The location is very convenient, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and fairly quiet, with nice views. However, the hallway had a very strong, humid smell that was unpleasant. Amenities were quite limited, and the front desk staff on the first day came across as a bit rude, which affected the overall experience.

I stay 3 night good place stuff really kindly ear to train station De Vlugtlaan Station. Walk 15 minutes. Amsterdam Sloterdijk walk 16 minutes.

Soundproofing is not so good. Big room, near to the station with a lot of tram and bus lines .

Great place to stay near the airport. It’s clean, nice facilities and friendly staff. To offer an early check in, then say it’s an extra €10 seemed a bit unnecessary when the room was actually free already and we didn’t even ask. Also the pillows are massive, could do with a smaller one.

The room was spacious. It took about 15-20 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. Overall, it was a good experience, the only minor downsides were that the hairdryer was a bit weak and no complimentary water was provided.

Free parking in a garage attached to the hotel is very nice and convenient. Rooms are spacious and modern. Nice views and the breakfast was excellent! Easy transport with a bus stop near by or the train station. Walking or biking is also easy to do. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, corner room offers great views of the city. Shower works great! Bar and restaurant staff are slow and do not offer to refill drinks or acknowledge customers but this was the only minus for the property.

Front desk staff was courteous and professional. The corner room on the ninth floor had a great view. Open bathroom is a little strange and toilet is extremely small. Compared to other van der Valk properties this one ranks much lower than others. Very slow internet, little choice of TV stations, no streaming services etc.

This is a nice hotel in a lovely town, just a short stroll to shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. On arrival we were given our room earlier than advertised which was a great start. We had paid extra to have a balcony in our standard room. Unfortunately that balcony gave a view straight out to a busy Construction site. Reception insisted this was what we booked and that this was as advertised...

I have stayed here before when I was in Europe and was amazed to receive the same level of service. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Not the best night’s stay The room was stuffy and there was no air conditioning. The shower was very disappointing - the water that came out of the shower-head more like a dribble! The pillows were lumpy and not very comfortable. Sadly we didn’t spend a very good night at the Tulip Inn.

It was an okay experience. I’ve stayed here before mostly due to the convenient location of being next to the train station, however I feel the hotel needs an update. Light switches were not working properly in the room and it left a tired feel to the property. The management team should consider updating the facilities to reflect most Mercure hotels

The room was big. It is located in the heart of a shopping street. The downside is that the breakfast area is located some distance from the hotel, but it is within the same building. I went there for a conference from 26th to 27th February 2026.

It is my 4th or 5th stay at this hotel. It is good and practical to explore Leiden and get to Schiphol airport. Rooms are big enough for two persons. This time we stayed on the 11th floor. It is more cumbersome to get there as you have to change elevators, but the room was more spacious. The newly renovated reception looks good.

For the 4 nights I stayed, they didn't make up my room before the last night.

A hotel near the river. Very convenient for travel. The restaurant downstairs is crowded every day. The front desk service is quite enthusiastic. I was not satisfied with the booked room, so I was taken to see each one and asked to choose. The overall design of the room looks more like a homestay in my opinion. However, I don't like the overall color tone of the room.

Hoxton offers a unique vibe where it is classy, trendy but homey too. The vibrant vibe of community during the day and quiet atmosphere in room gives it an excellent for those who travels solo. I love the place and it is easy access to the tourist attractions. I will definitely recommend and revisit it in the near future.

It was a beautiful hotel. There were steps in the hotel hallways, making it difficult to carry suitcases. It was conveniently located right in front of the cruise terminal. The cafe was stylish and the food was delicious.

We were lucky to stay at this Swissotel in Amsterdam. When my passport was lost, they went above and beyond to help me find it including letting me to back to the room after check out to look for it, talking to neighboring hotels, and checking security cameras. A fifteen minute walk from the Centraal station but also close to a tram line. The hotel is built inside 'The Passage ' shopping area and is a lovely hotel. We had an excellent room and Bas on check in really looked after us and our room was ready early. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent and the bar had local beers and also a good range of European wine and other beverages....

We came for a weekend stay with family and got a free upgrade to executive suit. The hotel welcomed us with a cosy atmosphere, play area for kids and a breakfast with exactly the right balance of choice, quality and taste. The hotel is in an excellent location in the city centre, near tram and at a historical shopping passage.

Room was rather tired. The sink tap was not in the correct position and the sink plug was sticking and not properly maintained. The glass screen on the shower was sharp and needed a soft edge to mark the position as users could walk into it as it was difficult to see.

Honestly, this was a bit of a let down. When we walked into the room, we were hit with the smell of wet dog. Then the two twin beds pushed together made snuggling impossible - you either lay 1m apart, or you risk falling down the crack. Everything about the room and the hotel was outdated. The lift sounded like the cables were going to snap at any given moment. And the breakfast was kinda average....

The room was not as nice as the photos suggested. The room had no kettle, fridge or bin. Only option was a paper cup and water from the sink. The kettle and bin in particular felt like basics that were missing.

The location of the hotel is good in terms of safety and accessibility as there is a nearby tram (5 mins walk) which made it convenient to explore the city. The room itself was quite tight in space, the bathroom didn’t have that good a ventilation so after a warm shower it felt like I was melting. But all in all, you get what you pay for.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Room is clean and cozy, while the size is perfect for 3 people travelling.
