Also incredible location right in the centre of town.

The facilities are a bit outdated and not the cleanest for the price so may not stay again. For example, the doors did not close or lock to the bathroom or the main bedroom. There were not toiletries beyond bar soap and the dishware offered were not clean.

Accommodation in Stary Smokovec
Villa Kunerad is centrally located in the town. It is probably primarily a ski hotel, so not much has been done to make the rooms particularly cozy.

I was not sent any information about checking into the room before arrival. There is no reception, so I had to call the contact person to get information on how to get into the house. There was also not much information about breakfast, paying tourist tax, etc.

Pros: nice building with garden, there is a water stream nearby and kids can play outside.
Contactless check in.
Good location. Close to the heart of Stary Smokovec.

We were not given any informarion upon checkin. A girl alone gave us keys and that's it. Looks like she is the single employee doing all duties on site. Even responding to mails and calls. There is no reception or emergency contact.
Accessibility - we spent 20 minutes to find it by car. There are very small signs on street and only visible from 1 direction. We had to call them 2 times because we saw the place but couldn't find the way in by car. At winter, with icey roads, it can be a problem.
The room:
I think we got the smallest and most problematic room, even though I let them know several times that this is our honeymoon. The "kitchen" is so small, that you cannot move around, have to squat just to throw trash into the bin. Small and very noisy fridge. Very hard mattress, our backs hurt. Noisy plumbing. Every time you opened the water, a gurgling sound kept coming from the sinkhole for 2-3 mins.
No daily cleaning. We were provided with 1 toilet paper roll for 3 night stay. We could not ask for resupply because we did not know whom to ask.
Lack of heating control. Apparently there is floor heating and you cannot regulate it. It is on 24/7. We slept with open windows each night (3C outside...) because the room was so hot...
Thin walls. We practically heard everything happening in next rooms and on corridor. Some people were talking loud even at 3 am.
Wifi: you get max signal but the Internet does not exist. You cannot even load Google search.
And one more: They do not serve earl grey tea at breakfast. :(

The villa could be a much better palce if someone in management or ownership just cared about it and performed regular maintenance. I saw some of these facility issues mentioned in 2 yr old reviews.
