The best place to stay in Malta

Although the room is a bit small, the view is unbeatable. It is very pleasant to enjoy the breeze and the view on the terrace.

There is hardly a better location in Sliema. The shopping mall is just 100 m away and the ferry is 5 minutes away. We had a room with a sea view on the 9th floor - the best view you could wish for. The breakfast was very good and everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff are particularly worth mentioning, they are always friendly and helpful.

Our second stay at Urban Valley. We were allocated a very large suite and noticed a few missing touches as far as toiletries. Staff were very pleasant throughout.

Hotel is fine. Location is central but not easily walkable — fine if you have a car. Rooms are somewhat basic but very spacious. Lovely pool. But WIFI is terrible. Door lock was a pain to open — had to keep playing around with the card a few times. Gym is a small room but useable.

Conveniently located at the center of st Julian, 5 mins walk to the bus stop. The room was spacious and comfortable for a solo traveler like me. Nice reception staffs! A early check in was allowed without extra fee. I also left my luggage for free until the evening on my checkout day.

7 steps to reach the hotel lobby but guy at the desk was nice and helped me with my bags. At 74, I cannot carry heavy bags up/down steps. As I was there for only 7 hours to catch a flight home, not the best judge but staff was very nice. Malta is a happening town, even at 3:30am and the hotel is well located.

Cost Effective Stay The breakfast options were good. The accommodations were ok, the bathroom grouting was poor causing minor leakage. The television service was very spotty.

Great place to stay, fairly convenient location to access most places of interest, has an underground carpark free for guests. Only wishful for the hotel to provide self-service laundry.

Hotel Valentina offers excellent value for the price, with a great balance between affordability and what you actually get. This stay was for an early start at the airport and to be able to attend a concert the previous evening so it only needed to be clean and safe. Which it was. The location is fantastic. You can see the Mediterranean Sea and tourists whenever you go out. The area around the restaurant and bar is bustling. Turn right and there's a flower shop a few dozen meters away. The hotel has a swimming pool on the eighth floor and a bar with a view of the city.

Great balcony view of the harbour that you can see the fireworks and old town. Super close to the ferry. Party music a bit loud next door but ok. Value of money for the stay in Malta, highly recommended.

The staff tried hard to please but the hotel is not 4 star as advertised. The curtains were broken and had been broken for a while allowing the sun in. The airconditioning was noisy and not very efficient. The pool closed at 6.00pm in the middle of summer.

This hotel is located in the Paceville area, so it attracts a lot of young people looking to party. This means they can be a bit noisy at times. The hotel has a rooftop pool. Our flight was very early, and we asked if they could prepare a breakfast to go for us, which they did. They were very kind and accommodating.

The hotel is well-located, close to the sea and approximately a 4-minute walk to the beach. The room was only partially cleaned, and toiletries were completely missing. I requested face towels at the front desk, but they were never provided.

Overall very good experience. The room was much more than I expected for the price and it was very comfortable. The location is great, since the hotel looks towards the sea which is so pretty. Maybe the only downsides was that at times the breakfast area as well as the elevator were a bit crowded, but other than that all was perfect.

I’m had a single room with balcony and sea view booked.  The location was great - Valetta a bus journey away as was Mdina and Rabat.  Bus service is excellent. The room was adequate for me.  However the noise from the road and downstairs bar was not good.  Glass doors ineffective for noise screening.had to buy earplugs.  Also the cleaning was sporadic and I had to ask everyday for my room to be cleaned...

Brilliant location close to amenities and beautiful views.

The hotel doesn't look like in the photos. All pictures should be updated. Rooms are very, very old stylish, should renovated.  Furniture should be replaced. The hotel is really good located, however if you don't have the most expensive rooms you don't have any view. Food was good however the same every day. It was more like English Breakfast.

After reading the reviews here, I almost cancelled my reservation, but I'm glad in the end I didn't! I thought the hotel was pretty ok for the price, with excellent breakfast, the room wasn't super modern, but it was nice and clean, nothing was broken, there hot water kettle, the balcony was nice, it was possible to see the sea. I do not fully get the negative reviews. Yes its not the perfectest hitel on the Planet, but for me personally it was very nice. The rooms were ok for a 3 star hotel. The pool and sauna were working, the pool is small for the number of guests, but again, the hotel has 3 stars. The view from the roof of the hotel is phenomenal. They take a deposit of 150e so be prepared for that. We did not see anywhere on the website that it says about a deposit. The staff is ok, they change towels every day.

Excellent location, very friendly staff.The single room had no natural light , so is like a cave .It does say on web site, it has no window, but the reality was very claustrophobic. I only stayed the one night , so just used the room to sleep in.

Amazing location and friendly staff. The room is small but comfortable. It’s an old hotel that feels run down. The rooms feel dated and tired and the place has seen better days but it’s comfortable for a short stay. The main issue is the thin walls. You can hear everything from next door and the halls so definitely don’t stay here if you’re a light sleeper.

The rooms need updating: walls need to be repainted & mold remediation. We wish we had known there was only a tub, no stand-up shower; I would have brought bathtub-appropriate products. The walls are thin so it was hard to not he waken up or skeep early. The housekeeper wakes you up by 9am "to collect the towel". It is annoying at times since they don't even clean until 1pm. But location is good and room was big. They only leave 1 towel too.

Not the best bathroom and the equipment such as kettle for a simple tea doesn’t exist even. Doesn’t even have a wisdom to live the glass out of toilet for drinking water from tap
