Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel in Platja de Muro

We had a great stay at the Prinsotel La Dorada. The accommodation is modern, fully equipped with quality materials. The ground floor 2 bedroom suites with a private heated pool are ideal for a family of 4. Both the spa and gym are great too. April is not too busy and the weather is fair. The restaurants are very good, especially the grill. I also recommend getting the Club Member upgrade which allows you to choose between the restaurants at no extra cost. Last but not least the staff were great, very welcoming and helpful. They know how to take care of you and handled a slight inconvenience with generosity and grace. Special thanks to: Carolina, Daniel, David, Laura, Johana... and I forget other names, sorry guys. Everyone was great. We'll definitely come back to Majorca, most certainly in a Prinsotel.

There is so much that I would like to say about Prinsotel La Dorada. This hotel is incredible – so much so that my family and I have been back there several times. From the moment you walk in the entrance it is clear to see how much work goes in to keeping the standards of this hotel exceptionally and consistently high. You will be greeted by one of the reception staff who are ALL unbelievably helpful. Marisa and Carolina are absolute superstars and could not be more informative about the hotel, the country, activities and much much more (including the occasional free Spanish lesson!). They have an army of support from Ruben, Paula, Hilda, Fran and more who are all as incredible as the last! Dining – we were greeted every breakfast and dinner by Tatiana with a warm welcome and a smile. The waiting staff are brilliant and work tirelessly to keep on top of clearing tables and in the evenings taking drinks orders. Dani has worked at the hotel every time we have been here and he is just absolutely fabulous. Thank you for all that you do – it never goes unnoticed! We also love the new additions to the dining area! Milena is someone else we also need to mention. A wonderful member of the front of house staff who when we arrived at the hotel ran and gave our children the biggest cuddle. Her work ethic is unbelievable as is her attention to detail but always with a smile on her face! This is mirrored by all of the staff in the hotel. Food – keeps getting better and better! Really great variety of food with different themed nights. The cook-to-order omelets in the morning are a winner but there is always something for everyone. How the chefs are able to produce the standard of food they do en masse is really very impressive! Animation team – the entertainment team is utterly sensational. Oliwia and Norbert are worth their weight in gold for all that they do to lead a team of staff in providing engaging and energetic activities for both children and adults as well as captivating entertainment for all ages! Our children absolutely adore Oliwia and Norbert and have done from the first visit when they were 3 and 5 to our last visit where they are now 7 and 10! Thank you to this seasons team, Andrea, Ana, Marlene and Anais for all that you do! The cleaners and the ground staff work unbelievably hard to maintain the incredible cleanliness of the hotel and the impeccable gardens. A heartfelt and special thank you to Manu. Manu has been the hotel manager for all of our visits. The fact that so many of the hotel staff come back season after season is a testament to the culture and the environment that Manu’s management style has created. He truly has a gift for hospitality and creating a family environment for both staff and guests that stay at his hotel. His gift has been recognized and as such Manu has been promoted within the company. He will be missed (as is Marco Antonio!) but he is passing the reins to Daniel who we were lucky enough to meet this year

We recently stayed at Prinsotel Mallorca for our second visit there after having a great time there last year. This time we returned as a group of 16 to celebrate our son’s birthday, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Travelling with a large group can sometimes be challenging, but the team handled everything with warmth, professionalism, and genuine friendliness. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their positive attitude really helped set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding throughout our stay. The rooms, communal areas, restaurants, and pool spaces were all impeccably maintained, which made us feel comfortable and well cared for at all times. It was clear that great attention is given to keeping the hotel spotless. I would like to say a special thank you to the guest Manager Corolina, she did everything she could to attend to our family needs without hesitation. She was smiley, kind and genuine and made our stay beyond welcoming and memorable. She truly is passionate about guest experience and doesn't hesitate to ensure the highest standard are applied for the guests. One of the highlights for our family was the kids’ club. The activities were well organised, engaging, and run by enthusiastic staff who clearly love what they do. Our children looked forward to attending every day, giving both kids and adults the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. The evening entertainment was equally impressive, offering something for all ages — lively, professional, and a wonderful way to end each day together. Andrea, Ana, Richard (also another lovely lady I can't remember) was excellent. Andrea and Ana in particular went the extra mile with the children and we felt like they were part of our family and are very grateful for their warmth and kindness. The food selection was another standout feature. There was an excellent variety available at every meal, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences, with fresh, high-quality options that meant everyone in our group always found something they loved. The facilities overall were fantastic, with plenty of space and activities to suit families, couples, and larger groups alike. They also have an excellent selection for vegetarian's should this be important to know. Celebrating our son’s birthday here made the trip especially memorable, and the hotel helped create moments we will all cherish. We would highly recommend Prinsotel Mallorca to families and groups looking for a welcoming, clean, and fun-filled holiday experience, it has a great location on the beach, modern well proportioned rooms and great service. We are already looking forward to returning hopefully a third year in a row! Great experience with this hotel. We’ve now stayed here three times, always in the september, and we’re just as satisfied every time! Excellent staff, lots of good food, and pleasant entertainment! Miniclub is super fun for kids! Pool area is superb, and it is very nice that one of them is heated.

We had a wonderful week at Prinsotel la Dorada. The hotel is close to the beach so you can catch amazing sunrises. It is perfect for families with kids, we traveled with a baby and they gave us a baby cot for the room. The room was very clean and spacious and the staff was friendly. We had only booked with breakfast and there was a big variety of food, fruits and cereals, after a week it got a bit repetitive. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling with kids.

We had such a great stay at Prinsotel La Dorada! It’s the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming, especially if you’re traveling with kids. The location is amazing, not right on the beach but just a quick five min stroll to a gorgeous, quieter stretch near the nature reserve - please wake up early for the sunrise! The area around the hotel is full of great restaurants (though very very touristy) , and there so many excellent bike shops nearby too.

The hotel itself is spotless, with beautiful, well kept grounds and modern amenities. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet hit the spot every morning, even if it did start to feel a bit repetitive after a few days. The heated pool was lovely, though a touch on the small side for as many kids stay there.

My 8 year old was in heaven with the kids club, mini disco, and nightly entertainment. The kids club team was incredible, so kind and energetic, and they made every child feel like the star of the show.

The spa was a dream - sparkling clean, modern, and super relaxing after a long day in the sun. Just wish they marketed it better - i only discovered it on the last day!

A few hiccups worth mentioning though/the bathtub in our room never worked properly, and even though I asked the front desk to take a look, no one ever showed up. The air conditioning also wasn’t cooling, and although the front desk said someone would check, we later learned from another guest that the system had been turned off for the season, even though it was still quite warm. A little honesty there would’ve gone a long way. Because of the heat, we ended up sleeping with the balcony doors open, which unfortunately led to a ton of mosquito bites.

On the plus side, the drinks were great and cheaper than most spots outside the hotel, and the Grill restaurant was perfectly fine, just nothing to write home about but good!

All in all, it's a fantastic choice for families: clean, friendly, and ideally located for exploring Alcúdia. My kid would move into the kids club if she could! For couples or solo travelers I’d probably suggest looking elsewhere, but for families, this place really hits the mark!

We visited recently for our first family holiday outside the UK with our three year old. We had a fantastic time. Our son loved the many pools (though they were a touch cold) and having a two-bedroom suite made the stay much easier than it might have been in a hotel without that option. Food was OK, sometimes a little on the cold side. Staff we engaged with were all helpful. The room could have been cleaner, but overall was OK. There was a steamer in the room which was great, but nowhere to easily hang the clothes whilst steaming. Overall, we loved our first time in Mallorca as a family at the Prinsotel.

Service was great, hotel is kept pristine, our room was cleaned every day.
There is no mad rush for the loungers, but if you turn up by 10am you will struggle to get one.
Restaurant can get busy at breakfast, but dinner it was always quiet for the 1st hour.
The food was very nice and plenty of choice.
You can hire bikes from reception, me and my son hired the ebikes at €9 and hour each, which I thought was really good value, we would ride them around the nature reserve at the back of the hotel, which was a lovely addition to our holiday.
We will be going back next year, and we are all looking forward to it. 🫶🏻

As of June 2025, the hotel is in very good condition. This is a higher-quality than average hotel, although not luxury. Finishings, designs, rooms and maintenance are higher/better than usual. The pool/pathways areas are impecable. Bushes perfectly trimmed, not a leave or fallen flower on the floor. Beautiful and cared for daily. June is a great moment to come to Mallorca as it is already very warm/hot enough to crave pool and beach but not hot enough you don't want to walk around. Also, the amount of people is very reasonable. Come July/August, things change and crowds make everything less enjoyable. Front is nice and helpful and the breakfast buffet (in my case I paid for the immense convenience) fantastic.
The beach is a 3-minute walk from the side exit door, just crossing the main street. The beach is fantastic, clean and it barely has any weeds. However, although we did not have issues to find a space, I don't want to be there in July/August as there are around 100 ft from water to the back and I bet it will be more difficult to find a space with a crowd. Hotel location is great as it is right in the main street with plenty food and the typical "everything" stores within walking distance. We stayed 5 days and didn't need to take the car to go have dinner. The rate was also higher than average but there are plenty reasons why it is fair. Overall, very happy with the stay and every aspect of the hotel.
