We really loved our stay. This riad really is a hidden gem. The entrance is unassuming, but it is truly remarkable once you step inside. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and Ayoub was very friendly and helpful. We found the rooms quiet, allowing a good night's sleep. It is very difficult to find the location so I would suggest hiring someone to help you find it the first time. Then, it is a good idea to pin the location on whichever map app you use. Note that in Google Maps, there are two Dar 7 Louyat locations, but they did not show up at the same time for us. One is close to correct, and the other is very incorrect. So you may want to pin the exact location at the entrance rather than the Dar 7 Louyat location listed on the map.

From the time we arrived outside the Medina, the staff treated us like family. Ayoub took care of every detail and saw to all of our needs. The hotel itself is just lovely, with a beautiful and relaxing rooftop where we had a fabulous daily breakfast prepared by Fatima and Meryem. They also went out of their way to reheat leftovers for us that we had from some delicious lunchtime meals, as well as a specially prepared feast on our last night! The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and decorated in beautiful Moroccan fashion. We really enjoyed our time in Fez.

Dar 7 Louyat is a truly special place. The riad is stunning, full of history and charm, and perfectly located in the medina. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and made with love. We left feeling relaxed, inspired, and deeply grateful. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Dar 7 Louyat for 6 nights. It is a wonderful riad, and we would definitely stay there again on a future trip. The staff (especially Ayoub) were very friendly and helpful. Ayoub helped us arrange for private cars when we needed them for day trips and train station transfers. Breakfast is included and was delicious: coffee, mint tea, fresh OJ, eggs, Moroccan breads/pastries and cheeses. We only chose to eat dinner at the riad for one night (because we wanted to try local restaurants) but that meal was also excellent. When we arrived in Fes, Ayoub arranged for a car to pick us up at the train station and then escort us to the riad. This was very helpful because the riad is located in the middle of a maze of twisting alleys that our GPS did not recognize as streets. It would have been difficult to find on our own. Once we were there and could find landmarks, we never had trouble getting back on our own. The rooms are clean and comfortable but also gorgeous with high ceilings and lots of beautiful wood and tile details.

An Arab homestay with a unique atmosphere. The hygiene and service are very good, needless to say. The original alleys are winding and secluded, and we walked into a tall and magnificent palace-like space. It was our first time to Morocco, and we chose it based on the pictures. It is especially important to emphasize that the manager actually taught himself Chinese to reach a basic communication level. His half-dumb Chinese mixed with our half-dumb English was very harmonious and did not feel like a hike. I stayed in Fez for two days and was very happy. It was great

My friend and I stayed here the 3 nights we were in Fez. In all we stayed in 4 different riads in Morocco. This riad was lovely, the decor on the ground floor is absolutely beautiful. It’s on the smaller side compared to other places we stayed, and a little less polished in general, but it was great for us. It was extremely quiet, in fact, we were the only guests, which I don’t understand as it is a lovely place, but Fes was kind of quiet. When we got there, they offered us a room directly off reception, but we wanted more privacy so they gave us a room upstairs. The beds were the most comfortable of the trip, there was hot water and the plumbing worked. Lol. We got great service and 1 evening had dinner there, a delicious lamb tajine. Note: you need to let them know by 4PM if you want dinner, but though we didn’t do that they accommodated us with a small delicious meal when we checked in. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast on their remarkable rooftop terrace. The setting and the food was the best breakfast we had for the entire trip. I miss it every day! As others mentioned, the last few alleys leading to the riad are isolated and not for everyone, but we were fine. I’d stay again!

This review is for Susu, a very good housekeeper, warm and hospitable, and left us with a very good impression! The hotel is like a castle, with twists and turns outside and a different world inside. The breakfast is full of ritual, but the winter in Fez is really cold, and the room must be heated for guests!
