastion where the rooms are large and well appointed. Staff was engaged and friendly. Location is superior for exploring Bormla

Yellowy mark on the ceiling fan control switch. Stained sink overflow that looked as though it needed a good clean through. And one of the pillow cases on the bed was ripped at one of the seams

Lovely room with a view over to the Cittadella in Victoria and Żebbuġ. Around a 10 minute walk into the centre of Xagħra and Uber/Bolts can also pick you up from outside the hotel without any problems

This hotel is outstanding!!! The staff, facilities, and food add to the charm of this hotel. The rooms have everything that you need and the surrounding pools, outdoor dining/seating areas are well kept

They are harmless and just looking for a bit of water. You can simply move them outside. In the patio you will also see some lizards and geckos. Please let them be, as they are the best natural pest control

we were switched to the Gomerino a sister hotel. The hotel was in a grest location

What we missed was storage space for our citybreak luggage, we had to keep everything in the two cabin trolleys because there were no shelves to put anything on. The nightstand drawers were used for socks and underwear

The hotel is in walking range of everything interesting. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, especially the Eggs Benedict that everybody takes photos of, and for good reason

Perfect location, peaceful and a short walk to main street. Junior suit was beautiful with stunning city & ocean views looking towards Sliema. Small balcony but it was too cold for us to use

I recehad the good fortune to stay at the Alexandra hotel in St Julians Malta. The bedroom was lovely and clean and the buffet breakfast was ideal for the low cost stay

After reading the reviews here, I almost cancelled my reservation, but I'm glad in the end I didn't! I thought the hotel was pretty ok for the price, with excellent breakfast, the room wasn't super modern, but it was nice and clean, nothing was broken, there hot water kettle, the balcony was nice, it was possible to see the sea

Breakfast was very noce and great quality, probably one of the best Ive had come accross. Maybe ita dependent on the season, but i have had zero issues that are mentioned here

Thr reception staff was so helpful and accommodating and made sure I was collected in good time for my departure. For a single traveller such as I it was in a handy spot to get buses to Sliema, Gozo ferry and Valetta

There is outdoor pool, lounge area, and indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The only thing that could be improved was the water pressure in the showe. The location is also pretty good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The fact that we had spent 2 days at a "luxury resort" that didn't really care for our comfort, to this ibis styles hotel which offered us a drink of water as soon as we walked in through the front door, made us realise that this hotel understands what hospitality really means

Visiting Malta for the first time, this hotel is in a lovely coastal location, close to shops and restaurants, very easy to get to by local buses. Short stroll to the seafront and bus stops

When we also informed them that he had a super early flight to catch the next morning and wouldn't be able to eat the buffet breakfast, they offered to pack him some food to take with him, and got it ready by 6am in the morning

I'm staying for 6 nights and blown away by the service and hospitality given already. Views are as described just better. You are in the heart of the action here. It's great to go downstairs and be in the hustle

Excellent location, very friendly staff. The single room had no natural light , so is like a cave. It does say on web site, it has no window, but the reality was very claustrophobic

The condition of the rooms arent the best as in it doesnt look the cleanest but perhaps it is because the hotel is quite old/outdated, but it definitely does the job when you need a place to rest

The main issue is the thin walls. You can hear everything from next door and the halls so definitely don’t stay here if you’re a light sleeper
