Novotel Lisboa in Lisbon

Overall the hotel environment was quite nice, and the general facilities were acceptable. However, there were a few issues that I hope the management can take seriously.

Firstly, the listing indicated that there was a swimming pool available. However, upon arrival I was informed that the pool is seasonal and was not open during my stay. This information was not clearly communicated beforehand, which was disappointing.

Secondly, the air conditioning system did not seem to function reliably. During the two nights of my stay, the room temperature was not very comfortable, even though I set the temperature as low as 14°C.

In addition, there was an unpleasant smell coming intermittently from the ventilation outlet, which made the room environment less comfortable.

Most importantly, after returning home, I developed a skin rash and was diagnosed with scabies by a doctor. While it is difficult to determine the exact source, this condition may have been related to the accommodation. I strongly recommend that the hotel carefully review its hygiene standards and bedding sanitation procedures to prevent potential health risks for future guests.

Aside from the issues mentioned above, the stay was generally acceptable, but I hope the hotel will take these concerns seriously and improve the guest experience.

Travelled to Lisbon for business on a two day trip. This hotel is still going through fairly invasive renovation in the lobby and pool area. The new rooms are really nice, but the rest of the hotel is just a bit of a mess. Would not recommend until completion!
