Riad Noumidya in Fes

great place to stay in Fez, especially if you are looking for:
• a peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful garden and a relaxing swimming pool,
• warm, friendly service and a truly home-like feeling,
• delicious, fresh breakfasts and comfortable, clean rooms.

The medina is about 9 km away, which makes this riad perfect if you are traveling by car. A taxi ride costs around 50 dirhams, so getting there is easy and convenient. Highly recommended!

This former mansion, now a riad, offers generous spaces: do spend a few euro extra for the deluxe room. The bathroom is very large, and the equally large bedroom opens onto a balcony where you could easily fit 30 people, which has a view over the garden and pool. The room was very clean and tidy, and the beds were excellent. The walled garden provides plenty of seating around a large, deep pool. There is quite some background noise from traffic and construction in the garden, but it is still very pleasant for a big-city venue. Apart from the morning prayer call, sounds hardly penetrated the bedroom, even while we were sleeping with an open door. The staff are very friendly, as is often the case in Morocco, as well as the Belgian proprietor. Parking is available just outside the gate on a parallel street, and feels safe. An excellent breakfast is made to order, and the riad also serves dinner with generous portions.

Not often a review has nothing but superlatives, but thats the truth of Riad Noumudiya. Fantastic staff, delightful swimming pool in lush garden, comfortable king bed, cheap taxi fare to city, delicious breakfast included. Great value.

Not one problem during our 5 day stay. From arrival to departure staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful, homely, great service. We arrived on early flight, but room made available for us to leave our luggage and change clothes. Early departure, someone made themselves available. Breakfast you order in advance, but can change daily. Also can order more if hungry. Dinner was home cooked and a must. Riad not near centre but taxi easy to obtain and good price. I cannot rate this Riad high enough. You must visit. We will return.

We stayed in the ryad for 2 night. The staff and owner were friendly and went out of their ways to make our journey a nice experience. The pool and garden are an oasis of rest not far from the busy center (to go to the center of old town you will have to take a taxi though). It is also possible to visit the ‘new fes’ which is not far by foot. The breakfast is superb and we loved eating on the terrace with view on the garden. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We had 3 rooms. 2 in the ryad and the room in the garden. I loved the garden room with direct access to the garden and pool. Keep up the good work!

What a lovely small hotel in Fez. We had to cancel earlier due to the earthquake. Though we had no cancellation conditions we were very welcome a few weeks later. Staff us super friendly. Small and beautiful very safe hotel

Wow! Wow! WOW!!! The Dar is STUNNING! Rooms are spacious and clean. Great selection for delicious breakfast (included in rrom rate) and dinner (surcharge) was yummy. The service is exceptional- staff are very pleasant and friendly, and tried to accommodate all our requests.
Room facing the street gets traffic noise which quietens down around 11pm.
The garden and pool areas are lovely too.
I highly recommend Riad Noumidya.

What a wonderful hotel, it ticks every box for character, comfort and first class service. The public area and pool area are excellent, what a delight it must be to have breakfast by the pool in the morning. (Unfortunately overcast the morning we were there). The staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient and a credit to the riad. Our room, Sophia, number 4, was a really good size and very comfortable. It had a fridge , kettle, coffee machine and TV. There was a large balcony but it looked onto a busy road, (with such a nice pool area this is not an issue). The bathroom was once again a very good size. Breakfast was excellent, fabulous choices and wide selection made the night before. All fresh and really well presented. We went out for something to eat which was a mistake, much better idea to have dinner in the Riad which I'm sure would be very good. They arranged a taxi for us to the airport for 120Dh, only takes about fifteen minutes. This riad is ideal for anyone with a car or wanting to be close to the airport for an early departure. In summary, fabulous riad which was very comfortable and relaxing, ideal as a base if you only want to nip into the Medina and go on day trips. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Great overall experience !
This Riad is calm, clean and well maintained. The proximity to the Medina and the Airport is perfect to relax after a few days walking everywhere. The pool is amazing as well. You can order food and drink wherever you want.
The only thing is the WiFi is not stable.

Stayed for two nights. We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this villa. The decor and design, in the backyard pool is large, clean and beautiful. We were greeted by a very pleasant and charming Zara. The room was clean and with a large terrace. The breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful. In general, we liked everything very much, except for the towels. I would especially like to mention Zara, she was very polite and friendly. Thanks for the great service
