La Posada del Mar Hotel in Denia

Lovely building and beautifully furnished. Rooms are clean and spacious. The location is excellent (except for parking). A great base to explore the old town of Denia on foot. Parking in the area is terrible. Even to park briefly to check in can be impossible as the supposed designated area in a street behind is often full and not available. For longer term parking there is a paid garage up another street... if you have a car I would recommend this, though it is not cheap. Service in the hotel is not great. In our room the bathroom door would not shut properly. We reported this on day one, but nothing was ever done. Not good. We also found the breakfast extremely disappointing and simply not worth the cost. Better to get a breakfast elsewhere. Vegetarians - avoid! Meat in direct contact with cheeses and same utensils used. Totally unacceptable and quite dangerous from a food hygiene perspective. Very limited range of HEALTHY foods available. We would not stay there again.
