We arrived around 4pm and there was no one to greet us. Luckily, the front door seems to be open 24/7 ( not ideal ) so we could just walk into the apartments and used the WiFi to make contact. The apartment was very run down, the bathroom door wouldn't close, the bedsheets didn't fit our bed ( two singles covering the double mattress and we were given two singles for our top sheets) and they were stained. The towels were very hard. WiFi was patchy, blind on the door was broken. There weren't many sockets and some didn't work, we unplugged the TV to use the socket and it tripped the light.. Only positives were the Aircon worked and there was a balcony. We had one crappy nights sleep and the next morning just after 9 we had a knock on the door, we were asked for our passports. We were told they need to bring them to some tourist organisation to pay the tourist tax etc. ( We were aware of this however all other accommodation/hotels were able to do this onsite) we offered alternatives such as us going along or could she not just take a picture of the passports etc but no this wouldn't do apparently. We werent uncomfortable giving up our passports for an unknown amount of time. Gabrijela was very rude about this and told us to go do it ourselves. At that point it was the last straw, we wanted to leave so messaged our host who asked our reasons. We replied but received no response and so left that evening.. having paid for 6 nights we only stayed one and were offered no alternative or any money back. Awful accommodation, awful service and honestly it's not worth it.
