The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local restaurants and attractions that were within walking distance. The airport shuttle is not available 24 hours as is stated. The breakfast was very good and had many item choices.. The shower was quite relaxing.

Our room was infested with ants. The staff was able to move us to a different room the next day. Otherwise, the location was convenient. Plenty of local eating options. Too bad it rained most of the time we were there. It would be a good spot to stay between cruise arrival and flight home.

Just back from a week at the Empire Hotel. A lovely stay. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was ample and delicious. The room had a small balcony which was lovely for fresh air, but a little noisy with constant traffic. The bed was comfortable and clean. The proximity of the metro was a real bonus. Well done Empire!!

I travelled here with 3 friends for 5 days. Rooms are clean and cleaned daily. They are a bit on the small side but adequate. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. The location of the hotel is not in the nicest area of Lisbon but it is next to the underground station where you can get a €1.50 24 hour travel card which is perfect for exploring the city. Jose and the other staff at the desk gave really good recommendations on places we could go. Thanks for a great stay. Would be an ideal hotel for a short stay in Lisbon

TERRIBLE!!! Don't go! 2 hour wait, bad service. All we got was stale bread. Outrageous. Poor place. Ruined our celebration (8 people). Never going back, and telling our friends and family to stay away. I rarely give poor ratings. This one is the worst by very far!
Friday 8pm dinner turned into a disaster as we sat there and had no food. Bad service, we had to hunt waitresses for drinks. Then they lied our food is coming in 2 minutes, what turned out 30 more!!! One of the dishes never came.
$146 Euro bill was still given to us!!!!!! Manager did not care!
We had a toddler with us. She literally ate stale bread for dinner....
by the time some food came out, we were full of the hard old bread. We even had to ask for more since starving us the motto there.

Nice little bakery where you can also sit down and have breakfast, coffee, a small snack or just dessert. The freshly squeezed orange juice is quite nice. The staff was really friendly but didn't speak much English. Which was fine. Pointing helps. The only card payments accepted are Portuguese debit cards. So if you don't have one, you will need to bring cash. Also, in case you are not familiar with the system, you will need to draw a number before ordering. There are two different types. One is for takeaway, the other one is for eating in.
