I stayed there for 6 days. I will.writr this review in pure honesty, and i will divide it into three sections: Rooms, Service and Location.

**ROOMS**

Unfortunately, I encountered 4 main issues in my room. One of the toilets did not work. It was broken. There was no water in the tank to flush. The bulb in one of the restroom did not light as there was no bulb itself. The shower rod was too short, hence, your body rubs to the wall. Beware, the hotel does not store water in case the water stops. If the authority halts water supply during certain time of the day, you will not get water at all. It happened to me between 2pm to 5pm.

However, the positive sides, you have a nice refrigerator, TV, Wi-Fi, a small kitchen with kettle, air conditioner, and materials like soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit and shower gel. Rating: 5/10.

**SERVICES**

There is no porter. One of the personels in the restaurant is not welcoming. However, the rest of the staff was superb. The receptionist takes care of you well. Rating: 8/10.

**LOCATION**

The hotel is close to 4 supermarkets, 2 ATM, 3 restaurants, 1 car rental, 1 money changer, and 3 bustops. Rating: 9/10.

Overall rating: 3/5.

Another special mention to Mr France who is a Seychelles authentic Creole chef. His cuisine expertise is totally being over looked & wasted . Management, please consider expanding your take-away menu to include Mr France specialities such as 100% authentic Creole bouillon brede ( a delicious entree, soup), or his authentic Creole vegetarian lentil creamy soup creation and Banana cake Swiss Rolls.

quiet tranquil area ! secure off the street parking, easy 400 metres walk to Beau Vallon beach! Bonus: Bus Stop located around the corner from the Hotel, near the “Grub” supermarket , a few minutes walk.

*Convenience Stores:
Nearby there are two large supermarkets, two local small shops, a pharmacy & three money exchangers all within 10 minute walk from each other!

*Dining options:
As at August 2025, adjoining restaurants include: Chinese, Creole, Pizza, & Indian cuisine .All nearby, walking distance, with some less than 1 minute walk away!

*Transport
Don’t have a hire car, no worries, take a very affordable Blue Bus!
In August 2025, one way trip costs only 10 Seychelles rupees, however, you have to use a pre-paid Bus card, no cash accepted! The Bus Stop is located an easy 3 minute walk from Coco Dor Hotel!
(Beau Vallon Bus Route include: Bus 20 or Route 22 Circular Service or Route 24) The Buses operate approximately every 15 to 30 minutes week days!

I was thinking of making this a 4 star review, but then I couldn't think of any reason why I should pull a star.. rooms are spacious and well air conditioned - and with a private terrace. Bathroom's equally large and with good water pressure. They have 3(!) restaurants and a bar on the premises as well as a garden and a pool. Supermarket, bus stop and the beach are all within 5 minutes on foot. And every staff I encountered from the night guard and cleaners to the receptionists were super friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again if I came back? You better believe it! The price is also very agreeable compared to its neighbors. Highly recommended.

When walking to the beach we passed this restaurant and saw it also does take away. The next day we ordered grilled fish and vegetable fried rice. The fish was tastefully, the vegetables fried rice was ok, could have more flavors. The guy who took our order was very friendly.

Dirty and lots of ants in the room
I hate to leave a bad review but on this one I can’t really help it. We only stayed one night but even for the short amount of time, we did not have a good experience staying here.

First of all, not clean when we came. There were a lot of black hairs in the bathroom. Then when I tried to take a shower, there was no hot water. So I ended up having to take a cold shower in a dirty bathtub.

Since we were only staying one night to catch our flight the next morning, I figured I wasn’t gonna say something. But when I saw there was hundreds of ants crawling up in our ceiling by the bed, I couldn’t help it.

We got a new room and the lady in the reception was nice but still - I would not stay here again or recommend anyone to, especially not for a vacation.

The service and people was very nice and good service. The room and hotel needed a big renovation and the rooms as well. It was very dirty at the sea with trash laying around and a lot of seaweed on the beach. It’s a very touristy place but not a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches at Seychelles as we the sea was rough do the the western winds.

Really poor. Lacks the very basics.
Location not bad. The staff are very friendly. The rest is very poor; shower, Internet, the pool (if you can call that). Value for money is absolutely terrible. I do not recommend to anyone.

Had a takeaway pizza from Uncle Will's Pizza at Coco D'or. Ordering is easy at the Takeaway desk. The staff were friendly. It took around fifteen minutes for our pizza to be ready. It was nice and hot. Not too pricey. The pizza was tasty. I would order from here again.

Good place, great value for money. Would stay away from their seafood pasta and seafood dishes. Being in Seychelles, we thought there would be fresh seafood. But instead we received food prepared with frozen seafood. A bit of a disappointment. Their burgers and pizzas are wonderful though. A special shout out to the wonderful Coutina (dunno if I got the name right) for serving us.

It is a Indian cuisine. It serves veg as well as Non Veg. The chef is from India and he has worked in prime hotels in India like the TAJ and the Oberoi. The service from this chef is just awesome. The way he decorates the dishes is next level. The taste of the food is so good. There are only 2 Indian cuisines in Seychelles as per the locals and one of them is this one in Coral Strands. It is a must visit for lunch or dinner and the view from the restaurant is so wonderful and sizzling.

Beau Vallon is not known for budget eateries, and while Mahek is pricey it's good value relative to most nearby restaurants. The food is really superb and the service is exactly what you'd hope for: efficient, friendly but not rushed or unctuous
