Hotel Atlas in Fes

We booked a block of rooms for our big group and everything was excellent. The staff went above and beyond (Brahim and Yassine rock!) — so genuinely kind and available nearly round the clock for us. The breakfast buffet is great, delicious with lots of options. But again, it was the warm, friendly staff greeting you in the morning that made it extra special. In fact, I watched all the staff provide thoughtful service to guests throughout the comfortable lobby, pool lounge, and restaurant— wherever people wanted to dine and relax, they were attentive and helpful.

Three of us visited the spa. The hammam service was a serious scrub and I was happily surprised by how good the massage was. I actually think this was the best combo massage-scrub I’ve had in Morocco. The woman who took care of me is a miracle worker. And, the cooling plunge pool after felt awesome.

We had only one maintenance issue while we’re here — sticky buttons on the AC control — but they fixed it within 5 minutes of us calling the desk. And the AC gets COLD! Rooms are quite spacious and beds are comfortable. Housekeeping service was excellent, they restocked my tea every day and the rooms are immaculately clean. I liked the high-quality soaps they provided. WiFi worked very well.

Note, it’s a touch far to be walkable to the medina, but the neighborhood has lots of great casual dining options, and it was pretty nice to walk on some more relaxed streets after spending all day in the busy market. It just felt like a safe, calm neighborhood where we could really relax. And, we had no problem hailing a cab or using InDrive to get anywhere we needed. Barely a 10 minute drive to the nearest medina gate.

Finally, we had an unexpected illness in our group and needed some special accommodations: support with ground transportation, room reassignment, last minute room service. All of this was provided with kindness and professionalism and it made the whole ordeal so much easier. Their help was invaluable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, especially for big groups! This hotel was good. The room was comfy and spacious and it had a fridge which was great. I stayed here for 2 nights. The breakfast and dinner offered at the hotel was fantastic! The staff unfortunately was not too friendly and yelled at me in another language for bringing a water bottle into the dining area. They demanded I buy a drink instead and refused to allow me to drink my own water. It kind of put a damper on the experience as usually water is free but whatever. The hotel was lovely and there was a nearby supermarket where I got some nice snacks for my trip.

The Hotel Atlas Saiss Fès offers a pleasant stay with a range of amenities that cater to both relaxation and convenience. During our two-night stay, we opted for the breakfast-only, though the hotel also offers dinner. Our room was very nice, and we were fortunate to have a balcony overlooking the pool, providing a lovely view. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. We also used the laundry service, which cost about $25 CAD and was returned promptly. The hotel is well-maintained and everything was very clean. The rooms were spacious, and the bathroom, while large, could have benefited from a vent to help with ventilation. The window in the shower let in some unwanted bugs. The bathroom did have a mild moldy smell. The spa and pool areas were excellent, offering a relaxing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the patio; it was lined with fake grass and the dividers weren't large enough to provide adequate privacy from neighboring rooms. Despite these small issues, our stay was enjoyable overall.
