Reviews
My belief is firm: the heart and soul of any truly memorable experience are its people and staff. In this regard, my stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Aymane is not merely an incredible host; he is a maestro of hospitality, ensuring my family felt a profound, genuine sense of 'home' from the moment we arrived.
The entire front desk team—especially Omar, Ghita, and their colleagues—are certified superstars, consistently demonstrating a level of warmth and professionalism that is exceedingly rare.
Finally, the housekeeping staff deserve a special, resounding applause. Their dedication to comfort and pristine conditions was truly phenomenal and added an unseen layer of luxury to our visit. They are all the reason this place shines!"
Surprisingly many issues have been complained by previous review...
1. No small spoons for yogurts.
2. Three ID card, one of them not function at all.
3. Triple room with only two beds, after noticing, a bed is placed, after second notice, the sheet is placed.
4. Overall I don't think that they did prepared for a triple room even we booked one.
5. Bathroom isn't functioned completely.
6. No clear sign for two side of building and other hard to understanding design.
7. Lots of the issues have been mentioned by previous review, dead id card, small spoons, etc.
These issues seems easy to fix, and previous comments do get replied, but yet they haven't been solved. So bad attitude I guess.
8. Poor breakfast selection: I have breakfast at 7:20, 70% seats are taken, and everyone has a yogurt on their table. I'm lazy to explain what was on the table, but the dish selection is the fewest of the hotels I visited this trip.
Overall bad.
1. We booked a pool facing room with a balcony but they tried to give us a room facing the parking area. We had to ask them to change it.
2. When we entered the room there was no towels or coffee cups in the room. We had to call reception twice to request it & it only arrived a while later. The next day the towels were changed but a bathmat wasn’t supplied. On the third day they took the towels when we were down for breakfast but didn’t replace them. When we asked reception to send some up, they said the towels are being washed & will be supplied later! I insisted on having it immediately as we needed it, but they only bought two bath towels and no hand towels or bathmat again.
3. The worst experience was probably when we tried to have lunch in the main restaurant but was told it was reserved only for a visiting football team & sent to the “snack bar” at the pool, which was the only other restaurant open. We booked a five star hotel because we wanted to eat at good restaurants during our stay in Fez, & the website states it has FIVE restaurants, but we could only see 3, of which only the main one & the pool bar was open during our stay. Even though it was school holidays and high season. We then went to the pool bar where every dish we asked for on the menu was not avalable. We had to leave and get fast food at the local shopping centre for lunch. Service like this is totally unacceptable in a five star hotel. NO guests should be prioritised above others, doesn’t matter how IMPORTANT they are thought to be.
4. We had breakfast every morning at about 9 am in a restaurant that looked like a bomb has hit it! Every table was dirty and covered in plates and uneaten food & we had to wait for one to be cleaned for us. There was no plates or cutlery available- we had to ask for everything we needed.
5. When we returned to our room from breakfast on our last day, our room card has already been cancelled. We had to go back to reception to get it activated again and got changed just before we left to check out before 12. One of cleaners entered our room, without knocking, when I was standing naked in front of the cupboard! They were obviously notified by reception that we had already left, even though we hadn’t even checked out yet.
6. We requested to speak to the manager twice at 14.30 & 16.00 and were told he hasn’t arrived yet.
We have therefore decided to write this review as we couldn’t report it to the hotel directly.
I have to add that the staff was very friendly and kind and tried to help, & it was very clear that this substandard service was due to ineffective bad management. If the manager puts his foot on site, he will be aware of all of these short comings in his hotel.
So nice
Hygiene: The hygiene is very clean and standard.
Environment: The hotel is in a very good location, right next to the main road, very convenient to the old city and the new city. However, the road is under construction, so there is a lot of smoke and dust.
Service: The service is very good, and you will be served free tea when you enter the hotel.
