ST Signature Chinatown in Singapore

Really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping everything cool and comfortable. Would consider staying again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at ST Signature Chinatown for 3 nights, and overall, it was a memorable and comfortable experience.

First, the location is unbeatable. Situated right in the heart of Chinatown, the hotel is surrounded by plenty of local eateries, cafes, and convenience stores. It’s just a short walk to Chinatown MRT, which made getting around Singapore extremely easy. Popular spots like Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Chinatown Street Market are literally within walking distance, making it perfect for both tourists and short business stays.

The check-in process was smooth and modern, with a self check-in system that was quick once you get the hang of it. It’s a great concept for travelers who prefer minimal interaction and efficiency.

As for the room, it is definitely on the compact side, but that’s expected in Singapore. Despite the size, the room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to maximize space. The bed was comfortable, and basic amenities were provided. It’s very suitable for solo travelers or couples who don’t mind a smaller space and prioritize location over room size.

One of the highlights is the shared facilities, especially the lounge and pantry area. It’s a nice touch where guests can relax, have a quick meal, or even do some light work. The environment feels modern and cozy.

However, there are a few things to note. Soundproofing could be improved, as you may occasionally hear noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. Also, since it’s a self-service concept hotel, those who prefer full-service hospitality might find it slightly lacking.

Overall, ST Signature Chinatown is a great choice for short stays, especially if you value convenience, affordability, and a central location. I would definitely consider staying here again for a quick trip to Singapore.

Very good location which is at the heart of CBD area. Maxwell hawker centre is just a few steps away, even tanjong pagar neighbourhood is approximately walking distance. Room is just nice for a solo traveller, only sometimes noise from the next room can be heard. Pls take note that there is no escalator nor elevator, thats the only draw back i think.

The location is truly excellent, right in Chinatown. There are three or four metro lines within a 10-minute walk, which is super convenient.

You can walk downstairs for a few steps and grab a bite at Ya Kun, and a little further leads you to Maxwell, where there are plenty of food options at good prices.

The room was pretty much as expected. For someone who's out all day and only comes back late at night to shower and sleep, it's perfectly adequate. The soundproofing between rooms is decent, but noise from the hallway depends on other guests' consideration.

I was assigned a room on the 4th floor. Each floor has restrooms; the 2nd floor is for men, 3rd for women, and 4th is mixed-gender. I imagine it might get crowded in the mornings if many people need to shower, but otherwise, it's fine.

I downloaded the hotel's app beforehand. Upon arrival, I just followed the instructions on the sign. There was no need for human interaction throughout the whole process, and opening the room door was done via the mobile app and Bluetooth, so remember to take your phone when you leave the room.

Shampoo and shower gel are provided in the shower, but you'll need to bring your own other toiletries.

Easy access to public transport and awesome location for culture and food exploration!

In this strategic location I believe there’s no such price in Singapore!
Good location clean room and good and friendly staff!
Short distance to MRT China town.
Definitely will come back again if travel with budget

I was pretty satisfied with my stay; it's a great fit for backpackers looking for a private space. The hotel is clean, and the location is convenient, right near the subway station, with Chinatown just across the street. The only drawback was that the bathroom was a bit far and not on the same floor. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10.

Good location if you like the vibe & food in Chinatown/Maxwell food centre.

This kind of hotel is not for me after experiencing it.
Room size for 1 person is sufficient, comfy bed but the shared toilet was dirty at night.

I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay at ST Signature Chinatown Hostel — easily one of the best hostel-style hotels I have experienced in years.
The self check-in process via the app was incredibly smooth and straightforward. Everything you need is handled through the app, making arrival effortless.
The room itself was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped: individual air-conditioning control, a comfortable bed, a small desk with chair, wall-mounted TV, in-room safe, and a handy counter space for organising clothes and toiletries. There was also ample room to slide luggage neatly underneath the bed.
The staff are exceptionally friendly and responsive. When I accidentally dropped my towel in the shower and it became completely soaked, I messaged them through the app. Although they were momentarily unavailable to bring a fresh one, they instantly replied with clear instructions on where to find replacement towels and where to place the used one. Their quick and helpful guidance left me completely satisfied.
The shared kitchen and restroom facilities were kept immaculately clean and well-maintained at all times. Small but meaningful touches like free filtered water and complimentary coffee/tea throughout the day were very much appreciated.
Thank you to the entire team at ST Signature Chinatown for making my stay so comfortable and pleasant. I would happily return and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Singapore.

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to the subway which makes getting around a breeze. The room was spotless and the bedding was really comfortable. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, making check-in and check-out efficient, and they were always quick to help with any issues. Overall, it's excellent value for money and highly recommended. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!
