Hotels with sea view in Valetta

We stayed one week at the hotel Excelsior at the end of November, and I have no words to express my gratitude to everyone who made our stay such a wonderful experience! From the reception team, the young, tall doorman who always paid special attention to our 3-year old boy, the cleaning staff, to the restaurant crew — everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely polite

And the food at the hotel restaurant was so good that, even though we usually enjoy eating out, we often chose to dine in. Overall, we warmly recommend this hotel

Our suite was so spacious and comfortable that we sometimes preferred staying in and relaxing over going out

Bed frame peeling 😩 If you go for a swim in the pool there are no showering facilities or changing rooms prepare to pay €15 to use them along with the small sauna or walk back to your room with wet swimming costume

Shower was far from a power shower with cheap shower curtain. Loose floor tiles without grouting. Phone had obviously fallen of at some point and just plastered back on with paint

Breakfast was very basic and not very tasty just mass produced cheap produce. If you want an espresso you need to pay extra only standard filter coffee and tea available

Friendly tip for future guests If you’re planning to stay between January and April (low season), it may be better to book on the spot rather than far in advance — prices can be more attractive

From the very beginning everything was smooth — early check-in was arranged without any issues, which we really appreciated. Communication with the staff was perfect: friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming

Breakfast is good: it offers classic English options alongside a selection of croissants, pastries, and other sweets. A plus is the spa, the gym and the pool. Overall, a solid choice for a central stay in Sliema

The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was particularly spacious and well-equipped. The only downside was the lack of hangers, so I had to keep my clothes in the suitcase

Housekeeping deserves special mention for the lovely details — towel origami elephants and flowers, plus small welcome gifts, which made the stay feel extra special

The breakfast was super tasty, fresh, and well presented. The facilities are amazing, very well maintained, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel is excellent

Sensational location an easy walk to old city and just about everything you could want. Pool is terrific and very welcome after walking the sights on a hot day. Food and service was first class too

The Palm Court bar offers live music several nights a week, while the Bastion Pool is the perfect spot for a romantic sundowner and the visually ideal link between past and present in Valletta, being built on the Bastions of the city itself

The location was awesome and so close to everything! We thoroughly enjoyed the relax time by the infinity pool with an incredible view of the marina. The staff at the pool were so friendly and attentive

The grandeur was unique Restaurants are lovely with very good menus Palm Court lounge was very big and spacious with excellent service all Club bar was a great place to end the day Staff were very attentive Views were very good because of the elevation

Got it all ! Simply put, its one of the classic elegant properties in the heart of the old city, but peace and quite once you get into the hotel. Frequently the sounds of cannons maybe heard but added character

What we missed was storage space for our citybreak luggage, we had to keep everything in the two cabin trolleys because there were no shelves to put anything on. The nightstand drawers were used for socks and underwear

Since our return flight was at midnight, they kindly stored our luggage after checkout and even arranged access to the pool shower so we could freshen up after spending the afternoon and evening enjoying the city

I would definitely recommend this hotel, and next time will also book a table for dinner, if the breakfast was an indication of the level of the output from their kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff too

The hotel is in walking range of everything interesting. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, especially the Eggs Benedict that everybody takes photos of, and for good reason

There is a small swimming pool and Gym at the basement. Although it was very small swimming pool I really enjoyed swimming in the evening. The staff were very friendly and thoughtful

There is a lounge at the ground floor with TV, coffee, tea and cold water. We used this lounge to relax and we filled our water bottle with cold water before we went out every day

Hydra spa is relaxing. There are two pools one in a garden setting and one by the sea - each have their own charm.

Air conditioning worked well but was noisy at night. Hotel had two pools one overlooking sea and Valletta. We had "dine around" eating with good selection of restaurants

Great hotel! The bad reviews of this hotel is mainly based on the cheap 4-star sister hotel. At the 5-star hotel, we stayed in the luxurious spa bedrooms with private pool. ❤️

Sleima and itis next to sea front

Apparently they are closing it next year according to the holiday rep and this would make sense as the rooms needed updating and the food needs improving. The front of house staff were not very friendly

Nice hotel, superb view at Valetta acros the boulevard and harbour from seaside rooms. Lobby quite small and a bit outdated. Shopping mall 'The Point' around the corner with supermarket at the -1 level

The hotel is in the center of the ancient town. The rooms are beautifully designed. The service staff is enthusiastic. There is a beautiful swimming pool on the roof. The scenery outside is very beautiful

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Very nice experience stayed at this hotel and will definitely return next time. Great location, 2 minutes walk you will get to all the tasty food restaurants. Breakfast is good too.

The room is spacious, well-structured, and decorated in a fresh and elegant style. The most important thing is that the rooftop view is first-class, facing the cathedral

One of the highlights of our stay was spending peaceful days on the rooftop terrace and by the pool. Although it was sometimes tricky to find available sunbeds, we managed to snag a couple on a few lucky occasions

Quick stop here for dinner with views. Beautiful roof-top bar and pool, amazing view. Luxurious interior decoration and lots of friendly staff at the roof top bar. Delicious food, great ambiance after a busy long day

Breakfast is served on the rooftop, and the view is also first-class if you have dinner on the rooftop. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and thoughtful. It is the best choice for a hotel in Valletta

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was delicious and offered a great variety, ensuring a perfect start to each day. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the superb rooftop view of the harbor

Extremely convenient location (but no car park - you can park at one of the free car parks about 10 mins walk). Beautiful room and charming staff. The spa and massage sessions were solid

The rooftop bar was nice and inexpensive. One criticism: The breakfast was a little average and the coffee was absolutely appalling. That said, the manager was really lovely and was certainly a star of the restaurant

The amazing relationship of all the staff, starting from the administrator - Alexandera -!!! (😊professionalism and friendliness, which is beyond praise) to the staff in the kitchen, a very comfortable room with a Maltese balcony, and a very atmospheric design of the entire hotel

The most beautiful hotel I Have ever been in there designer is amazing colour choices and decor, the thing that was disappointing was the noise ot the church bells through the nite and working early in morning in hotel

Great location, warm staff, beautiful room. Walkable to everything that matters in Valletta. It’s also near the Valletta-Sliema Ferry Terminal. I also loved that the bus terminal is about 10 mins away

Great experience! The hotel is close to the city center and has a bus station nearby, making it easy to get to other cities. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of variety.

Everywhere very clean + instant coffee, tea, kettle and 2 free water bottles are in the room. The breakfast was varied and sufficient, there were never any waiting times

Had a wonderful stay here: staff is terrific, location is the best and the hotel is very clean (cleaning lady is small but great at the same time!)

Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. The rooms are in great condition, and the view is stunning. Great location and numerous ways of transportation (ferry, bus, etc.) and a lot of restaurants near the hotel.

Amazing location and friendly staff. The room is small but comfortable. It’s an old hotel that feels run down. The rooms feel dated and tired and the place has seen better days but it’s comfortable for a short stay

Breakfast was incredible, the location of this hotel (and the St John's) could not be better so either way you will be in very premium location in Valetta in the middle of everything

From arrival you are treated like royalty, the staff does everything in their power to make you feel premium. We got a room with the in-room sauna and I must say it was a joy

We booked for the St John's but upon arrival we were kindly told we had been upgraded so I guess this review is for the Roselli

The Roselli is a 5 stars and therefore a little more expensive, however, if you can afford it I would absolutely recommend to stay there

This hotel is truly unique! Staying in a 400-year-old building while enjoying top-notch service was a real treat. They brought us small snacks twice a day, and there's a lovely little outdoor pool on the rooftop

A unique, highly curated and well thought out hotel. One of the coolest I’ve been to. And far from the touristy hustle bustle. The u aground spa and rooftop pool was the highlight.

An excellent boutique hotel in the heart of old town Valletta. All staff were super accommodating and friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was excellent and the roof terrace was great.

A wonderful boutique hotel in Malta. Such easy access to all the sights and coastline of Valetta. Really friendly and helpful staff, wonderfully decorated

But the best thing is the rooftop terrace, perfect for a glass of wine and just watch the boats pass by. Cannot recommend highly enough

The only slight negative was the sound of water trickling in and off every night Loads of restraunts and bars a few minutes walk

Well equipped room Bottle of wine was a nice touch to have on roof terrace. The ladies who do the breakfast were excellent

Short one night stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing view from my room. The location is superb, right on the beach, very clean room, comfy bed. Highly recommend this hotel in Birzebbuga.

Lovely new beach-side elevator building. Room was clean, modern, with a balcony overlooking the water and the nearby container ships. The sandy beach is literally steps away

Public bus transportation goes almost to the doorstep. There is a ground-level restaurant which offers a 10% discount to people who have a room in the hotel

It would be very good to have some Halal food provisions too for breakfast so Muslim guests can also enjoy all the breakfast items on offer

Room ok, a bit tight, does the job but nothing more. Clean with lovely view on Malta Freeport.

Have refrigerator and 2 small water bottles. Sockets in the room are UK type. But it havs 1 that work with my adapter (EU) Bathroom were old and rusty. Provided tubes of showergel , shampoo and small soap

Breakfast room on the 5th floor, spectacular view of the harbour. Food were simple, bread, bacon, yogurt etc. Staffs were nice, good service. It's a shame for location with so poor condition of the room

However, my room served its purpose. It was a decent size & had a fridge. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping everything clean. The tub was old, but there was always hot water & good pressure

Additionally, it’s a straight walk up from the bus station & a funicular ride down to the ferries. They were all very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. As others have said, the rooms are dated

Old Way to do warm water, needs to mix hot and cold in right temperature to not burn you. And it's a bit stinks from those drain. Overall it's ok to think that we just 1 night stay here

There is A/C, but it’s not that easy to work. You can see the buttons on the wall in the pic I attached. It was the same every day, but that worked for me

The stuff are really nice people, ready to serve you and guide you if you need information. The rooms are very spacious and really very clean. From the terrace of the hotel you can take photos of Valletta at night

The staff was warm and friendly. Our room overlooked the grand harbour and from our balcony we could see the boats pass by. We also had a clear view of the firing of the cannon Close to everything

We had two extra enclosed balcony areas, one for luggage and the other looking over the bay with a table and 2 chairs, were we could open the windows and sit with our drinks watching the ships/fireworks (it was a bank holiday) Never seen such fantastic fireworks

The setting of the hotel with many rooms looking out onto Grand Harbour make it an exceptional place to stay which is further enhanced by the rooftop patio where one can enjoy refreshments whilst soaking up the exceptional ambience

The breakfast is help yourself but a good choice of cereals,fresh fruit,yogurt, pastries, ham & cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon,sausage beans, tomatoes & toast. Would recommend and was surprised it was only a two star

The staff and service are excellent and the hotel is maintained to a very high standard. Whilst close to the centre of Valletta be prepared for quite a few steps and slopes

We had a wonderful time in this hotel! The staff was very friendly, our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean and the pool and sauna area was amazing as well. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Malta.

Land's End has a great view and a fantastic location. We were close to the ferry to Valletta, the other tour operators, and so many restaurants. Front desk was staffed 100% of the time. It was great, but not perfect

We were told to leave the sliding glass door open (December) for cooling. After a couple nights we complained of mosquito bites: then they turned on the A/C. It didn't swing open on its own, but it didn't lock, either

The hotel is located in the Slieme district. There are nearby many options from food to clothing with a shopping center. It is on the seaside and it gets busy and crowded at night

We had a wonderful stay at Lands End Boutique Hotel! The place is very cozy and perfectly located — an ideal base for exploring Malta and the nearby islands. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout our visit

Balconies offer great view of the sea and Valletta. Requested to split the double bed right after check-in and was assisted by the team promptly

I would recommend staying here without reservation, and will be back!! Just know that it is on a stepped pedestrianised lane so you can’t be dropped off / picked up directly outside - not a prob for me - but you need to be able to drag or carry your luggage to the door

Excellent hotel, lovely welcoming staff. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Great location, very near the Gozo fast ferry and easy to explore the city

What a FABULOUS little hotel! Perfect location for exploring Valletta, and within 10min walk of the main tourist attractions, the fast ferry to Gozo, the boats to the 3 cities and the main bus station

The hotel was clean, breakfast was very good and the staff went above and beyond.

The staff were very lovely friendly and helpful. There is stairs you must take to hotel but lift at the hotel. In saying that departing (upstairs) they staff helped me with luggage and to meet bolt
