Hotel Vincci Resort Costa Golf in Sancti Petri

We live just over an hour away and holiday along the Costa luz regularly. Hotel is poor in comparison to the many others we have stayed in. Reception area is lovely, all the grounds were clean however, when we entered our room it was dated and smelled very strongly of damp. The area above the window gave evidence of this the plater has bubbled and been repainted over. But the musty smell in the room was very strongly in-bedded in the furniture. Our friend’s room also smelt damp but not as strongly as ours. The bathroom was clean but black mould around the bath seal and the wall tiles, Cobwebs in the hallway and thick dust on all the lamp fittings. We were only staying 1 night for Halloween and to use the pool facilities, discovered the spa was an extra cost of €20 an adult and €10 a child. Which was disappointing, especially being out of main season and been too cold to use the outside main pool. We planned to stay and use the facilities on the Sunday, only to find out the hotel closed for the year at 1pm on a small sign outside of the restaurant. This was not made aware to us when booking direct on their website or at check in! Very disappointing to pay so much money and be kicked out basically. My son was very sad he couldn’t use the covered pool Sunday morning as they had decided to pack everything away even though there were many guests wanting to use. Food was poor quality for a 4*, not much choice, not sure if it’s because it was the last night. But there was only chips, no rice, potatoes of any other kind to go with anything, my chicken was pink inside, which put me off getting any other meat. We paid a lot of money to eat pizza and chips 😩

They lied to expedia about us using the full meal to not refund us the lunch and dinner which we requested in check in to remove it from our room. It really doesn’t worth the price. We paid around €1000 for two nights and I can’t imagine ever going back to same place.

I see here a lot of good reviews, however my 1 night experience is more negative than positive. I have arrived alone with 2 kids, however, nobody had attended us to the room which was far away and I was looking for it with all the stuff in my hands. no parking place "complete", then I was searching all around the streets where to park the car, in few circles in front of me one car had left the place, so I was lucky. Then in the hotel there were at leat 3 big private festivities, so a lot of people, big noise, and later on loud music. no information about other pools, spa and sauna! i didn't even know about them!! I did not even know that they had sunbeds at the beach. in the room for 3 persons are served only 2 glasses for water, no cups for tea, oh well, there were 4 paper cups… not so comfortable pillows. Pluses: very clean! Spacious rooms (family suite), I took the room with terrace and it was nice to go on the grass, wide choice for breakfast, fresh orange juice, cava.
