Great hotel in ideal location. This is one of my default hotels when staying in Dublin due to availability. I was upgraded on arrival and have a lovely view overlooking the park.

Park is at the door and in the basement.

Gym has a new lease of life with ample weights.

I cannot comment on the food as personally I rarely eat on site with so many options on your doorstep but hear good things.

Worth a stay in ideal location with very friendly staff.

On that. One thing I did observe while waiting for an elevator was a member of staff attending to a resident that was unwell. Reassuring them that whatever they needed the hotel would help and accommodate. I’m trying to keep this vague as frankly not my business but highlights the attention and care they place on residents.

Splendid hotel, great location, sumptuous breakfast, excellent service. Highly recommend and will be back again!

Very nice hotel, comfortable, spacious, excellently appointed. Very good staff.

Worth every penny.

The hotel was paid in advance for two guests, on arrival the receptionist told me it was only booked for one guest.
I only had the booking id number. It took two hours to sort the booking.  I don’t know if the confusion was from the hotel or trip?

I have stayed in the hotel for work reasons more than ten times. Breakfast is buffet style with wide range of offerings betwern sweets and salty stuff.
If you want to have dinner by the bar the low sofas is not the best option, and some if the table sizes are quite small.
Rooms are spacious and always clean.
Location is really good.

An absolutely superb hotel. Professional, courteous and respectful staff who will make staying a pleasure. Great dining. Close to all South Dublin amenities. Clean, comfortable rooms overseen by manager Gratzna and her excellent staff. I always look forward to visiting this hot.

The breakfast was plentiful, and the hotel is right next to a park, so the location is excellent.

Herbert Park Hotel – A Quiet Pocket of Elegance in Dublin

Herbert Park Hotel feels like one of those rare Dublin stays where everything slows down just enough for you to breathe. The moment you step inside, there’s a sense of understated calm — clean lines, soft light, and a lobby that doesn’t need to shout to make an impression.

My room was exactly what I look for when travelling: modern, crisp, and quietly stylish. Great bed, spotless bathroom, and a layout that actually makes sense. The views over the park add a small but welcome touch of serenity — you wake up and the world feels a little more organised.

Staff were warm in the way that matters: present when you need them, never overbearing. Coffee in the Pavilion is always a highlight, and the convenience of stepping straight into Herbert Park for a morning walk is something you can’t put a price on.

It’s a hotel that understands rhythm, space, and comfort — nothing gimmicky, just thoughtful hospitality delivered well. A solid base in Dublin, and one I’ll return to.

Excellent Stay in Dublin!
We had a fantastic stay at the Herbert Park Hotel. The location is perfect — peaceful and overlooking the beautiful park, yet just a short walk from the city center and great restaurants.

Our room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile and great local tips.

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh options and excellent coffee. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm, elegant, and welcoming — ideal for both business and leisure.

A little disappointed, the room was very cold as they kept putting on Aircon, which is not needed in September in Ireland. Fine once we rang reception but had to request the room was heated both nights

Excellent place for an evening meal! I had venison, and it was the best I've ever eaten. Staff is very friendly and do whatever they can to make your meal enjoyable and delicious!

Incredible fresh bread made by their bakery and sold for takeaway. I've tried grocery stores, Natural Bakery, Bretzels, Hansel and Gretel, and none of them get bread right like Roly's does. Fresh, seasoned well, soft chewy inside and great crust outside. Perfect.

*edit*: Lordy the lemon meringue pies!!! Best I’ve ever had. Even beats my mum’s!! They know their pastries, even French pastries!

Breakfast and lunch here are fantastic. The sandwhiches and soup is excellent. The service isn't bad either.

Dinner is good but somewhat pricey for the amount of food you get.

The to go coffee is €2 for any size coffee. The baked goods and pastries look amazing. I haven't tried them yet though.

Been going to this place nearly since it opened. Although the food is generally quite good most of the time, the service ranges from indifferent and neglectful to downright rude and offensive. If you want a place to order high-quality food for take-out, by all means enjoy but be careful if you ever show up there unannounced and in search of a quick coffee-and-cake among friends and loved ones: you may as well ask for the moon. The manager was rude and unhelpful and staff completely unprepared for even the simplest of requests from paying customers.
TL:DR: Avoid. Go elsewhere. Preferably somewhere with trained staff.

I just love Roly's they do great food to take away or to sit-down.

Great selection of food all so fresh. Desserts to die for. I adore their cooked chicken it's something I look forward to eating weekly.

A bit too pricey for what it was but a nice old fashioned dining experience all the same

Enjoyed a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary dinner in this elegant upstairs restaurant. Lots of personal service with gentle Irish humour. Nice touch to be shown the platter of fresh fish and seafood to choose our dishes from. Even had alcohol-free beer. Nothing was too much trouble and we were offered a choice of tables for our romantic evening. Food was wonderful and large helpings too. Had the lobster with sole and prawns - amazing. Thankyou for a lovely place for a special occasion.

Very expensive for what was given. Food nice but not amazing. Waiter pushy and made us quite uncomfortable. Much lovelier places to go to rather than here.

Great pasta, tried the special , fish, good pricey, should have stuck with pasta. ??

Location and setting are great. The staff were excellent and very attentive. We had the early bird and the options were good. The food was excellent. My wife had the hake, I had the 4 meats pizza and my child a spicy pizza. The only issue was the price. The total bill including house wine was 120 euro. Expensive for Italian food even in this D4 location.

This is our "go to" Italian place. Food is always exceptional. Service is good. Only thing missing is a fantastic connoli...
28.11.2017 Colm
Excellent food ambiance and service. Pints of Peroni though cost €7.50??
11.11.2017 Gavin
Amazing food and lovely setting. However, experience really taking down a few notches by the manager. She gave out to staff in front of us, ran around the restaurant ruining the otherwise relaxing ambiance and then when we had finished our meal and asked for our coats to leave she asked me, in front of my guest, if I had paid. All very unprofessional.
