New 3BR with great terrace By CanariasGetaway in Playa del Ingles

Stayed at this hotel for 9 nights on a half board basis in Jan 2026.
Overall had a very relaxing holiday and that was mainly due to the hotel and its staff.
The food was fine - Breakfast was fantastic and dinner was fine.
my only complaint regarding the food was the food labelling. it would have been better.
The room was airy, large and had above average balcony. my only complaint was it could have done with a smart TV.
The swimming was heated, which was great and it had plenty of sun loungers so didnt need to get up at 5 am to reserve.
The staff was friendly and approachable and the pool guy was the friendliest pool person I have ever come across.

The positives :
the staff are all amazingly kind and caring and always happy to help.

The rooms are clean and tidy and lots of space with a lovely balcony
Never had to fight for sunbeds
Clean as a whistle hotel and well maintained
Location is so close to everything
Cocktails are beautiful, I particularly liked the mango mojito

Things to improve
Food was the same most nights, love fish and rice but only so much I can eat. The Asian night was lovely, but apart from that one night the food was the same. And mostly cold.
Entertainment. There is none. Like 0. You would expect a resort like this to have an evening guitarist or singer or something. But the place is ghost town after dinner finished at 10pm as there is no where to sit and enjoy cocktails with light entertainment. You have to go to the other barcelo over the other side of resort for entertainment. Which isnt ideal and also they have kids. We booked adults only so there was no kids.
Pool needs painting. Lots of black marks but nothing too bad
More information needs to be shown. There are guests here that have been here for 2 weeks and have no idea you can go to breeze in the other hotel for a la carte lunch. Or after 3pm you can have a la carte lunch in royal level restaurant. No signpost of what dinner is on each night so you can choose if you are staying in or going out.

What i will say is we have heard amazing stuff about barcelo group in lanzarote and other places so perhaps they need to make this resort a priority as well as your staff and the hotel itself is so worth the effort and will really make this place the best resort in gran canaria with some small changes

We have just returned after 9 nights at The Royal Level. Overall we were delighted with the hotel. Staff deserve special praise as they were all attentive, polite and happy to help. The hotel was not too busy, so the booking for evening meals went by the way. Food was good and we found variety each evening. The Royal level is that bit quieter, which suited us but finding somewhere to sit and have a drink in an evening is limited to a couple of smallish terraces on the Royal Level. You have to go to the sister Hotel for evening drinks and entertainment. Room was good, however quite a large gap around the top of the door let light into the room at night.
Finally, the hotel is positioned some distance from the main centres and beach, so, we did quite a bit of walking on the days we did not hire a car.
Overall, we were happy with our experience and would thank all the staff for looking after us so well.

The hotel is great and we were really satisfied, mainly by the service and the kind approach of the hotel staff.
Rooms: The rooms are super spacious and comfortable. The 2 sections with the bed and the sofa, with the turning TV, make it really comfortable. We were on the 7th floor, and the views were great as well.
Food and services: We had all-inclusive access from the Royal level, which means that you can access restaurants and bars of both hotels. The fitness center is open 24/7, and the spa center was a great addition to the relaxing vacation. The pool service, with the option to book drinks over the app without the need to go to the bar to order, was a great plus as well.
People: the best part of the hotel is the friendly and attentive people who work there; they make you feel that you are welcome, and they give full attention to each guest
Location: The hotel is located in the middle of the city- they provide free shuttle service to the beach and to the dunes. It's a 5-minute walk from the Jumbo center for shopping and nightlife.

Just back from a stay in these apartments ! Room was massive and spotless and cleaned regularly, wifi was €5 for the week for 5 devices and close to beach / shops. The pool is a lot bigger than what the photos show too and it does get quiet sometimes apart from on the odd occasion children being in the pool ! Only thing that the apartments lack is sockets and if you’re arriving late phone the number and security will check you in.

A lovely little apartment complex close to the beach/dunes, we had apt 104 which goes strait out to the pool area. Large sized apt which sleeps up to 3 plenty room to move and has a ceiling fan in lounge. Water 5ltr provided to start you off!! Close to supermarket hiperdino for cheap booze/fags and groceries. Cant ask for better and lovely staff there inc the maids Top tip-- bus stop nearby -take the 32 to puerto mogan for a taste of little venice . Under 10 euro return p.p.

3.5 stars. The apartment was good, situated in a perfect place as everything that we needed was within 5 minutes away. Inside the apartment was a classic Spanish feel although was missing a few things; an oven, a kettle and a working fan or air conditioning. The pool was great and not busy (during Easter) we spent a good few days there as the kids loved it. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable however sometimes the reception was shut when it shouldn’t have been. I would recommend especially during Easter or less busy seasons.

Maba playa the best place to stay when you are a couple a family or just traveling for business. Very clean and well kept place, happy and professional staff there was never a problem when we needed something. Close to the beach, Dunnes and shopping centres as there are couple around the place. A very reasonably priced apartment in an excellent location; on a quiet street – with plenty of on-street parking if like us you’ve hired a car – just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach. For groceries there is a small Spar (Las Camelias) seven minutes walk away, and a larger one in the Yumbo Centre about ten minutes away. The apartment is family owned, and often it will be one of two brothers you’ll meet on reception. Both are very friendly, helpful and welcoming, and speak excellent English, and we ended up having some long conversations. They are decent, honest family people, not in the business to make as much money as they can from tourists, but to create a warm welcome and great stay for their guests. Others have commented on the cleanliness of the property, and the cleaners do work very hard – and with a smile on their face too; the apartment was spotless. And very spacious as well. Top tip: being small the reception is not staffed all hours, so if you’re going to be arriving late in the evening as we were, let them know ahead of time. In our case this allowed the man who was working that day to go home, have dinner with his family and then return later ready for our arrival. If reception is closed when you arrive, just call the number on the door, it was diverting to his mobile. When it’s dark the actual entrance is a little hard to find as it’s a small footpath and there is only a small unlit sign next to it, but it is right off the side of the street; the property itself is easier to spot, as it has a large illuminated sign on the side of the building. Before you book do be aware that the rooms do NOT have air conditioning; the property targets the cooler parts of the year. Amenities in the room are as described in other reviews. As some others have commented, the beds are a little on the harder side. The apartments are very short on electrical sockets, and if you do as we did and push the two single beds together, that’s the one socket in the room that you could have plugged a phone charger into now lost. The microwave which is on a shelf above the worktop in the small kitchen area has to be lifted off the shelf to be able to plug it in, unless you want it half hanging off the shelf for the cord to reach. The reason for the small number of sockets is the age of the property – it doesn’t look it, all all! – ask the owners to show you a photo in reception taken when it was first built; it was just about the only building in the area. One of the brothers told us they are planning to add some electrical provision in the apartments with USB charging points, that would be great. The only improvement we’d have liked to see is that nearly all of the sun loungers around the pool are the cheaper lay-flat-only design, they don’t have tilting, adjustable backs. OK if you want to lie and sunbathe, but not to sit up and read. When we asked about this we were told there were adjustable ones around the property, and a couple w
