Hotel Servigroup Orange in Benidorm

Hotel room very dated but it was cleaned every day and towels were replaced every day which was a bonus. Walls very thin we unfortunately had someone next door who snored constantly every night, wished I got earplugs to drown out the noise. Majority of staff were very pleasant and helpful but the odd ones found it hard to acknowledge you when entering reception. Not much selection where food was concerned, not very hot or appetising although you couldn’t fault the breakfast. We felt that we missed out on a breakfast, which we had obviously paid for, we left early on the Saturday morning so had to go down to the restaurant at 7 in the morning. There was no bread to make any toast, no cold milk to put on our cereals or tea, beaverage machine was on so I managed to get a coffee. Under cover was hard cakes which were not appealing at all. We think more effort should be made to put something more substantial on offer.

Where do I start first of all the actual hotel is very clean and nice, what lets this hotel down is very miserable staff! They clearly do not like groups in the hotel and do not treat us groups very nice. I never saw one staff member with a smile on there face. I have never come across a hotel with so many signs up with big red crosses on with so many rules. We were booked in for bed and breakfast, we did take our own alcohol round the pool but we were told this was not allowed as there was a pool bar, fair enough we accepted that. But we were also told we were not allowed to bring any food or drink in from outside the hotel, not even water or crisps. When we checked in we were told nothing about the hotel at all. We only discovered the sanctuary spa bar by chance which was lovely. if you do not like groups do not have them in, would not stay here again.

So I am here at the moment and the hotel I would say is up to standard of the 3 star rating it has been given. What I would say is how very clean it is and the staff are friendly. My room is bog standard 3 star with a couple of english channels on the t.v if you want to watch. The food is fine, the breakfast is the best with english back bacon. The drinks are at an OK price and there is a lovely bar but the entertainment is not for us, line dancing is liked very much. So all in all for what I payed with Jet2 the holiday was a good price for what you get. It is very noisy on an evening with cafe B and sinatras but we knew that anyway. Happy holidays.
