Reviews
The resort has a very distinct "nautical chic" vibe, which makes sense given it was designed by the renowned yacht designers at Winch Design. It feels more like being on a steady, ultra-luxurious superyacht than a standard hotel.
What Stood Out:
The Atmosphere: It’s sophisticated but not stuffy. The blend of sleek, modern lines with lush tropical greenery creates a very calming environment, perfect for staying focused during a business trip.
The Setting: Located right on the marina, the views of the masts against the turquoise water and the backdrop of the mountains are stunning. It’s a great backdrop if you need to take professional (or personal) photos.
Business Readiness: Despite being a boutique resort, it’s well-equipped. The meeting facilities are professional, and the high-speed Wi-Fi was reliable—essential for someone like me who needs to stay connected.
The Spa: I didn't have time for a treatment, but I walked through the Eden Holistic Spa area. It is a sanctuary of its own, with a beautiful infinity pool and a Japanese-inspired garden walkway that’s incredibly photogenic.
The Verdict:
L’Escale is an excellent choice for a "home base" on Mahé. It is conveniently close to the airport and Victoria, making it ideal for meetings, but the "tropical elegance" makes it feel a world away from the daily grind.

The staff are truly the soul of this resort. Their nonstop support, extreme professionalism, and authentic kindness made us feel not like guests, but like family. Every request was met with a smile, every detail was anticipated, and every day felt effortlessly perfect. The level of attentiveness was remarkable—subtle, refined, and always sincere.
As a honeymoon destination, L’Escale exceeded every expectation. The ambiance was romantic and serene, the service was flawless, and the entire experience felt deeply personal. It was the perfect setting to celebrate love, relax completely, and create memories we will cherish for a lifetime 💙
shout-out to Daniella Savy, whose exceptional care, warmth, and dedication truly elevated our stay. Daniella went above and beyond in every possible way—her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made our honeymoon even more magical. She is an absolute gem and a true reflection of the resort’s world-class standards.
L’Escale Seychelles is elegance, hospitality, and heart in its purest form. We leave with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and one certainty: we will be back.
Highly, wholeheartedly recommended.
An Exceptional Culinary Experience Powered by an Extraordinary Team
The restaurant and bar experience at L’Escale Resort Marina & Spa deserves its own standing ovation. Throughout our stay, every meal, every drink, and every interaction reflected excellence, passion, and genuine hospitality at the highest level.
The restaurant staff and bartenders were phenomenal—welcoming, attentive, endlessly kind, and incredibly professional. They created an atmosphere where dining felt not just refined, but warm and personal. The drinks were consistently outstanding—beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and served with a level of care and flair that elevated every evening.
A special and heartfelt shout-out to Junelle, Hilary Camona, Valentina Houareau, Angelique Volsy, for impeccable service kindness.
Corneille Casmir, Michelle Meriton, Michel Renauld, and Angelique Volsy— your kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. You transformed every drink and meal into a memory. You could teach the best in the world how to make a sex on the beach.
And finally, immense praise for the culinary brilliance behind it all: Chef Yanick, Chef Nigel, and Chef Juan — your cuisine was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was a celebration of flavor, creativity, and precision. The food was consistently outstanding, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying, making each meal a highlight of our stay.
This team doesn’t just serve food and drinks—they create experiences. Their passion, kindness, and talent turned our honeymoon into a true culinary journey we will never forget.
Thank you all for the magic
The SPA, the well-decorated common areas, the food, the location, the respectful staff... everything matches the five stars status of the place.
Thanks a lot we made great memories with you, if one day we come back in Seychelles for sure we will make a stop at L'Escale.
Special thanks to Mister TAHER, first time we saw a GM this involved and attentive.
We wish you the best for the future, take care !
The hotel closed the pool area on both days I was there, once for construction and once for a special event. No concern for paying guests.
We stayed at L’Escale Resort over Easter, hoping to create special family memories. Upon arrival, the experience began on a positive note—check-in was smooth, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The resort itself has an elegant, modern design and initially gave off the impression of a true luxury getaway.
We paid USD 8382 (plus 600 for extra bed) for 6 nights.
However, things quickly took a turn once we entered our room. The lighting control panel was partially broken—only one of the three panels worked. Several lights didn’t function at all, and a power socket panel was damaged. While the rest of the room looked clean and comfortable, these maintenance issues were disappointing for a resort of this caliber.
The following morning, we encountered more problems. Our key card suddenly stopped working after breakfast. We were told this might be because it had been near a phone, which seems like a weak excuse for what is likely a system issue. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of our frustrations with hotel service and infrastructure Disappointing Stay Despite a Promising Start – L’Escale Resort Marina & Spa, Seychelles

Calling the reception from our room rarely worked—no one answered, and even leaving a message led to nothing. I had to physically walk to the front desk just to place a room service order. After being assured the food was “coming in a few seconds,” we ended up waiting 90 minutes for just four Caesar salads and one spaghetti Bolognese. For a 5-star resort, this level of delay is simply unacceptable.
Overall, while L’Escale Resort looks beautiful and has the potential to be an excellent luxury destination, it’s let down by poor maintenance, weak systems, and extremely slow service. Sadly, what started as a promising family holiday turned into a frustrating experience.
