Garden Playanatural Hotel & Spa - Adults Only in El Rompido

Hard to fault this hotel. Immaculately clean hotel. Wide corridors and large bedrooms! Bonus was in the corridors there are pure water dispensers! Free water! Nice quiet location just 10 mins to very large quiet beaches and small supermarket! Booking half board is a must as no restaurants near by!!!!!lovey walks on doorstep! We walked a total of 50 miles in the week! Food pretty good and a glass of house red wine only 3 euro!

Just got back after a week at this lovely hotel. Its remote, hence my reason for choosing it. The room was huge and spotlessly clean, in fact the whole hotel is spotless. I found the reception impressive and it had a relaxed, welcoming vibe to it.

There are two pools, one a bit noisier than the other. I stayed by the quiet pool and had a lovely week baking my skin.

The restaurant, serves lots of different cuisine. Sadly, as a veggie there wasn't a huge choice, but hey, not a huge issue and what I did have was very nice. I didn't go hungry. 🙂

The pool bar was good, with friendly staff serving.

All the staff work exceptionally hard to make this hotel run well and that includes the groundsmen, maintenance, restaurant and bar staff, the cleaners, spa staff and reception. Thank you for a nice, relaxing week, I wish I had booked for longer.

Lovely few nights stay at this resort. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and nice quiet location. Activities were good, especially the aqua dance! But could have done with a few more, especially on the last day which was a cold and drizzly one. The staff worked super hard and were always friendly and polite- shout out to Alvaro at the pool bar who always remembered our order and room number. Perfect place if you want a bit of quiet time and R&R.

We booked this hotel as a little get away for myself and my sister. Didn’t book it as all inclusive but when we got there, there was no problem upgrading everyone at reception was very helpful and kind. Rooms very spacious and clean. The food was ok. Huge variety. But nothing amazing. A lot of improvement could be made there (quality and maybe cooked longer as a lot of the meat was raw). Hotel entertainment fantastic every few hours they had something going on at the pool bar. Although some staff at pool bar not very friendly and quiet a few times came off rude. The inside bar staff very friendly and served good drinks. Thank you for our stay.

We came for a week just before the holiday season really gets going. The hotel is spotlessly clean and fresh. We had a superior room with whirlpool and Balinese bed. At first we were concerned with the east facing aspect but it actually turned out perfectly for a cooler afternoon rest. The room has a good size fridge, air con and tea/coffee facilities. The king size bed is really comfortable and the blackout curtains make for a really dark, quiet night sleep. However, our first night was disturbed by very inconsiderate neighbours which the hotel dealt with promptly and the remaining nights were blissfully quiet. The food is all buffett style with an enormous choice at each sitting. Drinks are reasonably priced (we were B&B). The pools and surrounding areas are again very tidy with plenty of sun beds. Being early in the season, the snacks offered at the poolside bar were very limited. The walk to El Rompido is about 40 mins at a slow pace and again, due to being pre-season, very few venues offered evening food. I can imagine the town being lively and having a good choice of eateries once the season gets going. There are no taxis in the town so if you don’t fancy the walk back, ask the bar/restaurant to call you one. Be warned that the starting price will be about €16 before you get in and around €20 by the time you reach the hotel. I would recommend the ferry trip across to the beach and go from San Miguel beach. It’s about a 10 mins walk from the back of the hotel, through the trees to an underpass to the other side of the road. This one runs Fri,Sat,Sun and check the times carefully. They stop running between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. It’s a beautiful beach great for collecting shells! All in all we have had a relaxing and quiet week. I expect it will be quite different in a few weeks time - which is why we came early!

Lovely hotel inside and out. Food great lots of variety. Service brilliant especially bar staff and waiters. Entertainment programme great during the day if you wanted to join in. The team very friendly and good fun. Entertainment at night okay. This hotel beats the TUI blue. However before you book you need to be aware long transfer from airport approx 1 and half hour. Also the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere. Taxis very expensive if you want to go out. But nothing near to see or do.

Just had a great holiday at The Garden. I went as a solo as I needed to get away from teaching!!! This is a high quality place for a holiday. The hotel , pools and surroundings are beautiful. The pools are excellent. There was nothing negative to say about my time here. There is a lot of staff employed here and they are very friendly and helpful. I feel like they really go the extra mile. They work very hard and seem sincere about it. The food is amazing. The buffet is extensive and it isn’t the same food every day. I’ve not had a poolside holiday for over twenty years as I thought they’d be boring. I relaxed very quickly. The place isn’t over crowded - I needed it to be relaxed and not lots of people. I needed a break. This place was a real tonic. I will be definitely coming back again next year.

Beautiful hotel, 2 amazing swimming pools and great animation team. Stunning location, full of wildlife - very relaxing.

The hotel is clean with great rooms. The location is quiet with no kids. The views are spectacular. The rules for all inclusive are a little unclear but the staff are friendly and helpful. Please note they are strict on times, in that i was in the queue for a drink and it hit 7pm. However I would recommend as plenty of bedchairs, nice swimming pools and plenty of space. Food has been good with ample choice. The queues for drinks and coffee at breakfast can be a little hit and miss. The entertainment isn't in your face and it's good fun.
