Central location in Valletta; friendly staff; spotless room; excellent breakfasts; interesting room design. Only downside - noise from the street until the wee hours of the morning.

We had an incredible time - rooftop hot tub with the cathedral right next door was a must!

Second room#5 was the best.
The third nights room had smells and had to climb to my sleeping area. Middle of the night had to find my way down to the washroom going steep stairwells….

Casa Ellul is a small gem with an excellent restaurant. The chef was able to devise an outstanding dinner for us based on our vegan requirements. The staff were extraordinarily helpful, even coming around a tea time with treats. The location is in the historic part of Valleta but is still very quiet. Recent renovations have restored the character of the building with a modern touch.

Although I only stayed for one night, the service and breakfast were quite good. I arrived in the middle of the night and contacted the hotel for pick-up in advance. The hotel's arrangements were very appropriate. When we arrived, a handsome driver was waiting with a sign. Thank you to the hotel for the arrangement.

Totally beyond my expectation!! From the smiley face welcoming us when we first walked in to the home made turndown macarons to the breakfast (the chef even peeled the tomato skin!); everything impressed me. We stayed two nights in the Casa and it is my first time staying in the Valetta. The hotel focuses on service details!!
Superb location - 10 to 15 mins walk to the bus terminal/ upper and lower Barrakka garden/ the ferry pier with easy access to bars, restaurants, and shops. The building itself is historical and we love the design of the room. The big in-room safe provides extra secure.
But what I love the most is the team. Everyone at the reception and during breakfast service has been super amazing. Special thanks to Peter who performed the room orientation upon check-in, Matthew who assisted me with luggage and escorted me to the uber pick up point upon departure, the pretty lady Sladjana with a big smile and endless jokes that made my day, and Renniel who helped fix the issue of the basin stopper.
Highly recommend Casa Ellul to everyone. Dont miss the wonderful breakfast in the morning!
