My stay was part of my time share. The rooms were small and there was a strange smell in lobby. The food was not great but ok. The beaches are beautiful and walking distance from hotel the only good part. The locals were not so nice!

The reception was nice and helpful. As well as the waitresses at the restaurant - always quick and efficient. I liked the two room apartment, but the cleaning has to be improved for sure. The food selection was not big, but there always something for me to choose from. The quality was rather an average... Breakfasts were quite simple and the main disappointment was coffee. The location was good as for me. You can walk to different sides by the beach or by the promenade. And the are is more peaceful than the part near the castle. On the last day I had a cleaning checking at 9 am if I already had left the room. Although, our group was supposed to check out only at 10 am. Was the price paid it was a good quality for money, but not for repeating.

RCI changed my reservation to a totally different location that was absolutely not suitable for my needs without even telling me.

It’s a fairly decent place considering the price… it’s quite far from the center but there were restaurants and cafes around the place…

Clean rooms overall with a nice little terrace…

The beach is just a few meters away…

We never got to stay at Acuasol. That Hotel was closed for the season, can only assume due to lack of reservations (or it closes EVERY end of Season). They shifted us to Aparthotel Jardines del Plaza, another property adjacent to the ZHotel property Hotel Peñiscola Plaza Suites. It had a great location across from the Beach, but farther down the beach, away from the downtown area. Older unit, with very limited kitchen appliances and a funky heat pump system, Charged 10 Euro per day parking in the garage. It was OK, but cannot in good conscience recommend to anyone to stay at that specific property.

No free parking. Even when u pay at resort they let others park in the spot you paid. House keeper trying to sneak in my room glad I was there. Dirty bathroom wet towels on arrival l. When you do timeshare exchange they always give you bad room locations like near elevator lots noise. No rules on dining you can cough pick your nose touch food and no one says anything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one day stay. Notable staff members: Alberto (Reception) and Roberto (Animation).

Lots of choice on the food, with a beautiful range of dishes. Friendly staff, always on hand. Great atmosphere.

The upper floor hotel rooms facing the playa are particularly comfy.

Peñíscola's sandy beaches have something for all ages.

I emailed in advance in February as I knew there was refurbishment going on and was told Acuasol would be open in April, but a month before arrival I was sent an email saying it would be closed. I had to check in at Jardines del Plaza which was adequate and refurbished but a mile further from Peniscola with not much nearby. The day after I arrived I popped in to Acuasol finding it fully open. From what I could gather from the two nice ladies in reception was that all RCI customers had been relocated to Jardines for no apparent reason. The notes about refurbishment on the RCI site were very confusing and contradictory which is why I checked beforehand. So I think due to administrative reasons you should assume that you could be located at either resort.
