Reviews
Personnel was all Indian or Filipino, no Maltese in sight. They were not very welcoming as if they hated to be there and just doing their hours, barely spoke English as well.
The food was extremely disappointing.
Always the same and bad quality. Same with the cocktails that were included, chemical and B brand.
To my astounding, most things you had to pay extra for?????
All inclusive = all inclusive.
Not some inclusive, I booked ALL inclusive. Capital ALL.
Most bars and restaurants were not included in the all inclusive, only 1 bar and 1 restaurant, and 2 restaurants you had to book. The rest were not included in the all inclusive package. No idea how on earth that is possible.
Horrible experience and I won't go here ever again.
The accommodation is located across the road but along the seafront and walking path. Beautifully situated. A small number of people were swimming- this being January after all.
Public buses stopped about 1 block away serving all parts of the island. Should I travel here again, I would be strongly tempted to make this area my base. The public bus system is excellent and very reasonably priced. I could cover most of the major sights going on day trips.
To counter some of the strong positive points just raised the breakfast area is very congested between 08:00-09:00 but there were always tables and no shortage of food. Similarly the elevators are congested at peak times. Finally public transport is heavily used again during peak times. I am a senior with somewhat limited mobility and I generally found the buses had sufficient seats available for limited mobility persons
To sum up, this area and this accommodation would be on my itinerary when I return to Malta.
We stayed at Quara Hotel for 5 nights on an all-inclusive package, and unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating due to very poor organization around dining.
The main buffet restaurant (Da Villa) is supposed to be the primary dining hall, while the other specialty restaurants require reservations. We booked the Japanese restaurant through the reception for our family, but when we arrived, the supervisor told us we were not booked for everyone. When I explained that the booking was done by the reception, she simply said it was not her problem. This is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.
The biggest disappointment happened on New Year’s Eve. We queued to enter the main buffet restaurant (Da Villa), only to be told that we had to book dinner and even lunch in advance. When we tried to check the system it showed there was no space available even though we were standing right there waiting to eat! We have stayed in many all-inclusive hotels and normally the main buffet does not require booking. Only special or themed restaurants should need reservations. If reservations are required, the hotel should clearly inform guests, or the reception should organize it properly. None of that happened here.
Everything was very confusing, badly managed, and caused unnecessary stress during what should have been a relaxing holiday. The location is great and some of the staff are friendly, but the lack of communication and poor management completely ruined the experience for us.
We would not choose to stay here again, and I would not recommend this hotel unless they seriously improve their organization and guest communication.
A couple of small downsides: the room walls are quite thin, so outside noise carries easily, and there’s a €10 deposit required for a gym towel to use the gym. Still, overall, it was a great stay and I’d happily return.
Not happy ,food poisoning.
The only thing is the cleaners can make less noise with the furniture when cleaning, we struggled to sleep because of the constant noise, rather than pulling the chairs hard it can be pulled easy to consider guest, the bathrooms are clean but can use an air freshener its has a funny smell.
I would definitely recommend and we'll be back, plan to walk with a freshener for the bathroom 🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰
